Lucius was shocked to hear this news. He knew that he had taken a beating but he never thought that it would actually be that bad!

But even though Lucius was shocked to hear how bad his condition had been  as Lucius heard Camilla's words chastising him, he was left a little indignant.

Although he had abused the fuck out of his cheat like Ultimate fire resistance, he had still faced Third-class Mage!

Even Camilla who was much more skilled and even slightly stronger than the current Lucius would still be burned into a piece of charcoal if she came up against a third class fire  Mage.

But although Lucius still had valuable points he could argue, in the end, he decided to just keep quiet.

He has nearly scared the life out of this girl so he could at least give her this small victory.

Lucius talked with Camilla some more before he eventually calmed her down and Lucius used that time to bring up another topic.

"Camilla, have you informed the revolutionary army and Albert about my current state?"

Hearing Lucius question Camilla flinched, evidently feeling slightly guilty

"N-no.."

"Good."

Hearing this Camilla breathed a sigh of relief.

If Lucius blamed  her for withholding the delivery of information about his poor health she didn't know what she would  do

"Camilla, Albert should have finished purging the spies in the revolutionary army by now. Correct?"

"Yes, young leader. When I left to carry out the mission you assigned me, I received  a message from Albert that he was headed towards the Imperial Capital and should be here any day now."

"Good," Said Lucius smiling

"Now we can make our next moves

After failing to mobilise the strength of the revolutionary army he was furious!

The blatant disregard of the radicals within the army to follow his orders and the fact that they had been fighting him at all times left him with deep worries.

Although it will happen in the future, the protagonist will wholly inherit a powerful organisation and that is the church of light.

The single greatest religion on the continent with countless believers, priests and paladins who would fight to the death for their living saint.

While it might not be essential now, if he wanted to be a major player in the late game he must wholly grasp the power of the revolutionary army in his hands and to do that he had to eliminate all dissent.

Putting it frankly, Lucius had no use for a devout radical revolutionary if that said revolutionary wasn't loyal to him first.

These thoughts would have never been had by the previous Lucius. He was a true revolutionary.  Even if he lost all control of the revolutionary army as long as the revolution won in the end

But how would that benefit the current Lucius?  The old Lucius had been replaced by him so why would risk his life and die for something he couldn't even benefit from? A crazy revolution would only benefit him if it was his organisation.

Even if they wouldn't let him become a king after the revolution, Lucius would become a dictator!

Sorry, but he didn't have the masochistic tendency to share his power

With that, Lucius turned towards Camilla with a serious expression on his face.

"Camilla, I'm going to need you to head into the city and to link up  with Reina who has arrived and already formed a small base of operations."

"Reina? That bit- I mean barbarian!"

Lucius saw that Camilla's expression twisted when Reina was mentioned

Lucius was a little helpless.  Reina's personality wasn't just stubborn but rotten to the core. Unfortunately for Camilla, Lucius wasn't leaving her with any choice.

First and foremost before anything, he was still her boss, so even if she hated Reina's guts, she could only frown as she carried out his orders.

Just as Camilla accepted her orders and was about to get up to leave and carry them out.

There was sudden noise at the door as it swung open, but the person at the door only took a few steps in the door before they froze in shock

"L-Lucius…"

Veronica stood there, looking at the awake Lucius with an expression of shock and joy on her face.

It was only after several seconds that she even managed to realise that there was another person in the room

"Oh, Camilla. You're here again too. I brought some fruits for Lucius this time, would you like to have some as well."

Hearing this Camilla just showed a polite smile and declined.

"Unfortunately, I have something important to do so I can't stay around her for long." As Camilla said this she turned around to give  Lucius a quick glance.

As She did this,  Lucius saw a little resentment appear on her face.

To be honest it was understandable

Camilla had been at his side before he awoke and now he just sent her off to work hard whilst another beauty crept into his room.

No matter how you took it, it really was not a good  look,  but what could he do?

His mission from god was to capture the hearts of several heroines and now there was simply not enough Lucius to go around.

After seeing Veronica arrive, Camilla got up said goodbye and went out to carry out the mission Lucius gave her leaving just

Soon Veronica came and sat down next to Lucius, sitting in a chair that was placed near his sickbed

For a while, there was just an awkward silence between Veronica and Lucius as each one struggled to finally find a way  to say a word

Eventually, Veronica shyly coughed as she spoke out

"Uhh… I brought some fruits for you if you would like them."

Hearing this Lucius didn't hold back at all

"I would love to try them out."

As Lucius said this he could see a brilliant smile appear on Veronica's face

….

Several seconds later, Veronica had placed a plate of peeled apples in front of him
