He was afraid that Empress Xin would feel uncomfortable if she saw Zhan Lue serve him.

Or you can send people over to collect it.”

“Okay.” Zhan Lue took the pastries gladly and said, “Thank you, Mother.”

Xian Sheng was confused about what the box contained. Zhan Lue’s gaze suddenly scanned past Zhan Yin. Pausing slightly, he said, “I think that Mother can bake some for A-Jin too.”

Zhan Jin, “?”

Zhan Yin was extremely curious as well. “What’s that?”

Empress Xin said, “I have thought about that too. I left some for her. Alright, return quickly. It looks like it’s going to snow again tonight.”

As Xian Sheng and Zhan Lue walked out of the door, the snowflakes started to flutter down. He had just boarded the carriage and sat down, when Zhan Lue suddenly dove in, shocking him. “We are still in the palace, you…”

“No one saw.” Zhan Lue threatened him, “Don’t tell anyone. This is a crime punishable by death.”

“…!” Xian Sheng glared at him. Although Emperor Jin allowed Xian Sheng to travel by carriage in his palace, he did not extend the permission to anyone else. It was fine if he did not investigate—but if he did, both of them would not be spared.

He felt uneasy. If he got caught by Emperor Jin, he would be charged with the crime of arrogant ingratitude. He only let out a sigh of relief after they left the palace. He chastised Zhan Lue, “You really have guts.”

Zhan Lue chuckled. He took out a piece of pastry and passed it over, saying, “Take a bite. Don’t be so angry.”

With his mouth stuffed with a pastry, Xian Sheng subconsciously started to chew. He realized that this pastry was extremely fragrant with a crisp texture. Even if he had just finished dinner, he could still eat a few pieces in one go. He asked, “What’s this?”

“This is…” Zhan Lue hugged him and placed him onto his lap. Tilting Xian Sheng’s chin up, he said flirtatiously, “The Wife-controlling pastry. After eating this, you’ll be obedient and when the night falls, I can manipulate you however I want—and you will obey.”

Xian Sheng frowned and stopped eating. Obviously, he did not believe that Zhan Lue possessed such a magical object. However, upon hearing what he said, Xian Sheng suddenly became worried. What if Zhan Lue could no longer endure it and drug him in the future?

“You… You promised that you won’t bully me.”

When Xian Sheng bit his lip, Zhan Lue could no longer restrain himself. He tightened his embrace around him and kissed his face. He said, “I’m lying to you. Did you really believe me?”

Xian Sheng pursed his lips and asked again, “Then, what is it?”

Zhan Lue’s gaze fell upon his chest and said, I’ll tell you when you are bigger.”

Xian Sheng was confused. “What’s considered big?”

Zhan Lue answered, “At least till I can grab it.”
