Chapter 3: Meeting The Villian (3)

But who was she? She was Huo Xiaoxiao, 18 years ahead of her peers at the starting line.

She had to learn to crawl first of all, speak after a month, and start walking after 100 days. At the age of one, she must understand the first 5,000-year-old Chinese character. At the age of two, she must be proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. At the age of three, she’d skip kindergarten, go to junior high at eight, high school at ten, and Tsinghua Peking University at 13. She would hit the pinnacle of life!

Huo Xiaoxiao planned her future clearly.

The more she dreamed, the more energetic she felt.

Struggling to the left with her right hand and foot, she reached for the edge of the crib, trying to pry herself over. However, the right hand only dangled in the air as her foreleg trembled. She had short arms and legs, and her strength was not enough. As a result, she failed to turn her body over and lay back sulkily.

“…”

Everything’s difficult at the beginning, really difficult!

Even though the soul was 18 years old, it still couldn’t carry this newborn body.

Forget it. This is only the first day. I’ll just adapt to this body, keep up with children of the same age, and be a quiet child for now.

Huo Xiaoxiao thought disgustingly.

Creak!

The door opened.

Deliberate light footsteps hurriedly came. She estimated that the nurse had come for her round.

Huo Xiaoxiao closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. Next second, she was lifted up by someone. She couldn’t even see the face of the person holding her before she was wrapped tightly in the arms.

She listened to the vigorous heartbeat of the person’s chest, which was hurried and flustered. Obviously, the person was not serious about looking after children.

Stealing children?

Trafficker?

Just when Huo Xiaoxiao was considering whether to let out a cry, a deliberately suppressed female voice asked anxiously, “Ji Shuyang, what are you doing?”

“Fang Jing, please help me this time. Just pretend as if you saw nothing. I must take this baby away.”

“Take the child away? Are you crazy?”

The nursery was quiet for a while. Huo Xiaoxiao’s ears were up straight, and she heard the angry and heavy breathing on top of her head.

“I’m not crazy! My sister’s child must never grow up beside Huo Suicheng!”

“But…”

“You also know that Huo Suicheng, the child will not end well beside him!”

Oh, it’s the original predecessor’s uncle.

Hmm, If she remembered correctly, this predecessor’s uncle was a cannon fodder and could not survive even one episode?

Is he reliable?

But then, there were orderly footsteps at the corner of the hallway outside the door. The sound of leather shoes stepping on the floor was crisp and loud. From the noise, there was more than one person.

“Mr. Huo, the child is in the nursery. You can rest assured that the child is healthy and can be discharged at any time.”

Ji Shuyang and Fang Jing glanced at each other. In the end, Fang Jing was defeated by Jin Shuyang’s expression. She pulled him in the other direction toward the stairs.

When the two figures had just disappeared in the corridor of the nursery, four or five people in formal black suits and leather shoes appeared at the door.

Currently, Huo Suicheng stood idly by the window. His eyes were deep, calm, and reserved, and his thoughts never appeared on his face. He looked indifferent, as if nothing in the world could affect his emotions. Even if he was here to pick up his daughter, his expression was still the same; there was no trace of joy.

The nurse walked into the nursery and found that Huo Xiaoxiao’s crib was empty.

Huo Suicheng swept his narrowed eyes coldly.

“Where is the child?”
