Chapter 60 – Super smart

Zhou Da Lang and his two younger brothers returned home with many privets, but they didn’t know what to do with them.

Man Bao immediately went to Keke to check on the Encyclopaedia post for the Ligustrum, and found that the post had not been written up. In addition, the reward points have not been awarded.

She couldn’t help but wonder, “Keke?”

The system replied, “Researchers are still conducting the related research. Although there are some records in the Encyclopaedia, they must verify the accuracy of the records before they can post the information.

“Unlike the previous Wisteria and Azalea, the Ligustrum requires pharmacological knowledge, and so, the evaluation will take some time.”

He assures Man Bao that as soon as the researchers confirm the information, it will be uploaded, and the points, settled.

Man Bao didn’t expect this to be so troublesome. If there are items that the researchers can’t figure out in the future, does it mean that she will never receive her points?

Afraid that she might be discouraged, Keke explained, “Such a situation will not happen. In order to protect the rights and interests of the host, the main system stipulates a time limit – plants, if the research exceeds one month, and animals, if the research exceeds three months. If the entry and rewards still can’t be determined, then, a minimum reward of 1,000 points will be paid first.”

He added, “If the host can find an entry which humans in the future can’t make sense of beyond the time limit, that thing must have gone extinct a long ago. Perhaps the points the host needs to buy the medicine for your mother will come together all at once.”

Man Bao’s eyes lit up, “So amazing? Then, tell me, what species are extinct in your future, and I’ll just go and specifically find them for you?” ( Clever little girl!)

The system didn’t expect her to be so clever. His previous hosts have also quickly discovered this method, but they were adults while she was just a little girl.

Keke regretted talking too much and quickly discouraged her, “Host, the main purpose of our Encyclopaedia is to pursue the comprehensiveness of species, not just to include endangered species. Therefore, the subsystem is forbidden to conduct searches in this regard. I can only scan the vicinity while following the host and then, make a comprehensive inclusion.”

So, even two years ago, when Man Bao slipped into the vegetable garden and pulled up the cabbage seedlings, he stiffened up and entered them, the Encyclopaedia didn’t say a word. In fact, the main system even gave Man Bao a couple of bonus points.

Well, there were so few points that Keke didn’t have the heart to deduct the points for his salary.

Although Man Bao is regretful, she also thinks that the rules set by the Encyclopaedia are good.

But, since there is no entry for the privet, what are they going to do with the privets?

Man Bao crouched on the ground and watched as her brothers carefully take out the bunches of Ligustrum from the pack basket and laid them on the mat. She asked, “Are you drying them in the sun?”

Zhou Da Lang said, “Look at these flourishing bunches of fruits, how long does it take to dry in the sun? Besides persimmons, I have never seen any other fruit that needs to be dried. The persimmons have to be peeled. Do you need to peel these fruits? Persimmons have to be massaged when they are sun-dried, do these need to be massaged?”

The main point is, why did they bring back so many privets? Their mother will not be able to consume all of these fruits.

Mrs Zhou walked out with Xiao Qian’s support. She heard what Da Lang said earlier, glanced at her stupid son, turned around and said to Er Lang, “Er Lang, go to the county with old five tomorrow. Take a bunch of the privets to the medicine hall. Ask them how to pack this and if they accept processed privets. If they do, how much is 0.5 kg? And how much is 0.5 kg of fresh privets?”

Er Lang obeyed.

Mrs Zhou asked them to put everything in the woodshed to dry. Everyone was instructed to be more careful when they enter and leave the woodshed.

Man Bao triumphantly announced to Keke, “Even if there is no entry, my mother has a way.”

The system agreed, “The host’s mother is very smart. She is the smartest one in this family apart from the host.”

Man Bao curiously chatted with Keke, “How do you know I’m the smartest?”

“By scanning. Humans in the future divide human intelligence into several levels,” the system said after a pause, “The host’s intelligence is the highest in the entire Qili village, and also within a radius of 100 miles. When I fell years ago, I prioritised the highest intelligence.”

Otherwise, although the place where he landed is a little bit off, he won’t have ended up in this remote valley. For the first two years, the system felt regretful, but as Man Bao grew older and cuter, and they got along well, it became clear that she didn’t regard him as a machine, but as a friend and an elder, so he stopped having regrets.

The most important thing is that the host is young, and her intelligence will increase as she grows. As long as she uses her brain diligently and studies more, the world is her oyster when she leaves the village.

Keke defines Man Bao as a child with good prospects, but in the past two years, he has been losing sleep over this.

As she is now officially enrolled in school and has a Master (aka Mr Zhuang), Keke felt less pressured and so, he turned into a chatterbox.

And so, he carried on, “In your family, your mother’s IQ is higher than that of your father and second brother. Your second and fourth brothers have the same IQ, which is the highest of all the brothers.”

Man Bao disliked Si Lang intensely, “Of course second brother is smart, but why is fourth brother considered smart? He is so stupid that he went gambling!”

“That is not only a question of IQ, but also a question of self-control,” the system said. “I only scanned their intelligence, and a comprehensive evaluation requires some evaluation methods.”

Man Bao was particularly curious, “Then which of my nephews is smart?”

Keke was silent for a while and replied “None. Er Ya’s intelligence is about the same as her father.”

“Da Tou, Er Tou, San Tou and Si Tou are not smart?”

Keke, “Their intelligence are not as good as that of your brothers. Of course, it might also be because they are still young. Intelligence can be developed.”

Man Bao, my nephews and nieces are all fools! (Hahahahaha…)

Man Bao looked at her nieces and nephews with a caring look reserved for fools, sighed sadly and went into the kitchen to talk to her three sisters-in-law, “Eldest sister-in-law, second sister-in-law, third sister-in-law, the next time you have another child, let big brother, second brother and third brother go and collect walnuts for you to eat, okay?”

The three sisters-in-law were bewildered, “We’re having a baby?”

The main point is not whether this is good or not.

The important point is, “Eat walnuts to make your child smart!”

If they have another fool, their family will become a nest of fools.

The system had the good sense to shut his mouth and pretend to be dead.

However, Man Bao, didn’t give him rest and asked about the intelligence of the people in school.

Keke said, “The host’s little friend is very smart, and his intelligence is on par with you. In addition, your teacher’s IQ is also very high, which is slightly lower than yours. However, it was only after years of studying that his IQ increased. As such, if the host and your little friend would study carefully and think more, you will definitely be smarter in the future.”

Man Bao exclaimed in surprise because in her opinion, Mr Zhuang is very, very smart. In reality, she is actually smarter than Mr Zhuang?

With this knowledge, the energetic Man Bao ran to school the next day and looked at Bai Shanbao with a particularly gratified look.
