Chapter 23 Bleeding Heart

Fatty Wang rushed forward and examined Xiang Ning’s wounds. To his dismay the wounds were serious and his life might be in danger.

Fang Rou ran up and kicked her brother. “Are you mad?! He’s only a tier one martial artist! How could you be so despicable!” She was furious this time. While it was true that she was frustrated about Xiang Ning bullying her, she didn’t want her brother to actually cripple him.

Fang Hao’s face twisted with shame as he blamed himself for not controlling his strength. If he really had beaten Xiang Ning until he was a cripple, his father would do the same to him!

The siblings approached Xiang Ning to inspect his injury and they barely contained their gasps upon laying their eyes on him.

Fang Hao kneeled and gently touched Xiang Ning’s body; Wang Zhe immediately slapped his hand away and shouted, “Get lost!”

Fang Hao showed no displeasure on his face but replied in a grave tone, “He has three broken ribs and internal injuries. If you trust me, I’ll make sure that he’s healed.”

Wang Zhe shook with rage upon hearing how badly Xiang Ning had been beaten. He wanted to plant his fist in Fang Hao’s face.

Fang Rou didn’t look too good, either. She knew that if her brother had used another 10% of his power, Xiang Ning would be dead.

“Why should I trust you!” Wang Zhe glared at them with hate in his eyes.

Fang Rou replied in a soft tone, “Wang Zhe, now’s not the time for this. My father is the master of the Thunder Dojo, and we have a recovery capsule!”

“Recovery capsule?” Wang Zhe’s ears perked up. He knew what recovery capsules were, as well as the cost to use one. It wasn’t something he could afford. But what shocked him even more was that the father of the siblings was the master of the dojo.

“We’ll pay for the cost to use it and the necessary compensation afterward.” Fang Hao waved for his subordinates to carry Xiang Ning.

Xiang Ning was carried up to the twenty-ninth floor of the dojo, then stripped to his underpants and placed within the recovery capsule with various cables connected to his body.

“Young master, everything’s ready,” a servant with a white shirt informed Fang Hao.

“Inject the recovery fluid,” Fang Hao instructed.

“Inject the recovery fluid!” the servant echoed and pressed a button.

A viridian fluid slowly filled the recovery capsule and covered Xiang Ning’s body, leaving only his head outside.

Wang Zhe anxiously stared at Xiang Ning before asking, “How long will it take to heal him?”

“His wounds look serious. If we were to go to the hospital it would usually take three months to heal, but within the recovery capsule, it should only take an hour. I’m giving him the best recovery fluid,” Fang Hao replied.

Fang Hao wasn’t lying, either, as the recovery fluid being used had been extracted and refined from the blood of a tier seven Beast King. While the recovery capsule was seemingly full of liquid, in reality only a single drop had been used.

A single drop of recovery fluid cost three hundred thousand dollars, but at the moment, Fang Hao was fully focused on healing Xiang Ning. If word got out that he didn’t do so, his reputation would go down the drain.

Wang Zhe finally relaxed when he heard that it would only take an hour to heal Xiang Ning. At the very least, Xiang Xiaoyu wouldn’t know what had happened to her brother.

Fang Rou, on the other hand, was feeling mixed emotions. She saw how Xiang Ning had fought for the entirety of the match and realized his talent, especially when Xiang Ning had managed to find her brother’s old wound and relentlessly attack it. If the match were to have continued, would he have won against her brother?

Just when everyone was deep in their thoughts the servant suddenly exclaimed, “Huh? Impossible!”

Fang Hao’s brow furrowed. “What’s wrong?”

“Young master! The recovery fluid is being rapidly absorbed!” the servant reported in disbelief.

He couldn’t believe his eyes as he directed his attention toward the display. On the display, Xiang Ning was indeed rapidly absorbing the recovery fluid, but instead of healing his wounds, the recovery fluid was reinforcing his body!

The servant relayed his observation. “This is a very rare case, it might be that his body was heavily wounded and is currently reinforcing itself and healing its wounds at the same time using the recovery fluid.”

Fang Hao and Fang Rou were stunned and only managed to open their mouths after a few moments, “When will he be fully healed?”

“One hour, but we’ll need more recovery fluid,” the servant replied. He did a silent calculation and realized that it would take at least a million dollars worth of recovery fluid for Xiang Ning to be fully healed.

Wang Zhe hastily reminded Fang Hao, “Hey, you promised to fully heal Xiang Ning, don’t you dare break your word!”

Fang Rou sighed and looked at her brother with sympathy; the cost would be fully paid by him.

Fang Hao gritted his teeth. “Inject the recovery fluid again! Keep going until he fully recovers!”

“Yes, young master!”

Xiang Ning, on the other hand, was feeling very relaxed, bathing in the recovery capsule. A sudden notification shook him from his stupor.

Absorbing recovery fluid could increase his cultivation! He immediately expanded all the pores on his body and started absorbing the recovery fluid like a madman as his cultivation explosively increased.

Twenty-one minutes later.

It had been an hour since the beginning of Xiang Ning’s recovery, and Fang Hao was close to tears because this was the fifth drop of recovery fluid—and Xiang Ning was absorbing it rapidly, too! He had just used 1.5 million dollars to heal Xiang Ning.

He turned to his sister. “My dear sister, what kind of monster have you offended? He just ate up all of my money!”

Fang Rou couldn’t even be angry with her brother. This was far too cruel because Xiang Ning had just used up all the money her brother had saved up since he was young. She didn’t even know how to console her brother right now.

A clicking sound was heard and Xiang Ning stepped out from the recovery capsule, his face full of joy and satisfaction.

Level: Tier one, six-star martial artist (195/3000)

He felt like he had just taken a bath and instantly became a tier one, six-star martial artist; could there be anything more satisfying than that? He flashed a goofy grin toward the other three.

Fury Points +111

Fang Hao saw Xiang Ning’s smile and his heart bled. 1.5 million dollars gone… just like that.
