He’s So Sweet After Class

Mo Lingqiu returned to his home on the second day of the New Year because the Jiang family started to have relatives and very famous people from all walks of life coming to visit.

Because there were just too many people and Mo Lingqiu’s pheromone repulsion hadn’t yet been completely cured, Jiang Chenming brought him back to Yuanqiao apartment.

“Teacher Mo, I’ll come back to live after I finish my busy period.” Jiang Chenming was nevertheless unwilling to part with him.

As an Omega who had been marked by his partner, Mo Lingqiu instinctively did not want to separate from Jiang Chenming either, but he was thin-skinned. “It’s okay, you deal with your business properly, I have to go to the capital in a few days.” Mo Lingqiu elaborated, “To see my parents.”

Jiang Chenming understood. Mo Lingqiu’s parents didn’t have a holiday for this year’s New Year. It should have been a reunion day, but they were separated from each other.

“Then tell me when you get to the capital.”

After Jiang Chenming left, Mo Lingqiu called his parents and informed them that he was going to the capital.

Han Ying asked him, “You spent the New Year alone?”

“En, I went to his house.” Mo Lingqiu admitted, “Both of us are dating.”

The first day Mo Lingqiu arrived in the capital, the hotel staff brought two large boxes of gifts as soon as he checked into the hotel. 

“This is a gift which Mr. Jiang has entrusted us to give to you.  Please sign for it.”

Mo Lingqiu was dumbfounded, and after a moment, he signed the receipt handed to him, closed the door and called Jiang Chenming.

Jiang Chenming was in a meeting when he received the call. He raised his hand to stop the meeting and walked out of the conference room to answer the phone.

“Hello, Teacher Mo, what’s wrong?”

“In a meeting?” Mo Lingqiu heard Jiang Chenming’s voice seemed a bit clear, with no background noise at all, and guessed if he had just come out of the conference room.

“Teacher Mo, you’re so smart.” Jiang Chenming had a smile in his tone.

“I knew it by hearing.” Mo Lingqiu looked at the gift box on the floor. “Did you send me a gift?”

“Yes, a New Year’s gift for aunt and uncle.” Jiang Chenming explained.

Mo Lingqiu fell silent for a moment.  He went to Jiang Chenming’s house to meet the elders of the Jiang family, but the gifts were prepared by Jiang Chenming in advance. Now that he had arrived in the capital, Jiang Chenming had personally prepared New Year gifts for his parents.

Everything was prepared by him alone, unlike himself, who didn’t do anything at all. 

When Jiang Chenming saw that the other side of the phone had been silent, he called out to Mo Lingqiu, but the other side did not respond.

“Teacher Mo, what’s wrong?”

“Next year I’ll prepare a New Year’s gift.” Mo Lingqiu sulked and blurted out.

Jiang Chen Ming who was standing upright smiled and leaned against the wall in a relaxed manner. “Okay.”

Mo Lingqiu felt his face was a little warm when he finished speaking. “You are not allowed to prepare anything next year.”

“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

“En.”

“Teacher Mo, you just promised me your whole year next year.” The more Jiang Chenming thought about it, the happier he became.

Mo Lingqiu blushed.  Before he could retort, he heard Jiang Chenming continue, “Next year you prepare. From the year after next, we will prepare together.”

This was the future that Jiang Chenming had promised, and Mo Lingqiu felt even more embarrassed. “I’m hanging up, quickly continue your meeting.”

“Bye Teacher Mo. I love you.”

After hanging up the phone, Mo Lingqiu carefully looked at the things Jiang Chenming prepared, most of them were things which his parents liked. Mo Lingqiu searched the Internet and found out some might not be able to be bought with money, which showed Jiang Chenming’s sincerity.

Thinking about it, Mo Lingqiu sent another message to Jiang Chenming on Wechat.

Qiu: Thank you.

When Jiang Chenming saw it, it was already after work in the evening. He returned a “kiss” sticker to Mo Lingqiu.

At this moment, Mo Lingqiu was sitting in the dining room eating with his own parents, and when he received the message, the corners of his mouth curled up into a faint smile.

Han Ying was surprised to see her son’s sudden change of expression.

“Why don’t you stay in the capital for a few more days? Mom will take some time out to go out with you.” Han Ying hadn’t seen Mo Lingqiu for too long, and she still missed him.

“Okay.” Mo Lingqiu nodded in agreement as there was nothing to do when he returned anyway.

Mo Lingqiu listened to Han Ying and stayed in the capital for a week. Han Ying and Mo Songcheng also tried to find time to go out with him. However, the capital was still very large, so he definitely couldn’t visit all the places with just this short period of time. Before leaving, Han Ying specially asked him to come with Jiang Chenming next time.

