Xiang Ning felt refreshed walking out of the recovery capsule. The pain from his injuries entirely gone, he turned and looked at the recovery capsule, marveling at the technology birthed by the ingenuity of science.

Wang Zhe rushed forward and examined Xiang Ning. “Thank god you’re alright! Anywhere else in pain? Any discomfort?”

“No, I’m feeling much better.” Xiang Ning smiled. He felt ecstatic when he became a tier one, six-star martial artist. If it weren’t for Fatty Wang, he would still be racking his brains over how to increase his cultivation today.

He turned to the Fang siblings and felt that they were much more friendly now. While he had never used such a high-end capsule before, he knew that the cost to use one would be astronomical. He happily walked over and expressed his sincerest gratitude, saying, “Thank you!”

Fang Rou, who was suspicious, asked him, “Are you sure you aren’t the descendant of some legendary person who’s trying to experience a commoner’s life?” She really couldn’t explain how a part-time student would have such capabilities, as they were people with very low cultivations that required to work to obtain cultivation resources. She had never even imagined that she would ever think a part-time student would be capable of defeating a tier three martial artist, even if said tier three martial artist was only using 20% of their power. She felt lightheaded thinking about it and started doubting whether her years of hard work were wasted when she couldn’t even win against a part-time student.

Xiang Ning thought for a while, then said, “Regarding the previous matter, I apologize, and I hope you can forgive me too.”

Fang Rou pouted when she heard his apology. “Hmph! I’m to blame this time, too. I apologize on behalf of my brother. Now we’re even.”

Fang Hao, who was listening to them, asked in confusion, “Didn’t you just beat my sister in a fair fight? I don’t think it warrants an apology.” While it was true that Xiang Ning had used up his entire life’s savings, he also got to meet someone with untapped potential. How often did a tier one martial artist win against a tier three martial artist? Even though Fang Hao was handicapped, it was no easy feat for Xiang Ning to have won against him.

“Oh no, it was because I accidentally groped—mmph!”

Xiang Ning hadn’t even finished his words when Fang Rou covered his mouth. Fang Hao and Wang Zhe saw her furiously blushing.

“Stupid! Bastard! Don’t you dare!” Fang Rou stomped her feet and ran away.

Xiang Ning stood there, stunned. His gaze met Fatty Wang’s, who was filled with reverence and gave him a thumbs-up. On the other side, Fang Hao threw any thoughts of the 1.5 million out of his mind and just stared at where his sister ran off to.

“WHAT THE FUCK WHERE DID YOU TOUCH MY SISTER?!” Fang Hao shouted in rage.

Xiang Ning sheepishly answered, “Well…I thought you knew.”

“I knew jack shit!” Fang Hao wanted to pin Xiang Ning and pummel him so hard. No wonder Xiang Ning had apologized first when he went looking for trouble. He resisted the urge to throw Xiang Ning out of the twenty-ninth-floor window and rushed to find his sister.

The room was left with only Xiang Ning and Wang Zhe.

Wang Zhe patted Xiang Ning’s shoulder. “Wow. Where’d you even grope her?”

“Let’s not talk about it anymore. We should probably head back to the second floor and not let my sister find out about this,” Xiang Ning said, rubbing his nose in embarrassment. He thought Fang Hao had known all along.

When they got into the elevator, Wang Zhe asked, “To be honest I’m really jealous of you. Do you know how much the recovery fluid costs?”

Xiang Ning curiously asked, “How much?”

“Five hundred thousand dollars per drop!”

“What?!” Xiang Ning was too stunned to speak in full sentences.

Wang Zhe reassured him, “Don’t worry, they won’t ask you to pay for it.”

“No, I was planning to ask them if they had more of them. Guess that isn’t happening anytime soon.” Xiang Ning sighed.

Now it was Wang Zhe’s turn to be speechless.

Back on the second floor, Xiang Ning managed to slightly understand the condition of his body after training in the heavy gravity room for an hour with Wang Zhe. As a tier one, six-star martial artist, his speed and power was slightly above that of an initial tier one martial artist, but the difference wasn’t too large. The biggest improvement was in his finer motor movements.

Another half hour passed before Xiang Xiaoyu came down from the fifth floor with the beautiful lady, who was also a tier two martial artist.

Xiang Ning approached the lady and thanked her. “Thank you for taking care of my sister.”

“No problem, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going.” She flashed a sweet smile.

Xiang Ning nodded and Xiaoyu waved a fond farewell to the lady. ”Goodbye, Miss Qi.”

Miss Qi politely returned the wave.

“Let’s go have lunch. My treat.”

……

It was already one o’clock when the siblings got home. Xiang Xiaoyu was tired after playing with Miss Qi for the entire morning, so she went to take a nap.

Xiang Ning, however, took his tools and backpack, then left the house in a hurry. Within minutes he returned to the abandoned mine.

No one was around, since it was lunchtime, so he rushed into the mineshaft that he had found before and removed the debris around it, revealing the eerie cave.

Xiang Ning carefully stepped into the cave and started exploring. Having increased his cultivation to be a tier one, six-star martial artist, he had a bit of confidence in exploring it.

For twenty minutes Xiang Ning continued to walk and explore the cave. He hadn’t encountered any dangers so far, but he’d already collected a lot of spirit stones. He found so many that he even threw out the spirit stone shards he had found near the entrance of the cave to make room in his backpack and sighed in disappointment as he looked at the spirit stones that he could no longer bring with him.

Just as he got ready to continue exploring, a soft squeak echoed from the depths of the cave. Xiang Ning squinted his eyes and shone his flashlight toward the darkness, revealing a dog-sized rat.

To be more specific, it was a Beast Soldier-ranked Savage Sand Rat.
