Chapter 84 – My Son is the Main Villain (part 4)

Jiang Qiao stopped the people who wanted to catch up. “Yuan Wei Xiu has high martial arts skills. You can’t catch up to him if you chase him. This time was just a lesson for him. Change the traps in Ling Yun Peak immediately. There better not be anyone on the outskirts of my Ling Yun Peak next time. Whether it is the sect leader or me, nobody will get off lightly.

“Yes!”

Jiang Qiao turned around and counted. She hadn’t seen Yuan Lang for a few days, so she went to look for him tonight! She wanted to tell him about Yuan Wei Xiu’s injury and chat to him to deepen their feelings!

Jiang Qiao went to the river and boarded the boat on the bank. Li Su and Yuan Lang lived on the island in the middle of the lake. As it was surrounded by water, it was safe and secluded.

Jiang Qiao went ashore. Yuan Lang was practicing with his sword under the moonlight. Jiang Qiao didn’t step forward since she didn’t want to disturb him. She quietly watched from the side. This was the Falling Flower sword technique of the Jiang family. Her uncle had apparently taught him. It seemed that her uncle really regarded Yuan Lang as his own son.

“Lang’er, are you tired? Come here and get a drink and take a break!” Li Su walked over holding water.

“Mother, weren’t you resting earlier? Why are you so disobedient?” Yuan Lang went over to take the cup. He put it aside and touched Li Su’s hand. He then frowned and helped her sit on a chair. He knelt in front of her and said, “Mother, did you go to wash the clothes just now? Didn’t I say that I could do these things? You aren’t in good health, so how can you do these rough jobs?”

Then, he had red eyes. “If dad was still here, then I would feel distressed. When have you ever suffered like this!”

Li Su was a little speechless. It was just washing clothes. When Yuan Lang said this, it was like he thought it was a great travesty. But, she had to admit that the original owner’s life was pretty good. She was pampered by her parents when she lived with them and she didn’t have to endure hardships. After her parents died, she met Yuan Wei Xiu. While they were together, Yuan Wei Xiu didn’t let the original owner do these things. When she met Yuan Qing You later, Yuan Qing You stayed with her all day long. He even held glasses of water for the original owner and fed her too.

This was the first time in the original owner’s 26 years that she had washed clothes. No wonder Yuan Lang felt distressed.

Li Su sighed and touched Yuan Lang’s hair. “Silly boy, you are only ten this year. You are still a child. How can you do this kind of thing? Washing clothes isn’t a big deal, so don’t be sad.”

Yuan Lang bit his lip and held back his tears. He was such an incompetent son, letting his mother suffer!

Li Su felt helpless. She was really not made of glass, which would break when touched. It was just laundry. Apart from a bit of back pain, she was fine.

At this time, Jiang Qiao walked out of her hiding place. “This was due to our negligence. We will send a maid over tomorrow, along with two women to help.”

Yuan Lang turned his head away, not wanting anyone to see him like this.

Li Su stood. “Thank you, but there is no need.”

“Don’t refuse. When my uncle was alive, what kind of life did you have? Even if my uncle is gone, you can still live like before. This is my mother’s promise to my uncle! If you are really grateful, you should thank my uncle!” Jiang Qiao didn’t even look at Li Su. She had no affection for women who were prettier than herself. If it wasn’t for her uncle’s sake, she would have ruined Li Su’s face.

“Come here. You just had a problem with your execution of the Falling Flower sword technique. This is how it should be…” Jiang Qiao drew her sword and demonstrated the technique.

“What Falling Flower sword technique? Dad told me this was the Bright Moon sword technique.” Yuan Lang stood and glanced at Li Su. When he saw his mother had no objections, he walked over to Jiang Qiao.

“What bullshit Bright Moon sword technique? This is my Qiao family’s Falling Flower sword technique,” Jiang Qiao said, irritated. “Come here, I will teach you.”

Under the moonlight, Jiang Qiao taught Yuan Lang.

Li Su watched to the side for a while. Finally, she was unable to bear the cold wind blowing on the lake at night. She shivered and thought that this body was too fragile. She hurriedly went back inside.

As soon as she walked in, her instincts told her that there was someone in the room.

Li Su was alert. On this island in the middle of the lake, only she and her son lived. Their meals were provided by special people, so who was here?

Li Su wanted to withdraw quietly, but her mouth was covered and she was brought into a warm embrace. “Don’t speak. It’s me.”

Yuan Wei Xiu? How did he find her? Li Su was surprised, but she nodded.

Wei Yuan Xiu let her go, a little disappointed. Li Su looked outside, then whispered, “How did you find this place? Jiang Qiao is outside.”

“I just followed her,” said Yuan Wei Xiu softly. “Don’t be afraid. I will find a way to take you away.”

When she heard the tone of Yuan Wei Xiu’s voice, she figured he didn’t know the relationship between Yuan Qing You and the Guang Ming Sect. Li Su didn’t want to expose the relationship between the Guang Ming Sect and Yuan Lang too early, but she couldn’t bear to have Yuan Lang’s father have the reputation of a thief.

After thinking about it, Li Su said softly, “You go. We can’t leave here at all. I don’t want to drag you down. Besides, they have no malice towards us.”

