Chapter 84 Crescent Armor

Xiang Ning was exasperated, but didn’t take their games to heart. One team member helping him and Fang Rou was enough. Wasn’t this his chance to raise his team’s ranking on the leaderboards? Instead, he focused on the threat before him. Before this, he would be afraid of the tier two beast, but now, with his tier one, nine-star body and tier one, seven-star mental power, he was confident he could kill it.

“What’re you staring at? Come help!” roared the team member who stepped up to help Xiang Ning. He was now heavily surrounded by three beasts. He turned around and saw that the rest of the team members were still staring at him.

All of them pretended not to hear him and slowly backed away. With Xiang Ning and Fang Rou’s sudden appearance distracting the beasts, this was their chance to run.

“Mo Longtang, hold on! We’ll come back for you once we send Zhao En out!” They no longer cared.

The girl holding Zhao En, the injured patient, was in disbelief at what she heard.

“Xiao Ting, let’s go! What are you doing?!” The other student warned in a low voice, “Now’s the time to run—that’s a tier two beast. We will be eaten if we don’t! Now that they’re here to help, it’s the best time for us to go!”

Xiao Ting looked at Zhao En, who had his eyes closed. He didn’t speak, although he had been saved by Mo Longtang. Without Mo Longtang, he would have lost not just an arm, but his very life.

She clenched her teeth, looked at Mo Longtang, then steeled herself and left. In the face of mortal danger, such a decision was understandable.

Mo Longtang was enraged when he saw them leave. The momentary distraction let a beast slash him across the chest, causing blood to gush out.

“Fuck! I’ll kill you all!” roared Mo Longtang, his tier one, six-star body stressed to the maximum. He expertly waved his spear like a snake; it was unbelievable that he could hold his own in the face of three beasts!

Fang Rou had seen it all, then realized how lucky she was. Mo Longtang had been abandoned by his teammates, while Xiang Ning had helped her get rid of the annoying mosquitos without involving her at all because he was worried for her. Despite the fact that it was infuriating. However, she focused her mind on the beasts ahead. She was now fighting four beasts. Usually, she would never dare to imagine a scene like this, but now she had no choice than to fight for her life.

White dots twinkled on her body, materializing into a set of skin-tight, top-tier Crescent Mk. 1 Armor. Her curvy figure was highlighted by the beautiful armor, so much so that she looked like a mythical figure herself.

The beasts glared at her, sensing the power radiating off her.

Fang Rou focused her mental power. Rays of light shot from her chest to her four limbs, a layer of membrane flashing, then disappearing.

Whoosh!

She waved her sword in the air, dancing between the beasts like a white elf, every move as graceful as ever, though radiating a dangerous aura beneath.

“Leaping Slash.” She nimbly stepped on a Boulder Boar’s head, then shot herself toward another beast. Under the impact of her armor, the Boulder Boar’s skin exploded until the bone underneath could be seen.

Xiang Ning heaved a small sigh of relief; he had been worried about Fang Rou. Since she had already pulled out her last trick, he must kill this Shadowblood Hound now!

“Keen Observation!”

After a few exchanges, he activated Keen Observation. Since they were close in terms of strength, a surge of data flooded into his mind. He was in luck!

“Triple Slash!” He covered fifty meters to appear before it in one second. He smirked, then exploded with enough power to split a mountain.

“Mountain-Splitting Slash!”

The Shadowblood Hound was terrified of the aura released by a Mountain-Splitting Slash unleashed at Peak Mastery level. However, it still dodged. It was confident in its defenses, swatting its claws at Xiang Ning, who would either die or be incapacitated if the attack struck him.

All the students who ran sighed in fake pity. “We’re no match for that tier two beast, let’s not watch. We must go.”

Just as they were about to leave, two blades flew through the air and stabbed into each of the hound’s eyes. With the reflexes of a tier two beast, the hound shut its eyes and turned its head. It successfully dodged one, but the second blade lodged itself in its eye.

The hound descended into madness as pain engulfed its head, stomping its claws as if to beat Xiang Ning to pulp. Its paw was exactly what Xiang Ning then targeted. His class two iridium sword was hard enough to kill a tier three beast, so why would it not cut through a tier two beast?

Upon impact, Xiang Ning fell a few steps back but the paw was cut cleanly in half. Bits of flesh and bone hung from the wound. Initially, beads of blood fell, but it soon gushed like an angry river.

“Roar!!” The Shadowblood Hound was blinded by rage, not expecting such trickery. The last of its bloodthirsty rage was unleashed. Every single strand of its blood-colored fur stood, its opened jaws showing each of its sharp teeth. It looked as terrifying as ever, even with its right eye blinded.
