Gods' Impact Online

387 Chapter 386- Unlimited and Infinite

After exiting Aria's domain, Zach made his way to the secret location by riding on Cerberus.

[My liege, are you sure this is the place?] Cerberus asked curiously.

"Yeah. All the secret spots on the map have been marked, and this is the only place which is not marked."

[But I don't see anything here. It's a cliff.]

"Not on the map. I have to find a way to reveal… hmm…" Zach pondered for a few seconds and said, "Cerberus, you can fly, right?"

[I Have wings, so yes.]

"Can you fly with me on top of you?"

[As long as you don't fall.]

"Then start flying," Zach ordered.

[To where?]

"Just fly forward. I will let you know."

FLAP~ FLAP!

Cerberus flew forward and kept flying.

"You can go faster."

[Okay.]

A few seconds after Cerberus picked up speed, Zach fell down.

[My Liege!]

"Calm down! I jumped on purpose."

Zach kept falling, but he eventually stopped mid-air for some reason.

"So I was correct. This place is invisible…"

Now that Zach had revealed the location, it was marked on his map and became visible.

DING!

[New location discovered- Kyle's Den!]

It was a palace, and Zach was standing on top of it. He jumped down and stood in front of the massive gate.

"Talk about intimidating…" he muttered.

Cerberus landed beside Zach and said, [You should inform you beforehand if you were going to do something like this.

"I wasn't sure if it would work. And I am sure this camouflage wasn't easy to break either. If you had touched it, it wouldn't have become visible. The requirement was a level 100 player, so I had to try it," Zach calmly explained.

[Shall we go now and defeat the boss?] Cerberus asked excitedly, [No one is worthy enough to be a boss other than me in my peak form!]

"You stay here."

[Wha—! My liege, this is not fair!]

SIGH!

"All of you, come out of my shadow," Zach uttered with an expressionless face.

All the demons came out of Zach's shadow and knelt before him.

"I want all of you— including Cerberus— to stay here. I will be right back," he said in a neutral tone.

[This is stupidity, my liege. Why would you fight alone when you have an army?] Cerberus asked with a hint of confusion in his voice.

"I don't need an army to fight, not right now. I alone am enough. And besides, the enemy is also alone," he stated.

Cerberus glanced at the rank five demons and said, [Are you okay with this, you fools?! Stop him!]

[We cannot dare to speak against my liege,] Urluk responded.

[You are making me look like a rebel here!] Cerberus yelled.

"Cerberus, calm down. Let me do this alone."

After saying that, Zach jumped off the massive game instead of opening or breaking it. He slowly made his way to the palace's door.

However, instead of knocking on it, he kicked it open and walked inside. He expected to encounter weak monsters first, but much to his surprise, the palace was empty, quite literally.

It didn't look the same from the inside as it looked from the outside.

"There are no rooms…" he muttered as he glanced around. "Only stairs and hallways leading nowhere."

Zach climbed the stairs and kept walking.

"This better not be some annoying puzzle because I am in no mood to solve them."

After climbing the stairs for a few minutes and walking through the hallways, Zach realized it was as he had expected.

SIGH!

'There is nothing else but stairs and hallways here, so I don't think I am supposed to do something else. I have no other choice but to solve these stupid puzzles.'

"Hmmm~" Zach inspected everything and muttered, "The stairs don't lead anywhere, but where is its end?"

Instead of climbing, Zach flew over the hallways and reached the top.

"What now?" He walked to the other side of the hallway and noticed the stairs that were leading down, but they were different stairs, not the ones he had climbed earlier.

'This wasn't visible earlier. Could it be that solving the mystery of this unlimited staircase and infinite hallways is something far simpler can one can imagine? What if the solution was to fall for this trick and watch it unfold?'

Zach jumped down the stairs and reached the very bottom, but the place had changed completely. The stairs and hallways were no longer there, and he found himself in an actual interior of a palace.

"What the fuck? Is this some kind of illusion palace? I came here well prepared to fight even a god, but this place is fucking my mind with puzzles. Whoever is behind this is going to get beaten by me before I kill them," he uttered with a furious look on his face and made his way further into the palace.

'This is the type of challenge that no one can easily complete. And come to think of it, I am trapped in this place, aren't I? The exit is nowhere to be seen, so I guess I will keep walking?'

Zach tried to open the portal to Aria's domain, but it didn't work.

"Interesting~" After walking through various hallways and passing dozens of rooms, Zach reached the last hallway.

Zach raised his brow and wondered, "Is that a door?"

When Zach was halfway through the hallway, he realized it was a throne room door.

"Let's hope the boss is in there," he sighed.

Zach ran the rest of the way to warm up his body to fight. However, his excitement vanished when the door didn't open.

"Great."

The door was similar to the door in the hidden dungeon where Zach had fought Cerberus for the first time.

'There should be a puzzle or something on the door that I need to solve.'

Zach inspected the door carefully to catch any words or inscriptions of any languages, but he couldn't find out.

"Figured. Ain't no way it was going to be this easy."

'Wait…' Zach touched the door and wondered, 'What if it's the same chant as the one with Ceberus'? But what was that? It's been so long that I can't recall it correctly.'
