At midnight, a black shadow passed by the rooftop of Su’s villa.

The window sill on the second floor had been silently opened before a metal cage was thrown inside.

The mouse inside the cage was bigger than a cat, and its eyes reflected a red light. After landing on the carpet, it raised its body and sniffed the air before swiftly rushing towards the large bed in the center of the bedroom.

Su Yi had a faint smile on her face as she took half a step forward. The moment she spoke, her voice was so soft that one could probably squeeze some water out of it.

“I’ve got something to ask you, Su Junxin.”

Su Junxin was caught off guard when she was cajoled and could not help but shiver. She opened her mouth and coldly uttered out a word. “Speak.”

When she realized that Su Junxin’s attitude towards her was so much different now, Su Yi subtly frowned and felt a little annoyed on the inside.

She looked at the man beside her and lowered her hands which were folded in front of her chest before turning around to walk towards the deeper parts of the school building.

“Follow me; this place isn’t suitable.”

Thus, the trio entered a half-abandoned equipment room. The man followed behind Su Junxin and stood in front of the door with his arms folded in front of his chest after the women entered. The man had a serious posture that blocked the path completely.

Su Junxin raised her eyes to scan the ceiling before she curled her lips up into a smile of satisfaction.

Su Yi and Liu Ya had the same eyebrows… both of them seemed to have the same fussiness and scornfulness in their gazes too.

Su Junxin left off a grunt in acknowledgment and just stood still as she looked at Su Yi.

“So what if I slapped you? Am I supposed to make an appointment with you beforehand?” Then, Su Junxin raised her hand to slap the girl again, this time on Su Yi’s right face. “What’s the matter? Su Yi was in utter disbelief as she covered up her face, which had swiftly swelled up while her tears fell onto the ground.

“Su Junxin! You’re crazy!”

The man who had just witnessed the scene was stunned; he put away his cellphone and said, “F*ck” before rushing towards them with reddened eyes.

Su Junxin did not even turn her head as she threw a punch outwards, accurately landing on the man’s lower jaw. A kick quickly followed up the punch.

The man’s movements staggered as he felt choked off a painful grunt. He covered his lower body like a cooked shrimp as he shriveled on the ground. He was in so much pain that his face had been distorted. 

Su Junxin shook her wrist, which had gone numb as she lowered her eyes to look at the man before letting off a scornful laugh. 

“How shameful can you be? Rushing to enter a fight between two women.”

Then, she turned around to look at Su Yi, dragging her tone with unknown intentions. “Now, you should probably know what I did to your mom, don’t you?”

That was actually the very first time Su Yi had been slapped in her life! She was both angry and panicking as her tears continued to flow down her face while she was shivering. 

She gritted her teeth and hissed as she said, “Su Junxin, I’m going to tell the headmaster! You can forget about even coming back to study in this high school!”

When Su Junxin heard that, she did not seem to mind it at all as she tugged her lips into a smile. There was only coldness beneath her eyes.

“Fine. In that case, I might as well bring up the evidence of you cheating during the class allocation examination. Let’s see which one of us gets expelled, shall we?”

Right after she said that, Su Junxin walked over to the man who was still wailing in pain while lying on the ground. Then, she directly opened the equipment room’s door and walked out. 

Su Yi’s face had gone ashen as she breathed heavily and fell to the ground.

The first session for the morning was her English lesson; hence, she took out her study materials and placed them on her desk.

Qin You walked behind Jiang Rushi as they walked up the podium; his smiley gaze scanned the crowd.

Whispers began to break out within the classroom.

Right after he said that, the women below the podium could not help but squeal out softly in surprise.

When Su Junxin noticed that there were gazes looking at her from all directions, she scanned the empty seat beside her through the edge of her eyes. Then, the edge of her lips subtly twitched.

Soon after, under the gaze of the entire class, Qin You arrived at his seat.

The handwriting was unexpectedly beautiful, and the words were of a thin font, seemingly written with a fine tip.

Su Junxin pursed her lips and extended the tip of her pen to push both the chocolate and sticky note back to where it came from.

Then, she turned her head to another direction and faced the wall.

A moment later, she suddenly felt as if someone was poking her arm, and she subconsciously turned her head. However, she once again saw that there was chocolate on her table.

Su Junxin was a little surprised as she looked at Qin You; in return, all she saw was him blinking his eyes, gesturing towards her to look at his bag, which had many chocolates inside.

She stared at the two pieces of chocolate for a moment, and her fingers slid past her slippery desk. Then, she pinched the little ribbon on top of the chocolate and dragged it towards her.

A strong taste seemed to be spreading within her mouth as she turned around to meet his gaze. At that moment, she revealed her first sincere smile since the two of them met.
