The conclusion was that the poison bait tactic was hopeless.

“It did eat it though……”
When the poisoned intestines were placed in front of the Poisonous Bite Rat in the first layer, it had eaten it.
It appears that they weren’t against cannibalism.
Only, having eaten the poisoned feed, the displayed status condition that popped up above the Poisonous Bite Rat was a mere Poison (1).
It was possible that it was because I used poison from the Poisonous Bite Rats themselves, but it seemed like the Poisonous Bite Rats had a strong resistance towards poison ingestion.
If so, then this poison bait operation was unlikely to succeed.

“Well, I got to learn a bit more about the front tooth of the Poisonous Bite Rat, so it was at least worth it to investigate.”
There were some fruits to my labor as well.
In order for the Poisonous Bite Rat’s front tooth to produce poison, it appeared that a few requirements had to be met.
Specifically,

・Both sides of the pointed section of the front tooth had to be touching something.
・There had to be pressure exerted from the base of the front tooth to the end.

Something like that.
In addition, the explanatory note stated that if the curse concentration within the surrounding air escalated, the concentration of the poison would intensify too, and because of this, I also discovered that the amount of poison would increase if the pointed end of the tooth touched something that had a similar temperature to that of a living organism.
That and I got a rough idea of exactly how much poison I could generate from the single front tooth as well.
On this account, I now knew of the methods to make a strong venom.

There were some parts I understood, but it seems that the curse had brought forth a special kind of venomous substance.
At any rate, sorcery…… Sorcery huh.
An art could be considered a technique, and no matter how mysterious it could be, I believe that the contents of it should still be reasonable.
And so, I’ll have to properly decipher that reason. In order to be able to handle this for ourselves, I think I’d have to change it into something that anyone could use in their own way.

I looked over at the grudge table.
I don’t know the full details behind the grudge table’s mechanics, but in short, it was a device that utilized the surrounding curse to change the item placed on top of it in whatever way the user desired.
There were limits to what was able to be changed, but if it’s within those limits, it was fairly flexible.

“To implant a curse within one’s own gaze, in other words, an evil eye, which was often seen in stories with magic eyes. There was also a religious belief in the past that said you would gain and be able to use the power of whatever you ate. Rather, shamanism? In any case, its something that often gets brought up in occult stories.”
What I’m about to do from here on out probably won’t appear sane.
However, within a world filled with curses, I believed that my prospects of success were within the limitations.

“Alright, let’s do it.”
I left the safety area and moved to the office kitchenette.
It was fine if it was broken, I just had to search for a usable container and I ended up finding a damaged tea bowl as a result.
Then, I went back to the first layer and annihilated the Poisonous Bite Rats.
I collected as many Poisonous Bite Rat’s front teeth as I could.

“Well, shall we begin?”
I gathered the things I needed and returned to the safety area.
First, I fixed the bowl to the floor using the many Poisonous Bite Rat bones and cables I had.
After that, with the Poisonous Bite Rat’s front tooth in my left hand, I brought it towards the bowl, putting the pointed end against it.
Then…… I used the rebar with attached concrete in my right hand to knock against the base of the Poisonous Bite Rat’s front tooth.

“Okay”
Hereupon, the activity of the curse within the Poisonous Bite Rat’s front tooth causes a deep green fluid to ooze out of the tooth, dampening my hands in the process.
The seeping liquid gathers to a droplet and falls inside of the tea bowl.
The droplets that descend are collected at bottom of the tea bowl.
It was a success.
And if it succeeds once……

Next was to simply work while devotedly praying.
Same as when I was cursing an item on the grudge table, I continued hoping in order to acquire a poison that was even slightly stronger and kept on producing the Poisonous Bite Rat’s venom.

“Guu…… Not yet, this amount wasn’t enough……”
The venom soaks into the eye on my left hand. A searing pain assails me and I continued producing without paying mind to it.
Even if my HP decreases due to the poison, as long as it doesn’t get to a critical level, it can be left alone.
This was the safety area. You wouldn’t die unless you made a mistake and received an attack with instant death or something similar.

