“Yes.” Evan echoed him softly, patting his back lightly.

This matter is finally over. With Mel’s death, it’s over, everything is over. Whether it’s him, the Duke or the dead Mel, all of them, they all got what they wanted, and they all went on to their own endings.

Mel’s death did not cause any fluctuations in Evan’s heart, not even the slightest ripple. He deserved this ending. He did something unforgivable and set up such a big game to fool everyone. It almost implicated him and he’s not sad that there will be such an ending.

The only thing that made Evan feel a little uncomfortable was Elisa, who had escaped from the consequences. That woman did such a cold-blooded thing but was not punished. This was something Evan could not accept.
