The entire battlefield was chaotic. Helos had returned to the side of the little girl as black mist continued rolling off its body. Its eyes darted across the battlefield and scanned for danger. On one side were the Seven Deadly Sins, and on the other was the Shura Tribe. He felt stuck.

The little girl endured the pain and terror as she tried calming the beast down by patting its belly. Helos let out a woeful wail as it stared at the little girl’s wounded leg. Its eyes filled with pain and regret even though its expression was hard to read.

“To think that… it had a high intellect.” Xiang Ning took note.

“Wait, since the girl is also from the Shura Tribe, why would she be afraid of her own people? And why is she so close to Helos? This is too strange.”

“What should we do?” Gu Kun was at a loss.

Now that they had allied themselves with the Hydrangea Clan, Lan Quan turned to Xiang Ning. “The little girl isn’t as simple as you think. While she might not be precious to us, it seems that both the Seven Deadly Sins and the Shura Tribe want her. Even the special-type beast is protecting her. We can’t let either side have her!”

Everyone nodded. It must not happen!

“But then we’d become everyone’s target!” Yu Qian voiced her worries.

“Hmph! Then we would need to see what that big bastard thinks.” Lan Quan smiled as he looked toward Helos. It was about time for some action.

“Lord Vulture, what should we do?” Originally the Seven Deadly Sins had ten men, but now they were down to seven. Three of them had perished.

Vulture did not reply. He was completely focused on the emerging battleship. “Kikiki. Looks like they arrived just in time.”

“Ignore the little girl, we’ll—” Before he could even finish his sentence, numerous red lights shot out from the deck of the battleship.

“Lord… Lord Vulture!” The cultists by his side were trembling. One of the red lights was aimed directly at Lord Vulture’s head.

Xiang Ning and the rest had red dots all over their bodies, too.

“Fuck! Take cover!” Lan Quan reacted the moment he saw the lights. The battleship was about to bombard them!

An energy shield sprang up as the rest of them dove for cover. The people that Lan Quan led also leaped into action and raised energy shields.

Boom!

It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from bit.ly/3iBfjkV.

Hellfire rained down on everyone the next moment. Xiang Ning saw the explosions being blocked by the energy shield and felt chills down his spine. If it weren’t for Lan Quan and the rest, everyone would have been dead!

On the other side, the cultists relied on their strong physical bodies to block and dodge the bombardment. Lord Vulture was shot to kingdom come, but suffered minimal wounds. No one had died.

After the shelling stopped, a corridor opened in the side of the battleship and one of the Shuras stepped down. He was two and a half meters tall. Both of his hands were holding a double-bladed axe as he scanned the battlefield with his maroon eyes. It was very clear that he was only humanoid, at best. Behind him were thirty similar humanoids that held rifles with bayonets attached. The pressure they exuded let everyone know that they wouldn’t be easy to deal with.

The shelling had destroyed all of the trees near the area. The area was now devoid of any kind of shelter and had been turned into a flat, open ground peppered with craters.

The Shura Tribe immediately locked gazes with the three forces on the ground.

Similarly, everyone’s attention was on the Shura Tribe thanks to the bombardment. Originally, the Seven Deadly Sins wanted to capture the little girl. But they had now laid eyes on an adult Shura. Why would they want a weak little girl? It was much better to capture the adults, as they would have stronger genes.

Helos, on the other hand, had been completely ignored. Ever since the little girl had been hurt, it hadn’t left her side. Even if the enemies were right in front of it, it had no thought of charging into the fray.

Gu Kun and the rest were turning serious, especially Lan Quan. As someone from Azura, he naturally knew how strong the Shura Tribe was. He had thought that they would only be there to collect data and didn’t anticipate that a fight would break out and escalate to this stage.

But someone else was thinking differently.…

“Ho! We finally meet! Now, this is proper training!” Chu Long unsheathed his meteorite sword. He had a feeling that, as long as he survived today, he would be able to break through into tier five tomorrow.

Long Xiaoqi stood up and inspected her device, too. “I’m ready too!”

She was cute, even though she was slightly annoying. But currently, mud and blood caked her entire body. Instead of a little girl, she was now a bonafide warrior.

Yu Qian and Gu Kun naturally took their positions as well.

Bam! An energy bullet whizzed past Lan Quan’s ear. It was the Shura Tribe! The one responsible for shooting was chuckling. It was clear that he was underestimating them.

“He’s dead. Does he really think Lan Quan is weak?” Just as the people from the Hydrangea Clan thought that Lan Quan would go berserk, another gunshot rang out from beside them.

This time it was Yu Qian.

Following the sound of the gunshot was the splattering sound of blood and brains being blown away.

“Looks like I’m still the better sniper here.” Yu Qian chuckled as cocked another round. The people from the Hydrangea Clan whistled at her as they taunted Lan Quan, “Wow, Lan Quan. Since when did you need a girl to cover for you?”

“Kill them all!” Lan Quan’s face was feral as he spat those words like a beast. One of his team members was left behind to snipe as the rest of them ran forward.

Gu Kun and Xiang Ning were shocked to see how jarring the change in Lan Quan’s persona was. He always seemed calm and collected, but right now he looked like a berserker on the battlefield. They snapped back to reality and ran forward; they didn’t want to be left behind.

Lord Vulture saw what was happening and shouted, “Shit! Don’t let them take those Shuras away! We need at least one of them!” In their eyes, the Shura Tribe was like cattle for them to strengthen themselves. If they were completely rational, they would have noticed that no one was competing with them to capture the Shura Tribe.

Unfortunately, their cognitive functions weren’t completely functioning due to their transformations. That was how all three forces rushed to the Shura Tribe and their battleship.

Looking at the Shura that had been shot dead, the one standing in the forefront chuckled as he licked the blood splattered on his face. He raised his battle axe and roared.
