Fury Towards The Burning Heaven

Chapter 213 - Soul Seals as Tributes

Panda Novel

Lady Piaopiao!

When Jiang Yi heard this name, his body shuddered while his mind was astonished and bewildered. Lady Piaopiao was obviously referring to Yi Piaopiao—his mother.

How did Shui Youlan know his mother? It seemed like they were rather familiar with each other?

Most importantly, Shui Youlan even addressed his mother with honorifics? Would an absolute martial expert address an ordinary woman as Lady? Even Zhuge Qingyun, who was also part of the top ten martial experts of the continent, addressed his mother with honorifics, too. This was something that amazed Jiang Yi.

According to Qian Wanguan, Yi Piaopiao appeared on this continent more than ten years ago and followed Jiang Bieli back to Jiang Yi City. She stayed at the liege lord’s residence for two years before venturing the world while pregnant, passing away three years later after giving birth to Jiang Yi.

Deducing from the information he had, Yi Piaopiao had only been on this continent for around five to six years; and when she passed away, she was only twenty odd years of age. During that period of time, Zhuge Qingyun must be at least 50 or 60 years old, right? He should already be a famed martial expert of this continent. Jiang Yi might not be clear about Shui Youlan’s background and wasn’t certain about her age either; to be the no.1 martial expert on the continent, she must already be formidable twenty years ago.

If two martial experts treated Yi Piaopiao with such respect, then she must be someone incredible; and it wasn’t just because of Jiang Bieli that garnered their respect. When the two of them spoke to Jiang Yi about his mother, they didn’t even mention Jiang Bieli.

“What kind of individual was my mother exactly?”

Jiang Yi murmured with some suspicion and knew that if he wanted to know the exact details, he would have to look for Jiang Yunhai. When he thought about Jiang Yunhai, his eyes became gloomy again. After such a long time without any news of him, Jiang Yi was afraid Jiang Yunhai might already be dead in the Forest of Sin.

“Hurhur!”

As Jiang Yi was murmuring to himself, Shui Qianrou was dissatisfied that Jiang Yi was still grabbing her neck as she snorted. “Jiang Yi. My mother already agreed to your terms, why aren’t you letting this Young Lady go?!”

“Bang!”

Jiang Yi came back to his senses and knocked ruthlessly on the back of Shui Qianrou’s head, causing her to faint immediately. Jiang Yi threw her over to the Water Moon Observatory’s maidens and spoke coldly, “Give her some medicine that would make her sleep for a period of time. I don’t want to hear her voice before the Kingdom War ends, or else I will hit her every time she speaks.”

“Eh…”

The maidens from the Water Moon Observatory let out an agitated expression but could do nothing but keep their mouths shut. Shui Youlan had already given the order for them to listen to Jiang Yi’s instructions. One of the ladies took out an elixir and fed it to Shui Qianrou; otherwise, when this esteemed young lady makes a commotion, she would have to suffer again.

Another one of the maidens quickly picked up Shui Qianrou’s World-Extinguishing Silver Necklace and kept it prudently while glancing at Jiang Yi, seemingly afraid that he would snatch this saint artifact.

It seemed like her worry was unnecessary. Jiang Yi didn’t even look at her as he turned to speak with Zhan Wushuang, “Wushuang! Do it!”

Zhan Wushuang nodded as killing aura burst from his body. The Ghost Woods had a few thousand individuals, and the two of them were prepared to slaughter all of them. These two individuals treated their enemies with ruthlessness, and even if they had gone mad, they would not be merciful.

“Wait!”

Yun Fei suddenly spoke, “Jiang Yi, can you not kill Huo Shu, Gu Te, and the others? I have my use for them. This group of young masters is from great aristocratic clans of the Heaven Mystics Kingdom. With their support, my younger brother might have a higher chance to ascend to the Crown Prince position.”

“Not killing?”

Jiang Yi hesitated. It wasn’t a problem of not killing them since their medals were all going to him. Yun Fei wanted to use these people… meaning he had to rescue them from the illusion first. The problem was—after rescuing them… would they yield to Yun Fei?

Yun Fei could see Jiang Yi’s doubts as she laughed subtly and explained: “You don’t have to worry, Jiang Yi. If they want to live, they have to submit their Soul Seal! I can handle such things.”

Jiang Yi nodded, and after knowing that Yun Fei only wanted Ming Hui, Gu Te, Huo Shu, and the other surviving Soul Travel Realm experts, he couldn’t be bother to do it personally and ordered the people from the Water Moon Observatory instead, “Except the Soul Travel Realm experts, kill everyone else and gather the medals for me.”

