She’s Injured

After some panicking, the crowd became quiet.

All eyes were on Shen Man and Lin Shu.

Shen Man looked up to see Lin Shu’s stunned apricot eyes. She hooked her lips in a light smile and asked, “Are you hurt?”

Lin Shu shook, her little face stained with a thin layer of red. She hung her head in a panic and did not respond.

The people in the court finally reacted.

Tan Kai hurried over and asked nervously, “Shen Man, are you alright?”

Shao Qi followed behind without a word. He looked at Shen Man indifferently, there was a trace of worry in his eyes.

“I’m fine.” Shen Man chuckled. She let go of Lin Shu and sat up straight.

Her movements affected the injury on her shoulder, so she couldn’t help frowning.

With guilt, Tan Kai said, “I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

Shen Man shook her head lightly.

Yin Ruxu looked around and glanced at Shao Qi. She brushed her hair and pinned it behind her ear with her hand. With concern, she said in a small voice, “Shen Man, can I bring you there instead?”

She reaches out to help Shen Man up.

Shen Man turned her head and smiled, “Thank you.”

Yin Ruxu breathed a sigh of relief.

Under everyone’s eyes, Yin Ruxu helped Shen Man slowly leave the field.

Tan Kai stared, suddenly grabbing Lin Shu with anxiety, “Lin Shu, why are you still in a daze? Shen Man is like that because of you, go take care of her.”

“I…” Lin Shu subconsciously wanted to refute, but when she opened her lips, she decided to swallow her words. She gave Tan Kai a glare and said,  “I know.”

She picked up her schoolbag and slung it over her shoulders with a cold face, then followed the two figures blankly.

Tan Kai glanced at Shao Qi angrily and asked loudly, “Are you going?”

Shao Qi gave a cold ’em’, before turning and walking towards the infirmary.

Tan Kai was about to follow, but suddenly realized he wasn’t wearing a jersey.

Ding Qian hurriedly handed over his jersey and mumbled with a red face, “Are you going too?”

Tan Kai nodded and quickly dressed. He picked up his bag and chased after them.

Ding Qian stood where she was and wanted to follow him. She looked at Yan Jie hesitantly and asked in a small voice, “Should we go too?”

“And then do what?” Yan Jie replied in disgust, standing up and leaving directly.

Ding Qian blinked. She didn’t have the courage to go alone, so she hurriedly left with Yan Jie.

Yin Ruxu is helping Shen Man walk.

A short distance behind them was Lin Shu.

Shen Man stopped and turned around to look at Lin Shu with a smile, “Shushu, I already have Yin Ruxu here. You don’t have to come too, go back to them.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she noticed Shao Qi and Tan Kai trailing behind.

Shen Man frowned slightly with worry, “I really don’t need so many people, tell Tan Kai and the others to go back and continue playing.”

When she spoke, she deliberately raised her voice so that the two boys could hear.

Tan Kai not only did not stop, but strode forward and said, “Me and Shao Qi caused this, of course we have to come with you.”

“Lin Shu too.” He looked back at Lin Shu.

Lin Shu turned her head aside and didn’t speak, which counted as an agreement.

Shao Qi didn’t speak either and just looked at her with a cold expression, but he didn’t mean to leave.

Shen Man: “…”

This development was completely unexpected for her.

This whole time, she wanted to avoid the plot and not have a bloody sadomasochistic relationship with the male lead and the second male lead. Little did she know, today’s incident would bring all the key characters together in one place.

The attitude of the two boys is firm, and they will not change their mind with just a few words of persuasion.

Helpless, Shen Man could only continue to walk.

When they arrived at the infirmary, their mighty group surprised the doctor.

The doctor knew the two boys and hurriedly came out to greet them, asking with a polite smile, “Is there anywhere you don’t feel well?”

“It’s not us, it’s Shen Man. Her shoulder was hit by a basketball.” Tan Kai said, with guilt in his tone.

The doctor breathed a sigh of relief and looked towards Shen Man, saying, “This classmate, please come here.”

Yin Ruxu helped Shen Man sit down.

Lin Shu, Tan Kai, and Shao Qi were standing not far away, all three of them staring at Shen Man.

The doctor felt the pressure double and hesitated for a moment before looking at the three, “The girl can stay, but I’ll have to trouble the rest to leave for a moment.”

