Xiao Jiashu pushed the porridge bowl towards Ji Mian, “Seafood porridge, it’s very sweet and fresh.”

“There are shrimps in it?”

“Yes, a lot of big shrimps. Look.” Xiao Jiashu stirred the porridge and fished out all the shrimps that had sunk to the bottom.

Ji Mian frowned slightly, he seemed to be hesitating. After about two or three seconds, he took out a bottle of medicine from his pocket, and simply said, “Is there anymore? Give me a bowl.”  He said this as he swallowed a pill.

Fang Kun, who had arrived slightly late, eyes widened and scolded, “Why, are you courting death again…” Seeing the young master Xiao giving him a questioning look had him swallowing back the rest of his words.

Xiao Jiashu handed a bowl of porridge from the flask to Ji Mian, and then continued to read the script. Fang Kun glanced at him and smiled, “Why do you have the script of The Cold Crown Prince is a beautiful Princess? Is that Zhao Chuan came to you for investment? Let me warn you, better don’t listen to him. His crew is a strange one, it’s obviously an ancient drama yet his is even more fashionable than a modern fashion show, the actors are ones that haven’t even graduated yet, but he chose them because of their looks. There’s not even basic acting skills to depend on…. ”

Fang Kun could keep critiquing Zhao Chuan’s new drama for hours without stopping.

However, Xiao Jiashu was not listening at all, and his attention was focused on the script. The plot of this drama was really divine! The crown prince was a woman dressed as a man, the princess was also dressed as men. The two wonderful characters each with their own difficulties made for quite a pair. After marriage, lot of things happened. The crown prince wanted to fight for the throne, the princess wanted to become a general and give birth to a large number of children. At the beginning, it was quite tumultuous, the middle was melodramatic, and the ending was very vulgar. It was a challenge to humanity’s three views!

But what was even more amazing was that Xiao Jiashu found the plot so amusing, that he almost laughed out loud several times. He took out a tissue to cover his mouth, and then continued to look, and finally he began to meditate. How could one say that this movie was a hoax? It was instead a simple, fun and unconventional one. Zhao Chuan was also directing unconventionally. He used brand-new styles, brand-new actors, brand-new scenes, it was dazzling at first glance, but after watching it, he could savor the unique flavor and even aesthetic feeling.

His composition skills, color application, emotional rendering, and plot arrangement were all unique. It is not like a he was new director and this was his first time, but instead he felt like a cutting-edge artist. His aesthetic may be a bit niche, but it is by no means lifeless, it had a dreamlike appeal.

Xiao Jiashu finished and pondered, “Thank you Kun-Ge for the warning, but I think this drama is very interesting and worth trying.”

He was about to put the script in the file bag when Ji Mian reached out and smiled, “Let me have a look. ”

” Okay. “Xiao Jiashu handed the two file bags together and explained,” Ji Ge, this is one is for ” A Dream of a Hundred Years “, you can also have a look. I think these two dramas have great potential and am ready to invest in them. ”

” Director Wei’s ” A Dream of a Hundred Years “? Isn’t that a children’s drama? “Ji Mian said slowly,” Children’s dramas in these years are not easy to sell. It’s all very fantasy-like, either superman, monsters, or various kinds of small animals. For such historical drama, there’s no well-defined audience”.

” I made a new plan, the audience is mainly adults. “Xiao Jiashu figured out a plan that he spent the whole night working out and let Ji Mian see it first. If last night he had any doubts about these two scripts, he was very determined now as he made up his mind. He believed his own vision and judgment.

Ji Mian flipped through the investment plan and glanced at Xiao Jiashu. He could only give two evaluations: first was the professional planning beyond imagination; second was the unusually precise positioning.

“It looks good and feasible.” He agreed.

“Ji-Ge, aren’t you kidding?” Fang Kun quickly laughed. “On those two broken crews, you are still willing to invest? One uses children to film historical dramas, and the other uses exotic costumes to film ancient drama,  it’s already good enough that underwear is not showing.  Xiao Jiashu, Ji-Ge was just comforting you, don’t take it seriously. ”

Is Ji-Ge comforting me and I wouldn’t be able to notice? You know, Ji-Ge was admitted to the Mathematics Department of Harvard University on a full scholarship. Although he could not graduate due of family reasons, his IQ was enough to get rid of dozens of you from the streets! Why would I not listen to Ji-Ge? Xiao Jiashu was very disappointed in his heart but didn’t show it on his face. He insisted, “Ji Ge agreed and said it was the real deed.

“If Ji Ge is really that optimistic about these two projects, do you want him to make a contribution?” Shi Ting Heng slowly walked over and ridiculed, “Ji Mian, you can’t just be all talk and no action. Take out your cheque book quickly”.

Ji Mian really took out the cheque book and earnestly said, “Do you want to be sole proprietorship or joint venture?” I am also very optimistic about these two projects, but the script was brought by you, and the planning was also written by you. I have to ask your opinion if I can get a share of it. ”

Everyone thought he was teasing Xiao Jiashu and making a joke. After that, he would definitely try his best to prevent the other party from throwing money into the water. He immediately frowned and covered his mouth to laugh.

