Another Friday rolled around and after two more classes in the afternoon, school was over.

All of them had agreed to join Chen Mianmian for dinner yesterday, and so they dragged Jin Siming out of her seat as soon as school was over. There were 8 of them in total, three boys and five girls. Apart from her and Su Xiaohang, the other girls were Yao Jin, Gao Mei, and Chen Mianmian. The boys included Li Yong, Fang Yuan, and Xu Ruzhou.

It goes without saying that Yao Jin and Su Xiaohang are quite socially active, but the rest of the group are also quite popular kids in the class. So even though Jin Siming is often “detached from worldly affairs” she is able to at least match the face with the name and know them enough that it wouldn’t be awkward.

After a quick discussion, they decided to eat at a hot pot restaurant that an internet celebrity went to. The restaurant in question was quite far from their school and was in fact in another district. They unanimously agreed to take the train to get there.

Truth be told, Jin Siming thought it would be more convenient to take a taxi there even if the fare was a bit more expensive. However, she had no interest in participating in the discussion from start to finish and simply followed behind the crowd.

“Siming, what kind of hot pot do you like? Clear broth? Spicy or tomato soup?”

“Do you have any side dishes that you just have to order when you eat hot pot? For me I always order shrimp balls, what about you?”

The two Omegas, Chen Mianmian and Xu Ruzhou, walked side by side with Jin Siming as they actively brought up different topics to engage with her.

When Jin Siming saw them coming closer to her, she didn’t show her usual indifference and instead took the initiative to get closer to them.

This made Chen Mianmian and Xu Ruzhou feel both pleasantly surprised and flattered!

Xu Ruzhou could still remember when he gave Jin Siming a gift on White Day but the other party’s face was dark the entire time.

After getting closer to him, Jin Siming finally understood why the class called this Omega who blushed so much was called a “little green tea”. It was because Xu Ruzhou’s scent was green tea flavored.

There are many different kinds of suppressant stickers sold on the market today. For some Omegas and Alphas who desire to improve their charm and beauty, their pheromones are the most natural and attractive perfume to the opposite gender. Therefore, in order to cater to these scheming individuals, savvy merchants have produced a certain kind of suppressant sticker that doesn’t cover the scent all the way as it allows an appropriate amount of pheromones to “escape” their glands. Of course, only a limited amount of pheromones were released in order to attract the other sex, so those of the same sex wouldn’t be able to smell their scent and feel nauseous.

This kind of suppressant sticker is still a bit of an unknown product to most students who focus on studying hard in school but have become a common product among the young students who have matured before their peers. And therefore, Xu Ruzhou and Chen Mianmian, two such young omegas who have started noticing the opposite sex, have began using such products.

And that’s why Jin Siming was able to smell their scents quite easily.

Chen Mianmian’s smelled like green apple while Xu Ruzhou’s smelled like green tea. An Omega’s pheromones should automatically smell good to an Alpha but… their scents only smells “good” but didn’t make her heart beat faster at all, let alone feel obsessively intoxicated.

Is it because the scent wasn’t strong enough?

Jin Siming glanced to her right and looked directly at Xu Ruzhou’s neck. She was too embarrassed to get closer with so many people around her.

Forget it, let’s expand our number of samples instead.

Before Jin Siming could respond to Xu Ruzhou’s words, he heard a quiet laugh from behind her.

She turned her head to follow the sound of that voice and saw Yao Jin walking behind her. With picture-perfect eyebrows and a playful smile at the corner of her mouth Yao Jin said: “She probably can’t eat spicy food very well.”

Chen Mianmian was the first to reply: “Ah? Jin-Jin, how do you know her tastes?”

Looking at Yao Jin’s slight smile, Jin Siming narrowed her eyes and glared at her, her eyes full of warning.

This person suddenly came up to them for no reason, so she definitely isn’t going to say anything good about her.

Yao Jin ignored Jin Siming’s glare and said unhurriedly, “Because if it’s too spicy, I’m afraid our classmate Jin might just cry.”

Chen Mianmian wore a surprised expression, “Huh? Are Siming’s taste buds really that weak?”

While the others may not understand the underlying meaning of Yao Jin’s words, Jin Siming immediately knew what Yao Jin wanted to say. By saying that she’ll cry, does that mean Yao Jin wanted to say she will tell the others she had seen her cry before?

She had almost forgotten that the photo was still in Yao Jin’s phone and hadn’t been deleted yet.

Jin Siming really regretted not deleting that photo when Yao Jin begged and held onto her arm to ask for help last night. She should’ve taken a photo of that look as a souvenir and then take out that photo in the future to crush this sharp-tongued little fox.

Fortunately, she at least made Yao Jin agree to doing something for her as a condition for her help last night. She must carefully think about what to do with this opportunity.

With other thoughts occupying her heart, Jin Siming didn’t say much else to Xu Ruzhou and the others. The school was only a few hundred meters from the nearest train station and they quickly arrived.

The first few stops were fine as it was only three or four o’clock in the afternoon but after transferring to a different line, more people started to crowd the train. Another stop later and they passed the Science And Technology Park Station. By now, it was rush hour and when the train stopped again, there was a long line waiting on the other side of the doors.

