Shi Ran rubbed his hands nervously, he was a little timid, he stood at the door hesitating for a long time before finally knocking.

The faces of his parents in his memory were blurred, and after living with his grandma he had never heard from them again.

All their grievances were carried by his grandma’s already bent spine.

A voice came from the door, it sounded far yet near.

    “Coming coming.”

Shi Ran’s heart began to beat, his cuffs were already pinched and wrinkled as he stood meekly in place waiting for the door to open.

[Don’t be afraid, your parents love you very much, be confident. 】

Shi Ran’s eyes widened feeling both surprised and at a loss: “Do they love Ran Ran very much?”

【Of course, those are your parents. 】

“Then Ran Ran loves them too!”

Shi Ran heard the sound of the door lock being opened, and a completely unfamiliar face appeared behind the door. She gently took Shi Ran’s schoolbag.

“Ran Ran is back, come inside, mum has stewed ribs for you, your dad will be off work in a few minutes, let’s eat together when he comes back.”

It was warm in his heart. He obviously didn’t know this person, but suddenly still felt very happy.

With a slight flush on his little baby-fat face, he bit his lip and smiled sheepishly as he called out.

    “Mum~”
That soft and coquettish sound made Shi Ran’s mother’s heart melt.

“Good boy Ran Ran, come in and change your slippers and do your homework, mummy will wash the fruit for you.”

Shi Ran was very happy, he nodded his head twice and ran into the house.

“Mom good.” Shi Ran sat on the chair and took out his homework, his eyes filled with happiness.

[As long as you can influence those great villains who destroy the world, you will be happy in every life. 】

“Then Ran Ran has to influence!” Shi Ran held the pen holder, raised his arm in a majestic way.

He lowered his head and looked at the math problems that were comparable to ghostwriting and the smile on his little face suddenly collapsed.

He doesn’t know how to do any of them.

He hadn’t seen these types of questions when he was in the countryside either.

He propped up his chin in distress, and he was a bit aggrieved, “How can I do this?”

[Write down the ones you know first, and bring the ones you don’t know to school tomorrow and ask your classmates?]

“Okay~” Looking at the questions on the exercise book, Shi Ran surrendered.

It’s too hard, I can’t do it at all!

When Shi Ran had barely finished the homework, his father came back. The family sat at the dinner table eating happily.

When Toki Ran had barely finished his homework, Toki Ran’s father came home. The family sat down at the dinner table and had a good time.

When Shi Ran looked at the mountain of food in his bowl, he wanted to bury his face in it and try to eat until his belly was too round to hold anything else.

That night, Shi Ran had a sweet dream.

There were no more, bad boys bullying him in his dream, he had his mum and dad protecting him and chasing them away with a stern voice making them fear.

Shi Ran woke up laughing and when he opened his eyes, it wasn’t his grandmother’s wooden bed, it was a bedroom of his own, all to himself. It wasn’t a dream!

Thinking of this, Shi Ran suddenly laughed until his teeth were invisible, and the two little pear vortexes were exposed.

Shi Ran ate breakfast and went out happily with a small schoolbag on his back.

[Someone is following you again, just follow the route of yesterday! 】

His heart tightened, he was anxious and afraid, and stumbled out of the alley.

The sound of footsteps behind him was near, when Shi Ran rushed out of the alley, the sound disappeared.

When Shi Ran ran too fast, he didn’t pay attention to the steps, and his whole body fell straight to the ground, scraping blood from his hands and knees.

The tears dripped down the tip of his nose and landed on the tarmac, leaving two light-colored traces.

Suddenly, he was picked up from behind by someone holding him by his armpits.

    “What are you running for?”

Qin Si’s raspy voice spoke next to Shi Ran’s ear, seemingly somewhat puzzled.

When Shi Ran heard of Qin Si, his small mouth deflated and he unexpectedly cried out with a ‘wow’ sound.

“Someone is following Ran Ran, and Ran Ran is afraid.”

Qin Juan darkened his eyes, his long eyelashes covering the emotions under his eyes as he stroked Shi Ran’s head and coaxed, “Be good, I’m here, no one will dare to hurt you.”