“They don’t have malice towards you? They trapped you on the island in the middle of a lake and made you suffer so much.” Yuan Wei Xiu suppressed his anger. He followed Jiang Qiao and swam in the lake stealthily. He then watched Li Su wash clothes by the lake. The lake was so cold and she had no internal strength, so she must have suffered!

Li Su saw Yuan Wei Xiu’s angry expression and was a little speechless. Why did they all treat her like she was made of glass?!

Yuan Wei Xiu saw that she was silent and thought she had nothing to say. He also knew that tonight wasn’t the best time to take away Li Su and Yuan Lang. Now that he knew where they were, he wasn’t in a hurry. “Wait patiently for a few days. When the time is right, I will take you away. Don’t worry!”

Li Su wanted to explain. “You are really misunderstanding. They do not hold any enmity towards us. In fact, they are Qing You’s…”

“Su Su, I am sorry about before. I shouldn’t have been so selfish and left you and our son alone. I won’t be anymore. I will definitely take care of you,” Yuan Wei Xiu said. He suddenly took Li Su’s hand and had a serious expression on his face.

Suddenly, Li Su didn’t know what to say. She was not interested in men, nor was she interested in love. She didn’t plan on falling in love, let alone falling in love with Yuan Wei Xiu. But, seeing Yuan Wei Xiu like this, it was obvious he wanted to reunite. How should she refuse?

Yuan Wei Xiu heard something outside. He whispered in Li Su’s ear, “Wait for me.” Then, he flew out the window quickly.

Not long after, Yuan Lang called out, “Mother, are you asleep?”

Li Su hurriedly said, “No, what’s wrong?”

Yuan Lang walked in. “Just now, Jiang Qiao said that Yuan Wei Xiu has come here. I am afraid it isn’t safe here, so I want to change location.”

Li Su breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Jiang Qiao and the others weren’t stupid. “I don’t care. What do you mean?”

“I also want to change the location. This place is surrounded by water. In summer, it’s fine, but in winter it is too cold. Mother, you are weak and can’t stand the cold.” Yuan Lang was only thinking of his mother’s health. As for Yuan Wei Xiu, it didn’t matter why he was here. He had no idea how to face Yuan Wei Xiu anyway.

Li Su nodded. “Okay. Mother will listen to you.”

The next day, Jiang Qiao changed their locations. She arranged for a maid to take care of them. Yuan Lang finally felt relieved and began to practice martial arts more seriously.

However, Yuan Wei Xiu was well-prepared. He took Ou Yang Yi into Ling Yun Peak again and broke through the numerous traps. When he arrived on the island in the middle of the lake, he found that nobody was there. Yuan Wei Xiu had been fooled. He was about to go back, but a barrage of arrows fell from the sky. Yuan Wei Xiu and Ou Yang Yi pulled out their swords and cut down the arrows as best as they could. One hit Ou Yang Yi in the leg.

Yuan Wei Xiu retreated to the water while protecting Ou Yang Yi.

The master and disciple left Ling Yun Peak with great difficulty. They were covered in injuries. Ou Yang Yi endured the pain. “Master, what do we do now?”

Yuan Wei Xiu looked at Ou Yang Yi’s wound and thought about it. He was very embarrassed. “Let your wound heal first, then we can talk about it later.” He couldn’t risk Yi’r’s life for Su Su and their son. Forget it. He would look for future opportunities.

Ou Yang Yi understood what Yuan Wei Xiu was thinking. “Master, I’m fine. It is just a minor injury. Let’s spend a few days exploring Ling Yun Peak.”

Yuan Wei Xiu shook his head. “No, they moved Lang’er and his mother to another place. They were wary of us. If we come back a few times, it won’t be any use. We’ll talk about this later.” If he wanted to come back again in the future, then he would come alone. He will not let Yi’r come with him and endanger him. Yi’r had a pitiful life, so he couldn’t let him take risks anymore.

“Master!” Ou Yang Yi muttered, dissatisfied.

“Fine. Practice the Flying Eagle sword technique I gave you first,” said Yuan Wei Xiu.

In Guang Ming Hall, Jiang Qiao said, “Mother, I did a good job this time, didn’t I?”

Qiao Ying was a little helpless. “Yes.”

Jiang Qiao glanced at her eldest brother, Jiang Rong, triumphantly. Jiang Rong was expressionless. “Has uncle been buried?”

“Mm.” Qiao Ying nodded.

“I’m going to pay respects to uncle.” Jiang Rong frowned. Their young uncle was a few years older than him. His father died early, so his uncle was like a father and a brother to him. Ten years ago, uncle was unhappy with his mother because of a woman. Although they still kept in contact, they weren’t as close as before. He didn’t make that trip to Yun Nan, and now his uncle was gone.

Jiang Rong strode to Han Yue Valley, where his uncle lived while he was here at Ling Yun Peak. His uncle was also buried here.

From afar, there was a woman in white standing in front of her uncle’s grave. She appeared to be slim and delicate when the wind blew.

Jiang Rong frowned, unhappiness growing in his heart. He heard that his mother let that woman and her son live in Han Yue Valley. It seemed like this woman was one and the same.

He strode forward to see what kind of woman made his uncle so fascinated.
