How to Raise a Silver-Haired Loli – [Chapter 5]

I headed home and had a simple dinner with the loli’s gift as a side dish.

Actually, I am curious how did they manage to find time to make Braised Meat and Potatoes? They hadn’t even finished unpacking yet… Also, is it really a good idea to use food as a greeting gift?

“It’s pretty tasty though.”

Finishing dinner, I hung on the railing of the balcony staring blankly into the distance.

The sun had already gone down, signalling the end of the day.

Having nothing better to do, I turned off all the lights in the room and stood in the darkness, admiring the night view.

“Haaa… I’m so tired.”

“Good job, loli.”

“Eh? Eh! Why is Yu Fei here!”

The loli who had just come out to her balcony pointed at me shakily. I glanced at her for a moment before returning my gaze to the night view.

“Because I’m your neighbour and this is my house.” I said.

“Ah… Yeah…”

The loli calmed down and came to the side of the balcony near to me. She rested her arms on the railing and asked me, “Didn’t you go to sleep?”

“Have I say that?”

“Why else would you turn off all the lights?”

“… So that you’ll lower your guard and I can catch you in your unglam moments.”

“Ehhhh!!! Really?!”

The loli crossed her hands across her chest and stepped back. Seeing her reaction, I couldn’t help but giggle. The loli seemed to have noticed that I was just joking.

“Yu Fei, you’re not serious right?”

“Of course not, I’m not a pervert… Haha…”

“Hey, do you think that’s funny?”

“You should have seen yourself.”

I managed to suppress my laughter and rubbed away the tears that had formed. I turned to look at the loli only to see her make a throwing action, as to what she threw I had no idea.

Bep. [1]

I easily dodged the incoming object.

Bending down to pick up the object, I saw what it was.

“A slipper?”

Looking at the slipper in my hand, I found it both surprising and hilarious. I turned to look at the loli only to see her red-faced, angrily saying, “You’re mean! Hmph!”

Finishing, the loli returned home and slammed the door close.

“Whoops, did I piss her off?”

Seeing the loli get so angry, I didn’t dare to continue laughing.

Looking back at the pink bunny slipper in my hand, I started thinking of what to do.

“I should probably return this and apologise to her.”

I sighed and smiled wryly before heading to the loli’s house with the slipper.

Knock, knock, knock.

“Coming.”

A soothing voice replied to the knocking sound and the door was opened.

“Ara, it’s Yu Fei. Is something wrong?”

I showed her the slipper and told her, “Hello aunty, I’m here to return this.”

“This is… Xiao Xue’s slippers?”

I nodded and handed the slippers over to the aunt and asked her, “How’s Zhou Xue”

“She had just ran into her room with a terrible expression on her face.”

“Can I see her?”

“Of course.”

The loli’s mom moved out of the way and showed me into the house. I changed into a pair and slippers and made my way to the loli’s room.

Standing outside, I loudly asked, “Zhou Xue are you there?”

The door soon opened a little and the loli looked at me through the small crack and asked me coldly, “What do you want?”

“Um… Wanna play?”

Thinking for a bit, I replied with a more ‘politically correct’ answer.

Instantly, the loli’s eyes lit up and she opened the door and dragged me in impatiently.

Pink.

Everything is pink!

Her bedroom was coloured with various shades of pink.

“So what are you here for?”

The loli climbed towards the end of the bed and hugged her teddy bear staring at me cautiously. I just sat down on the floor and told her, “I’m here to see you.”

“For?”

“Well, you seemed angry and I had to return the slipper to you.”

Staring at the loli, I decided that she had recovered and said, “Since you’re fine, I’ll be taking my leave.”

“How does it look like I’m fine?”

“You seem pretty lively.”

“That’s cause I’m angry!”

The loli pouted and looked at me.

I think… She is angry?

I’ve never had much patience for girls, especially the bratty ones.

I’ve always avoided these people like I avoid attention.

That said, given how often I’ve been told, “It’s still better to have a few friends.” I still recognised that there’s no point to needlessly burning bridges.

“Fine, I’ll apologise.”

I lowered my head and apologised sincerely.

With this apology, the loli smiled and came down from the bed and cheerfully said, “I forgive you!”

After making some small talk, I left and went home.
