When Liu Ya realized that there was no movement inside the house, she went back to pick up the basement key before heading back into the place. However, she realized that the door had actually been locked from the inside! Upon seeing that, her face immediately became even darker.

“I see you’ve grown some guts; you actually dare to even lock the door now!” She clenched her fist and banged on the door, causing some loud noises as she threatened, “Su Junxin, I didn’t raise you so that you can eat and live for free without doing anything in return. Just as she said that, the sound of the lock turning could be heard from inside; the door opened slowly.

However, very soon, the smile on her face disappeared when she saw that there were two people behind the door with their eyebrows raised.

“Who are you people?”

One of the two people was a middle-aged woman in a blue T-shirt; she sized Liu Ya up once before expressionlessly bringing out her own identifications.

Su Junxin lowered her eyes to glance at the fake injury on her wrist and nodded her head. 

“Sigh, such a good girl. She’s so pretty and even has good grades; how did she end up with such a stepmother?”

Director Zhang and Auntie Niu were teaching Liu Ya a “lesson” the entire afternoon; both of them did not stop until the latter signed a letter of guarantee.

Su Junxin had other plans and did not plan to live in that house for the long term. Moreover, her own room had long been renovated by Su Ya into the latter’s own closet. Therefore, Su Junxin rejected Auntie Niu’s offer to help her move upstairs. On top of that, Su Junxin even managed to make them sympathize with her even more such that Director Zhang only felt pity for her.

That night, Su Junxin laid in bed after washing up and soon entered Dreamland.

Rightie crawled out from her pajamas as it slowly approached Su Junxin’s right arm. Then, it stuck out its tongue and carefully licked away the blood that was all over her hand as it let out a soft sob.

Su Junxin felt a warmth in her heart, and she stopped drowning in her thoughts. She then caressed its dragon horns. “I’m fine; it’s just a small scratch.”

Su Junxin raised her right hand and rubbed her thumb and middle finger together as she suddenly thought of something. 

Suddenly, a purple light flashed in her palms! However, it faded as quickly as it flashed.

‘This body is really too weak; I’ve had to utilize so much energy just to pin down a normal person. In fact, I’m only able to utilize less than a tenth of my power; even the storage capacity for my lightning ability is so pitifully scarce…’