“Next…… next, next! NEXT!!”
If the poison ran out and stopped generating, I would pick up the next tooth and resume my work.
Occasionally, the tooth in my hand would be smashed into pieces, or I would miss and nearly hit the tea bowl, but despite that, I continued my work.

“The 13th tooth huh…… This is already its limits.”
After accumulating the venom from 13 of the Poisonous Bite Rat’s front teeth and pouring that venom up to the tea bowl’s broken-off section, I wasn’t able to store anymore.
Therefore, I drank my potion kettle, fully recovered my HP and carried the tea bowl with the venom to the grudge table.

“Now, let’s get started.”
The venom filled tea bowl is placed on top of the grudge table and fog begins to envelope it.

“I am seeking a new power.”
All 13 of my eyes were wide open and directed at the sphere of fog generating on the surface of the grudge table.

“The enemies in which I glare at will be afflicted with poison. I seek a power that curses and kills.”
Without missing any changes, I stared at it, giving off the impression of not allowing even a slight oversight.

“I desire a power that will reside inside my rainbow-colored eyes.”
The fog could be seen taking on a geometrical shape.

“For the sake of obtaining this power, I will consume the poison. I myself, will experience the poison bestowed upon me. Devour it and use its strength as my own.”
The fog appeared to begin mixing in colors other than the usual red, black, and purple.

“Please, allow me the chance. I have shown my resolve. Grant me the opportunity to possess an eye which projects poison with my gaze. A curse that instills poison into the enemies of yours truly!”
The fog itself gets absorbed.
It’s endlessly swallowed up by the venom resting inside of the tea bowl.
Without a sound, without a light, and without a scent. However, the venom has certainly been altered.

“It’s complete……”
Finally, when the absorption had finished, what remained on top of the grudge table was tea bowl consisting of the deep-green liquid which at a glance, didn’t seem to have changed.
Despite that, even without appraising it, I could tell that not only was this going to be important to me, but it was also a clear invitation, beckoning me to an unknown danger.
Which is why I dared to appraise it.
Certainly, it would be beyond drinking if I knew it was something dangerous, yet my instincts told me that it was everything that I had hoped for.

Even so, I continued to drink, not once separating the tea bowl from my mouth.

A change arrived immediately.

My mouth releases an scream that didn’t seem to have belonged to a human.
My body and the blood vessels within it were boiling. A pain that emulated the feeling of being scorched.
My ears were able to perceive the many cries of thousands of rats.
My eyes saw a view that spun violently and I myself, shed tears of blood.

“LFSJYZHKBOTEEZHG!!”
My HP bar drastically diminishes.
The status condition displayed was Poison (108).
I forcibly moved my body and plunged my face into the bowl gushing restorative water. I drank it up in one gulp and fully restored my HP in one go.

“KDZSTHDSAAVGJY——!!”
I shrieked then drank the water. I drank the water then screamed. I cursed the carelessness and impulsiveness of my actions and single-mindedly scarfed down the restorative water greedily in order to simply not lose my life.
After 1 minute had passed, I was enlightened.

“AHAHAHAHAA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! A H A H A H A H A H A H A H A H A H A H A !!”
This was unknown.
This was a domain in which I didn’t know about.
I had desired this, I came to the world of CNP for this.

“HOW GREAT! WONDERFULLY GREAT!! I WOULD’VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET THIS IN REAL LIFE!! I NEVER KNEW OF SUCH PAIN IN REALITY! I COULDN’T HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED THIS PAIN IN REAL LIFE! The words that spewed out of my mouth were tinged with mania as they returned to resembling human speech.
My body which was overwhelmed with pain, now swelled with strength.
The auditory hallucinations of the rat’s cries had subsided and the tears of blood vanished.
