Even if I revive, Did you think that you have won by a ratio of 16:3?” (Fei)  [TL note: Titan 16; Human 3]

“But unfortunately, it’s the opposite.” (Fei)

“The condition of victory is actually met by us; ISN’T IT RIGHT —GOD!” (Fei)

[TL note: the uppercase here signifies speaking in large voice to address the huge figure of Titan God.]

“HMM!?”

“Now, its time to discuss answers. The rule that was kept hidden till the very end of this game God-Pretend is…” (Fei)

Pointing underneath the eyes of the God Titan…

“Reversi (Othello) right ~” (Fei)

God-Pretend……

[TL note: Kami-Gokko; similar to Oni-Gokka, well known as Tag]

From the name itself, people are psychologically allowed to think of the game is similar to Tag, a trap encased from the very name of the game.

We were also under the illusion that it was necessary to play hide and seek to avoid detection.

But the essence of the game lied somewhere else.

“The God was chasing, while the humans, fleeing. When humans get converted over to the God’s side, other humans try and rescue them. But this was then similar to a game using hands… where God’s moves first and then Humans next.” (Fei)

『――――』

“And the upper body of the human under God, changing into God’s color, quite similar to half of the piece when turned over, changing to another color; the biggest give away.” (Fei)

 (1) The turn system of the first move and the second move.

 (2) When a piece is turned over to the enemy side, only one side changes to the enemy’s color.

At this point, we can indefinitely tell:

It is a game called Reversi, another name for Othello.

“In other words, the first move is by the Black, while the next is by white. The side with greater numbers of pieces at the end of the game would win. And on top of that—” (Fei)

“The ‘board’ of this game is this whole city right?” (Fei)

The Giant God looks down upon the ground.

And with that, Fei looks over to the place where, a God, a Former God, the girl with fiery flame-like hair stood with her hairs fluttering.

“Your Terminal-Spirit is an excellent employee ne~.  I never thought it’s rule expiations could become a hint to find out the true nature of this game.” (Reche)

“This~ :- ‘The field is made to have four corners’ “ (Reche)

The structure of the city was another hint too.

The steel pillars being lined up vertically and horizontally at equal intervals.

Just as similar to the square field of a game board. A huge game board.

That was why the God Titan chose this city especially.

Thus, congregating my words, the end of this game, Reversi is by filling up the whole board by pieces, with not a single place remaining to put pieces.

Coming to the conclusion, ‘we cannot play anymore than this’.

Thus, in terms of God-Pretend… when the whole city buildings destroyed, ‘we cannot play anymore than this’.

“Thus, bringing us to the completion of this game. Game Over. Then, the last thing would be counting of the pieces, Black or White, with which the results would be declared, right?.” (Fei)

“……Haa~n ……Haaaaa~… Mo~ Fei you really… you really… ARE OVERUSING YOUR SENIORS!” (?)

Was Asta being out of breath due to over-running, revolting against the ways of Fei.

But…

Even if she were included, White has only 3 pieces. When compared to Black’s (Titan’s) 16 pieces, they are far outnumbered. It was a desperate attempt.

Until just before the game ended.
—–

But——-

“There is a way we could win. The one ray of light that could turn around the game completely. Since, it’s Reversi, a chain reaction follows.” (Fei)

The white which puts forth its piece in black’s den instantly makes a lot of black turn back to white.

A common knowledge which allows a huge comeback in the game of Reversi possible.

And regarding this God-Pretend too, this very rule was also present.

Though very cleverly hidden.

“~Eh…… EHHHHHH~~……!” (Apostles)

“Why are we?! Why are we reverted to being untouched!?” (Apostles)

Just like when Asta, and then Vice-Captain got converted by God Titan.

The verdict came that even the two apostles near the Vice-Captain were also caught by God, as if it were a curse, passed onto them.

At that time, it seemed to them that the rule states that nearby apostles, or contacted apostles also get judged as contacted.

But, through Reversi, this can be easily explained.

“At that time didn’t Asta use a spell of wind which caused those three apostles, the Vice-Captain and his three associate apostles slam to the outer wall of the buildings?” (Reche)

“That was most probably not to restrain their movements. But to put them in a single line in between Asta and God..” (Reche)

Yes,

And it was just by chance, in front of that building.

Just imagine, a board where the pieces are arranged in such a way…

Black (Titan), White, White, White, Black (Asta). The arrangement of pieces with respect to the board, when Vice-Captain and the two apostles were caught.

Thus, even the aide-apostles of the Vice-Captain, who were caught in the string of events, got turned over to the God’s side with the vice-captain.

“I used the exact same tactic in the sidelines, using Fei to attract the attention of the God Titan.” (Reche)

Pon~

Reche puts her hand on top of Asta’s shoulders.

“At that time, the reason I jumped out of that department building was actually to head towards the building where this human was hiding.” (Reche)

“Let’s split up. It would be okay right, to split up the apostles’ downstairs equally towards each each other?” (Reche)

“Yep, exactly a half towards each other.” (Fei)

The number of apostles chasing Reche, were seven.

They did not even know… That Reche was not actually running away. But running towards Asta, to join her, who was in hiding.

For a perfect surprise hit.

Towards the seven apostles who were chasing Reche, Asta activates her wind spell. Thus, causing them to slam towards the outer walls of the building, Forcing them to line up in a row.

(In the same standing position, as before,)

White (Asta), Black Black, Black Black, Black Black, Black, White (Reche).

Then all you have to do is touch one black piece.

And thus, the seven peoples sandwiched in between Asta and Reche. All converted back to white in a chain reaction.

“Thus I, believing in them, trusting them, did my best to contain you, God, over here.” (Fei)

Thus, now white were 9 in number: (Reche and the Eight apostles including Asta).

And at the very end, Fei returning back to white through self-revival decided the victory in favour of the white.

Thus,

White 10: (Reche and Nine apostles including Fei and Asta).

Whereas,

Black 9: (God Titan and Eight apostles).

“Thus, our victory. Any arguments?”

………… None…

A clumsy declaration of defeat by a God who should not speak any human language. A defeat declaration, given only to Fei alone, secretly.

As Fei fell from the sky toward the ground, he was received in the palm of the Divine Titan who then slowly lowered him next to Reche.

And when Fei turned around…

The figure of the Giant God Titan was nowhere to be found, nowhere in the ‘Playground of Gods’.

Ahhh, I have played my fill.

I am completely satisfied,

As if it were saying.

VS

“The Wise God of the Earth”

“Titan.”

Hidden Rule 1:

Those who become incapacitated by God’s attack will be converted to its side.

Hidden Rule 2:

You can return to the human side by contacting Titan’s subordinates just as in the game of Reversi.
