“I learned it from an English tutor for over two years.” She thought for a moment and then added, “I know a little French and Italian as well.”

The female teacher raised her head when she heard that and revealed a pleasantly surprised smile on her face.

“How proficient are you with your French? Are you able to converse with other French people?”

Su Junxin nodded her head. “If it’s some trivial conversation, there’s no problem. However, if it involves some professional terms, then there might be a slight problem.”

The female teacher looked at another person beside her, and the two of them then approached each other and discussed softly for a moment.”

“Student Su, could you please come here tomorrow morning at 10 am? I will apply for a leave of absence for you with your form teacher.”

Su Junxin blinked her eyes. Without asking anything, she walked out of the boardroom after agreeing to the female teacher’s request.

When she walked past the few people by the corridor, she could hear a few disdained voices.

“Everyone else had only been in there for 10 minutes, yet why is it that she was in there for so long? I’m sure she must’ve messed up her speech and blew it!”

“Don’t put it that way, Su Junxin’s English results are actually pretty good. I’m guessing she might’ve made a mistake because she was nervous since this was probably her first time participating in a competition.”

“Don’t you know yet? I heard from some people this morning in the 10th class next door that Su Junxin is really good at cheating. Her results are good because she copied from someone else!”

Qin You then frowned as he began to ponder.

After a moment, he suddenly realized what was happening.

“I heard that there would be some foreigners coming to our school for an exchange program, so it might be due to this reason.”

Su Junxin was startled for a moment. “Are these foreigners from France?”

“Yes, it’s a French high school that’s affiliated with our school. Basically, we’d visit each other every year.”

Su Junxin then let out an “oh” and understood a little better about what was going on.

The following day, she actually saw two foreign guests with blond hair and blue eyes.

After being introduced, Su Junxin was able to understand the entire situation.

Amongst the two French guests, one of them was called Camille while the other was Ben. Neither of them understood Mandarin, and their English was below average as well. Initially, there was going to be an interpreter accompanying them during that trip. However, before their flight, the interpreter had suddenly suffered from appendicitis and was sent to the hospital.
