Chapter 91: Finding Investors

After setting up the product, Lin Xin drew out a business plan and went to search online for possible investors. She wanted to find a partner with enough resources, so after choosing from a list, she took fancy on a local communications company and immediately contacted them.

The company was based in S City and was one of the three major companies involved in wireless communication, although its share in the market was slightly lower than the other two.

This was a good breakthrough. Lin Xin prepared the documents and emailed them directly to the person in charge of communications, whose contact details she found online. In her mind, she doesn’t lose anything in sending this email. She only needed to give it a try.

Five days later, she received a reply. The supervisor agreed to meet her.

At the appointed time, Lin Xin brought the documents directly to the communication building.

She went to the front desk and gave her name.

The front desk girl saw that she was still young so she asked her name, “Lin Xin?”

Lin Xin replied, “Yes.”

The receptionist dialed the manager’s number, “The CEO has arrived. Have her come up directly?”

“Directly.”

The receptionist put down the phone, pointed to the elevator, and said, “Topmost floor, 22nd, go straight up.”

Lin Xin thanked her and ran into the elevator with the documents in her arms.

The receptionist watched her as she entered the elevator. In her mind, she thought:

What is a primary school student doing here? Why does the CEO regard her so highly?

When Lin Xin got out of the elevator, she found the office door, opened it, and discovered two secretaries inside.

The elder one asked, “Did you make an appointment?”

When Lin Xin nodded, the older one said, “You can go in. The CEO is inside.”

Lin Xin opened the door with the documents in her hands.

The view from the window was wide and a tall man was standing at the window, looking at the scenery outside. Hearing her enter, he turned to look in her direction.

His facial features were as sharp as a knife, his eyes as keen as an eagle’s as they fixedly stared at the person near the entrance.

Lin Xin’s eyes slightly narrowed. It seemed like he was expecting her.

She opened her mouth and said, “Long time no see.”

Xiao Tian smiled, walked to his desk, and sat down.

“Why haven’t you changed?”

Lin Xin smiled and asked, “Do you mean to say you’ve aged?”

Xiao Tian did not respond. After sweeping his gaze over her body, he said, “Did you write the plan?”

As you can see. Lin Xin shrugged.

“Not bad,” Xiao Tian said.

From the moment Lin Xin saw him, she knew she didn’t want to work with him. However, she didn’t want to offend him. For the sake of basic courtesy, she replied, “Thank you.”

Xiao Tian leaned back on his office chair and looked at her while saying, “I only want a 10% share in your company. I can provide the resources you want, on one condition — you come here to work.”

“So I’ll work under you?”

Xiao Tian nodded his head and said, “Your proposal, I won’t deny it’s very good. But your focus lied on leadership and innovation, and to be honest, I’m more interested in your expertise.”

Lin Xin laughed, “I have an ambition, to be a simple, ordinary boss. Working for you, forget it.”

She didn’t want to further involve herself with Xiao Tian, so she held the information and turned to leave.

Xiao Tian continued, “How about 5%?”
