Creating Hidden Endings

When I first entered the cave, I thought there was nothing. As soon as I was relieved, the Light items used by Lee Jehee emit light and at the same time, things that were attached to the walls of the cave and had a protective color flew up. The scene was a terrible scene that I really didn’t want to see again.  (t/n : protective color means the color of an animal that resembles that of its surroundings, allowing it not to be spotted by enemies and thereby protecting its life.)

At that time, Baek Taera, who was standing in the front and pouring out the skills, looked back. Thanks to the light items Lee Jehee placed in the air, the inside of the cave was as bright as the daytime. So I could see just how pathetic he was. That said, I had no intention of going forward.

“What does a guy who eats all the EXP points say? Why don’t you come here?” 

“I’m a rock. Think of it as a rock rolling in a cave.”

Yeah, I’m a rock, and you’re a rock. So don’t touch poor inanimate stones. I turned a blind eye to Baek Taera as if I had not heard anything.

I glanced at Lee Jehee with a low smile. Unlike Chorok and Hana, who work hard to slaughter monsters, this guy stands still and laughs at the subject of only using his skills. Of course, the power of magic was so good that more than half of the monsters that became corpses were those that Lee Jehee killed. 

“But I think we are almost done organizing.”

Hana-ssi, who approached next to him, said while pointing to the inside of the cave where the road had been opened. Baek Taera, who had been sulking when the people who believed to be on his side didn’t help him, turned his head.

When I activate Baek Taera’s favorite refresh skill, he looks back with a relaxed face. I also smiled awkwardly at him, asking him to take a good look. I thought that he would not pick a fight anymore.

Hana-ssi, who went behind Chorok, who was indiscriminately wielding a sword to break through the road in front of him, gathered the party. Baek Taera, who was completely relaxed but was still pretending to be sulky, showed his finger to come closer. As he slowly got up from his position, Lee Jehee glanced at me.

Now that I look at it, it was the safest ideal spot between Baek Taera and Lee Jehee. As I ran and stood between them, the party moved forward little by little. 

“Traitor brat.”

 “Is there anyone who’s more disloyal than you?”

“Still, I don’t think that’s something Baek Taera-ssi should say—”

Hearing that, Hana-ssi, who was ahead, burst into laughter. At the sound of laughter echoing through the cave, Baek Taera raises his eyebrows.

Obviously, I saw her laughing, but Hana-ssi pretended to be innocent. Baek Taera’s sharp eyes were on me with her natural acting like it was real. I’m the easiest one. 

While arguing with Baek Tae-ra and moving forward, the ceiling gradually rose. As we proceeded further along the straight road as one, a large vacant lot appeared under the widened round ceiling. 

The back of the round space was blocked, and the road that continued was cut off there. This was a place where the final boss was likely to appear. 

“I think this is the final clear section.”

Hana-ssi, who stopped in one place, called the mice gathered at her feet and looked around the wide space. Hana-ssi’s other search assistance were rats, sent as soon as they reached the cave as observers.

“It’s coming.”

And as soon as the bored voice signaled the start, the feet vibrated. I staggered because it was difficult to stand, so Lee Jehee grabbed my arm and managed to keep my balance.

When I took my eyes off my shaky feet and raised my head, I noticed that something like black fog was swirling around in the empty central space, creating a certain shape.

At the same time as Baek Taera’s bewildering cry, Hana-ssi immediately drew out her bow. Chorok, who shouted to prepare, stood up in front of the party and raised his sword. Embarrassed by that, I was unable to do anything, so Lee Jehee pulled my shoulder and held me in his arms.

Nightmare’s attack skills were blocked by the shield and disappeared. At the same time, Baek Taera, whose mana became zero, staggered. 

The healer’s sacrifice was literally a healer’s unique defense skill that could block damage equal to the amount of mana the caster had. And the fact that such shields made it disappear meant that all of Baek Taera’s mana had run out.

In other words, it meant that the skill of showing invisible eyes stopped. And that’s why Baek Taera’s eyes, which have turned black, have lost their light and have not been able to focus on any one place.

She ran to support Baek Taera, who was sitting still and wrapped her arms around her shoulders. Then a blue light burst out in front of her.

Hana, who floated into the air riding on a wave of blue light, put her feet on the stirrups attached to the crossbow, and then leaned over and pulled the bowstring. At that moment, a pure white arrow appeared and gathered blue light energy in front of the arrowhead. 

Hana-ssi let go of the bowstring as the energy grew to the size of a rock. The arrow that left the show hit the Nightmare’s abdomen, leaving a path of pure blue light in its trail.

While I was supporting Baek Taera, Hana attacked the Nightmare using her awakening skill, followed by Han Chorok’s special move to launch a chained attack. And Lee Jehee, who was watching Baek Taera with me, called Han Chorok with a frown. 

We’ve been together for more than a week, but I’ve never seen Lee Jehee make such an expression.

Hana was a long-distance dealer. On the other hand, Han Chorok was a short-distance dealer. Han Chorok, who ran to the Nightmare and stabbed it with his sword, was too close to it. More than anything, the problem was that he was standing still even after receiving fatal injuries.

Along with the scream-like cry that Hana had made, the skills she had activated poured into Han Chorok.