Not long after returning to City A, University A started school. 

A new semester meant a new atmosphere, Jiang Chenming’s training classes this semester were lesser than the previous semester, so he would go home to deal with the company’s business once he was free. Slowly, he had also put in place a piece of his own conception of the business, gradually heading onto the right track.

Mo Lingqiu was assigned to cover two months of Chinese classes for a teacher who was on maternity leave, and the day he appeared in the undergraduate classroom of the Department of Chinese Language, he attracted many students.

During the middle of class, Mo Lingqiu sat at the podium to see the content of the next unit, while the students were discussing about him in a low volume as they sat. 

 “Teacher Mo has the scent of Jiang Chenming’s pheromone on him.”

“It should be a temporary mark, right?”

“Why didn’t he do a permanent mark? If it were me, I wouldn’t be able to resist it. Jiang Chenming can really put up with it.”

“No matter what, your turn will never come.”

“Cheh, you say as if your turn will come.”

“But Teacher Mo is really too good-looking. Hai, Jiang Chenming had taken the advantage.”

“I do think the two are quite compatible, I’m quite curious about their pheromone compatibility rate. Do you think they will break up if it’s really low?”

When everyone was still chatting without restraint, the back door of the classroom was quietly pushed open and Jiang Chenming walked down the stairs to the empty seat in the corner of the last row.

Mo Lingqiu’s action of looking at the content paused. He raised his head confusingly and looked at the back of the classroom, and soon his eyes met with Jiang Chenming’s.

He was in sportswear, his hair had just shaved short, his face which had a knife-like silhouette was incomparably clear. His eyes were filled with gentleness and affection, and was unbelievably handsome. 

Mo Lingqiu’s face reddened, lowered his head and wasn’t able to concentrate on reading the content of the lesson.

The students in the classroom who had been staring at Mo Lingqiu still wondered for a while why did Mo Lingqiu blush. They then took a look at the back row of the classroom and saw the reason that made Mo Lingqiu blush.

“Jiang Chenming is here.”

“Crap, he’s really handsome.”

“I’m crying, I’m so jealous of this sweet atmosphere.”

“Single dogs don’t deserve happiness.”

“I don’t even smell Jiang Chenming’s pheromones, it’s deliberately suppressed, right?”

“Teacher Mo can feel it ah, he is indeed marked. When his own Alpha appeared, his legs might have gone weak.”

The topic gradually developed in a dangerous direction, and Mo Lingqiu’s face became redder, until then the class bell rang, which kind of saved him.

After a lesson, Mo Lingqiu quickly packed up his things and walked out of the classroom through the front door. Jiang Chenming, who had walked out from the back door long ago, walked towards him, took the things in Mo Lingqiu’s hand and held his hand. 

“Teacher Mo, shall we go out to eat? Skewer.”

“Okay.” Mo Lingqiu heard the word “skewer”, and felt a little hungry. He had not eaten skewers for the whole winter holiday and was kind of missing it.

Jiang Chenming accompanied Mo Lingqiu to put the things back in the office and then walked outside the school together.

On the way, Jiang Chenming mentioned about the New Year’s Gala. “I’m going to host the New Year’s Gala. Teacher Mo, will you come and watch?”

“You’re hosting?” Mo Lingqiu looked dumbfounded.

“Yes, are you very surprised?”

Mo Lingqiu nodded his head very seriously. “A little.”

Jiang Chenming gave a “haha” laugh. “Is that so? I don’t look like a person who can host?”

“I always thought you would only participate in outdoor activities.” Mo Lingqiu had never seen Jiang Chenming join student councils or clubs, and had always thought he was not interested in them.

“It’s true, but I won’t refuse if I’m approached.” Jiang Chenming smiled. The New Year’s Gala was University A’s annual event held in the beginning of the year, which all the students would need to join. Each department would come up with a representative program to perform at the gala. It was of great significance and also loved by the students. “When the time comes, Teacher Mo should come to watch it, I will save you a seat.”

“Okay.” Mo Lingqiu answered.

“And about the tour reward of the basketball competition, that tour voucher has been handed out.” Jiang Chenming said, “I asked, if we are willing to pay the meals and accommodation ourselves, it’s possible to not go with the group.  So let’s go on the tour alone?”

“… Okay.” Mo Lingqiu suddenly got nervous.

“Teacher Mo, I want to mark you if it’s possible.” Jiang Chenming squeezed Mo Lingqiu’s palm.

“You…” Mo Lingqiu gulped. “… as you wish.”