As the doors opened, people poured in and the train car instantly grew even more crowded.

Jin Siming was originally standing in the middle, but was quickly squeezed into a corner between two train cars as people passed her. She clung to the hard wall behind her with no way to retreat and found herself squeezed to the point of suffocation! At this moment, she really, really regretted not taking a taxi instead.

As they were pushed left and right in this swirling mess, at some point Yao Jin was pushed in front of her and found herself standing in front of her.

The doors closed and the train started again. Yao Jin wasn’t able to maintain her balance and fell backwards. The small gap between Yao Jin and Jin Siming quickly disappeared as she found herself glued to Jin Siming’s body.

Jin Siming: “…..”

Yao Jin: “…..”

Jin Siming blushed and whispered into her ear, “Hey, move it!”

Yao Jin’s cheeks were also pink as she blinked and asked, “…How can I move?”

“You can move backwards, obviously!”

Jin Siming was being crushed under Yao Jin’s body so it wasn’t convenient for her to push Yao Jin back. She could only urge Yao Jin to move away. With that soft and sweet-smelling body pressing against her, Jin Siming was afraid she’d faint because her heart was racing too fast!

Yao Jin stretched out her arms and pressed her hands against both sides of Jin Siming’s body and slowly used some strength to push herself off. As soon as her body leaned back a little, she felt the heavy presence of other passengers behind her. She couldn’t let go, because if she did, she’d be dragged back into the crowd or pushed back into Jin Siming’s arms again. So she was effectively stuck here with her arms around Jin Siming.

“I can’t move, it’s too crowded.” In this position, her gaze could only reach Jin Siming’s chin and so she spoke softly at the fair and slender neck in front of her.

Warm puffs of breath sprayed across her neck, making her skin feel both itchy and numb. Jin Siming inhaled several deep breaths quickly, but nothing she did could suppress the heat spreading across her face.

Then she heard Yao Jin whisper in her ear, “Ah? Why is your neck red?”

Jin Siming tightly bit her tongue and took a hesitant half-step back, straining to do so. She stiffly straightened up so that Yao Jin was only pressing against her shoulders and not her neck.

Then she heard Yao Jin whisper softly, “Is it too hot? Do you need me to blow on your skin for you?”

Jin Siming’s pupils trembled as she hurriedly whispered back, “No need! “

The corners of Yao Jin’s mouth curled up and her clear eyes were full of smiles as she looked at Jin Siming’s nervous expression, “I’m kidding.”

Jin Siming’s anger flared up slightly, “Do you treat everyone like this?”

Yao Jin was dumbfounded for a moment before she hid the gleam of amusement in her eyes, “What do you mean?”

“You…..” Jin Siming gritted her teeth and then forced herself to continue, “Regardless of the circumstances, I’m an Alpha now so y-you doing things like this will cause misunderstandings and trouble me. And if you…”

“I’m only like this with you.” Yao Jin interrupted her without a second thought.

Jin Siming felt her breath catch, and her heart that was beating so fast just now seemed to freeze for an instant before it began beating even more violently.

“Because of the pheromone dependency.” Yao Jin added.

“…..”

Jin Siming’s heart was like a roller coaster, beating faster and then slower, rising and then falling but when it finally came to a stop there was an unexpected sense of loss.

“Can’t you finish your sentence in one go for once?” She said with a frown.

Yao Jin didn’t respond this time. She bit her lip, lowering her eyes as she stared at Jin Siming’s shoulder, feeling a little soreness in her heart.

….so it turns out Jin Siming felt troubled by her.

If she wasn’t sure of her feelings before, last night when Jin Siming pulled her behind and shielded her from Qin Ziqing, that momentary surge of joy and reassurance made her sure that these feelings were indeed love.

Whenever Jin Siming appeared in front of her, she couldn’t help but want to approach her and tease her in order to get her attention. Just now, when Jin Siming was walking with Xu Ruzhou and ignoring her, she felt a sense of loss and possessiveness rise up in her heart. She didn’t want Jin Siming’s attention on some other Omega that wasn’t herself.

And the pheromone dependency would not have caused such a strong reaction.

However, she wasn’t sure if Jin Siming felt the same or even had any positive feelings towards her at all. In fact, Jin Siming’s current attitude towards her seemed more like dissatisfaction and rejection instead.

Although she has never been in a relationship before, she is not a simple white lily who doesn’t understand anything. So before she confirms Jin Siming’s feelings towards her, she will not let down her walls and the first line of defense to her heart.

Yaoo Jin raised her head and stared straight into Jin Siming’s eyes as she slowly asked, “Do you truly feel troubled because of me?”

Jin Siming glanced down at her deep eyes and uneasily turned her head to the side, “Y-Yes.”

“Then….”

Yao Jin lowered her head, her lips curling upwards, but before she could say anything the world around them suddenly spun and Jin Siming hugged her waist tightly and suddenly switched their positions.

Yao Jin stood frozen, staring blankly up at Jin Siming who had pushed her up against the train car’s wall.