“Swish!”

The Water Moon Observatory’s members didn’t dare to disobey Jiang Yi’s orders. More than forty members split into two groups and began the slaughter.

The others in the Ghost Woods were still immersed in the soul spirit illusion while those weaker martial artists already began to go insane, screaming frantically in the woods. Even if they weren’t killed, they would ultimately die from the insanity; hence, these maidens from the Water Moon Observatory didn’t have any mercy when they made their killings.

One hour later, several thousands of Purple Mansion Realm martial artists dropped their heads; and this forest had truly become the Ghost Woods, leaving only more than twenty Soul Travel Realm experts who were brought over.

“Let’s begin!”

Jiang Yi glanced at Yun Fei. While his Fire Spirit Pearl lit up, channeling the last wisp of Earth Fire out. The Fire Spirit Pearl began to protect the owner as it absorbed the Earth Fire immediately. It was rather fortunate for this last wisp of Earth Fire; otherwise, Jiang Yi had to bear the waste of his Fire Spirit Rocks.

Jiang Yi controlled that mysterious energy and patted on the head of that young master who had curly hair and earring. When he awakened, Jiang Yi vigorously slammed his leg on the young master’s shoulder, pressing him down while placing the Black Scale Sword on his neck and spoke coldly, “Two choices. Offer your Soul Seal to your Princess or die!”

Gu Te’s eyes were flickering as he saw the corpses all around and at Ming Hui, Huo Shu, and the others who had been captured by the Water Moon Observatory people. He didn’t know what was happening, but he knew he only had those two choices to pick.

As a young master of an aristocratic clan, he quickly looked at Yun Fei and spoke, “Your Highness. I can tribute my Soul Seal, but after His Highness, Yun Xian, ascends, you must return the Soul Seal to me; otherwise, I will rather die.”

Yun Fei nodded. “It shall be done!”

Revealing a bitter smile and closing his eyes, he had a golden light radiate from the tianling acupoint 1 , forming a golden small seal.

This is a real Soul Seal. That Soul Travel Realm expert did mention that Soul Seals are gold in color.

Jiang Yi nodded to himself. Of course, the only one that didn’t know this was him. People like Yun Fei would naturally be able to differentiate the authenticity with a single glance—as most of the Heaven Mystics Kingdom’s martial artists knew the Soul Seal secret art. Yun Fei reached out and grasped with her palm while that Soul Seal vanished.

“Next!”

Jiang Yi withdrew his leg and Black Scale Sword and walked over to Huo Shu. Similarly, he controlled the mysterious energy in his palm and awoken this individual. When Jiang Yi saw that this person instinctively wanted to struggle, he slapped Huo Shu with the side of his Black Scale Sword, sending Huo Shu’s head to the ground. Jiang Yi then pressured him with the Black Scale Sword and spoke coldly, “Gu Tu has already given his Soul Seal to Yun Fei as tribute. You know what to do, right?”

Huo Shu glanced at Gu Te and saw his gloomy face and quickly realized it, too. He was rather straightforward as he closed his eyes, formed the Soul Seal, and handed it over to Yun Fei. “I willingly serve Your Highness.”

“Third one! Ming Hui?”

Jiang Yi walked over to a stalwart and fierce-looking male while circulating the energy to awake him. Ming Hui’s eyes turned around. As he saw Gu Te and Huo Shu, he revealed a cold intent in his mouth as he closed his eyes and spoke, “Want me to tribute my Soul Seal? Dream on! Just kill me.”

“Then send him on his way!” Yun Fei’s eyes turned cold as she spoke indifferently.

Jiang Yi didn’t want to waste his saliva speaking nonsense as well. Jiang Yi’s Black Scale Sword flashed. Just as it was about to behead Ming Hui, he suddenly opened his eyes as he gritted his teeth and yelled out, “Wait a moment!”

Jiang Yi’s longsword didn’t pause for a single second as it slid across Ming Hui’s neck, causing his huge head to fly off. Jiang Yi sheathed his longsword and mocked Ming Hui’s dead eyes that had unfinished grievances. “You rejected the chance that was given to you. I hate cowards like you who acts like a tough man.”

The rest of the matters became easier. Once the remaining Soul Travel Realm experts came back to their senses to see Gu Te and Huo Shu submitting and Ming Hui’s corpse which was parted into two, no one dared to utter any nonsense and immediately gave their Soul Seals to Yun Fei as tributes.