Lin Le Yang also came. He was sitting on the side and listening to the two of them quietly. He seemed happy on the outside, but inside he was actually uncomfortable. Ji Ge has never made a joke with himself like this before. He was always gentle and considerate. He seemed but in fact he was far away.  He seemed to be his real self when interacting with Xiao Jiashu than himself! What was he supposed to think?

Whilst Lin Le Yang was busy thinking, Xiao Jiashu nodded happily, “Okay, Ji Ge, let’s work on these two projects together. I don’t have any experience and would want to learn more from you. Let’s talk about it later in the evening. I’ll invite Directors Wei and Zhao so we can have a meal together.” Xiao Jiashu took the opportunity to open his WeChat and invited the two directors.
Fang Kun still thought that Ji Mian was making a big joke, and rushed to quickly grabbed Master Xiao’s mobile phone, “Ah, wait for me first …”

“Don’t wait. It’s about noon and I have something to do at night.” Ji Mian put away the cheque book, “Don’t mind the bustle, eat your breakfast.”

Although the crowd was surprised, they didn’t comment, and took the breakfast away. If people like to throw money into the water. Then what was their business?

Xiao Jiashu just ignored Fang Kun, and sent a text message to Wei Jiang and Zhao Chuan, asking them to have lunch at a nearby restaurant at noon, and talk about investment.

Ji Mian is Lin Le Yang’s lover. How can Lin Le Yang not care about the investment tat was destined to go bust? who is destined to make a splash, not care? Taking advantage of Master Xiao’s running to the toilet, he secretly pulled at Ji Mian’s sleeves and persuaded, “Ji Ge, do you really want to invest in these two dramas? I went to the nearby studio when I was on a break and found out that their crew us really rudimentary, the plot is strange, and both the directors and actors are not professional. It is just a mess! Are you, uh … ”

He did not dare to say finish his words.

Are you looking at Xiao Jiashu’s face before investing? Do you have special feelings for Xiao Jiashu and want to attract his attention? Do you think I am not as good as Xiao Jiashu, so you dislike me? All kinds of worries filled his heart, but no way, Xiao Jiashu was under his nose, and he was so enthusiastic about Ji Ge, how could he not think more? He did even guard against the other, comparing himself with Xiao Jiashu made him more afraid.

Ji Mian rubbed his temples tiredly as his browns furrowed, suggesting that he was holding back some emotions. Instead of losing his impatience, he explained calmly, “The two dramas have their own characteristics, which is very suitable for the entertainment market today, and also caters to the tastes of the audience. Now people’s lifes are getting busier and the pressure higher. Going home to watch those anti-Japanese dramas, Gongdou operas, and Zhaidou operas, can feel rather tiring. These two dramas can make people relax, even smile, and if the quality of the show is not bad, then they will have an audience and good reputation. In the end, even if one cannot get profit, one would not have too much of a loss either. Besides, it not hard to do some promotion later down the line.”

Lin Le Yang nodded and smiled sincerely, “Ji Ge has made so many investments and it hasn’t failed. I’m sure it will work this time. I support you.” But in fact, he didn’t believe a word. Children’s plays are not popular, plus an irrational ancient drama, it would be strange if it was able to make any profit! What catering to the audience? Ji Ge was just catering to Xiao Jiashu!

Ji Mian fixed his gaze on him, unable to find the slightest hypocrisy in his eyes, his eyes deepened. Le Yang’s acting is worse than Xiao Jiashu? No, he has an acting ability that is completely equal to or even superior to that of Xiao Jiashu, but this did not make him happy.

Lin Le Yang’s scalp turned numb under Ji Ge’s gaze, he was ready to say something to ease the tension when Xiao Jiashu came back with  Miao Mu Qing. She walked whilst looking in the mirror, and asked anxiously, “Xiao Jiashu, what do you think about the bruise on my face?”

Lin Le Yang was worried about offending Miao Mu Qing. He chose to speak first, “Sister Mu Qing, I think the bruise on your face seems to be much lighter than yesterday.”

Miao Muqing’s face turned black at once, as she was just about to unleash her anger, Xiao Jiashu frowned and spoke,” Sister Mu Qing, the bruise is not a light at all, did you forget to apply the medicine last night? ”

Xiao Zhou, the personal assistant though reluctant gave the sincerest answer. Xiao Jiashu had been abroad for a long time and has no idea how to deal with the interpersonal relationship. Facing a woman, especially a female star, can you just easily talk about her face? Your answer is not extra points but death!

Miao Muqing’s gradually darkened complexion immediately turned lightened, “It’s alright without fading! Yesterday I went to the L’Oreal headquarters. They were very satisfied with the blue and purple on me. They repeatedly asked me to keep the color and shape. Today, they can make a video of the perfect transformation. If I smooth out the bruises, I would really mess up the job. Nowadays, people are more and more hypocritical, they like to talk nonsense with their eyes open. But Xiaoshu is the cutest ”

She raised an eyebrow at Xiao JIashu before entering the dressing room without giving Lin Le Yang a glance. Lin Le Yang subconsciously hid behind Ji Mian, filled with grievances. He just wanted to give Miao Muqing a consolation, how could it be hypocritical?