Tan Kai exchanged glances with Shao Qi and went outside to wait.

The silent Shao Qi followed him out with a cold expression.

Yin Ruxu looked at the two and bit her lip. She said to Lin Shu, “Lin Shu, can you help Shen Man? My arm seems to be a little sore from coming here with her.”

Lin Shu was stunned and when she met Shen Man’s eyes, she quickly turned her head.

Shen Man laughed, “Thanks, I’ll be fine with Lin Shu here. If you have something to do, just go ahead.”

“I’m sorry.” Yin Ruxu got up apologetically and said in a small voice, “I’ll be waiting outside.”

Shen Man nodded with a smile.

Lin Shu still stood in her original spot, unmoving.

The doctor glanced at the two and said to Lin Shu with a kind smile, “Classmate, please come over and help her pull her shirt down.”

Lin Shu’s eyes flashed, and after a few seconds, she walked over with an awkward expression.

There was a bemused smile on Shen Man’s face, when she turned to look at Lin Shu, “I’ll have to trouble you, Shushu.”

Lin Shu silently reached out and pinched a corner of Shen Man’s collar, slowly pulling it down.

A large bruise came into view, and its edges were still red. It spread along almost her entire shoulder.

It was a shocking sight.

Lin Shu’s eyes froze.

If Shen Man hadn’t pushed her away, the ball would’ve hit her and she would have been crying on the spot.

But Shen Man kept smiling all this time, as if nothing happened.

Lin Shu pursed her lips and lowered her eyes. She avoided looking at the bruise.

Shen Man looked at her injury and laughed, “It’s okay, fortunately it’s not that serious.”

Hearing this, Lin Shu looked up in surprise, just in time to meet a pair of smiling eyes. She quickly avoided her gaze.

But at the same time, she accidentally pressed her finger somewhere, causing Shen Man to hiss in pain.

Lin Shu quickly retracted her hand back in a panic, and bit her lip. From her soft red lips, her voice was barely audible, “Are you okay…”

Shen Man didn’t hear clearly, so it took a while to process her words. Finally, she smiled and replied, “I’m fine.”

Lin Shu’s eyes lit up for a moment as she averted her gaze.

Seeing the girl unusually quiet and well-behaved, Shen Man smirked.

The doctor carefully examined the bruise and asked some basic questions, “You will do an x-ray first. As long as your bones are fine, everything will be alright.”

“Okay.” Shen Man fixed her collar.

While the doctor was preparing a form, Lin Shu accompanied Shen Man for the examination.

The infirmary is well-equipped, so they don’t need to wait long. Soon, the examination was finished and they got the results.

The two went to talk with the doctor.

The doctor carefully observed the results and smiled, “Your bones are in normal condition. I will prescribe some medication to apply on your bruise. But try not to do tasks that would put too much pressure on your shoulder.”

“After two days, if the pain in your shoulder is still unbearable, go see an orthopedic surgeon.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Shen Man said.

The doctor prepared the prescription and handed it to Lin Shu, saying, “I remember when you hurt your foot, she carried you here on her back. This time, she hurt her shoulder, and it was you who brought her here.”

“You two have a pretty good relationship.”

Speechless, Lin Shu paused before replying loudly, “She and I are just ordinary classmates.”

Stunned, the doctor turned to Shen Man.

Shen Man nodded with a smile, saying, “We’re really just ordinary classmates.”

The doctor’s eyes darted between the two with doubt, before finally meeting Lin Shu’s angry gaze. Coughing awkwardly, the doctor said, “Okay, you both should go get the medication now. If there’s any more questions, I’m alway available here.”

Lin Shu took the prescription and turned to walk out alone.

The doctor immediately told her, “This classmate, you have to help her.”

Hearing this, Lin Shu stopped and turned her head back to look at Shen Man with reluctance. Finally, she walked back and extended her hand out to Shen Man.

Shen Man laughed, letting Lin Shu help her up.

The two go to get the medication together.

As Lin Shu held Shen Man, she looked at her shoulder.

She subconsciously looked away and murmured, “Why did you save me?”

Her voice was so soft that Shen Man could hardly catch her words.

Shen Man chuckled with a lazy look, “Shushu is so delicate, I would be heartbroken if you got hurt.”

Lin Shu’s heart raced as she gave a hmph. Her tender, white face turned red.

The smile in Shen Man’s eyes deepened.
