Chapter 5

Entering the Palace 1

“Xiao Ru, is there anything I need to pay attention to in particular when I enters the palace?”  I am really scared I will do something wrong.  The palace is a place that swallows a person without leaving a single bone.  One wrong word and you can kiss your head goodbye.  I am beginning to regret promising him I will enter the palace.  Even though this manor swallows your freedom, at least you can go around unfettered in this place.

“Don’t worry.  I’m sure this is just a little meeting.  His Majesty probably just wants to see this daughter in law of his.”  This girl is really.  I asked her something and she replies by making fun of me.

“Xiao Ru, which daughter in law are you talking about?  Stop speaking nonsense.” I outstretch my hands to scratch her.

Xiao Ru giggles upon looking at me and quickly runs away, “Isn’t it like that?  Just ask wangye.”

“Why don’t you ask him yourself?  Don’t let me catch you, you are so done for!” I runs after her.  In the end, both of us creates ruckus in the garden.

Long Zi Xuan stands on the Rain Pavillion.  The wind blows his hair as he watches the merry air in the garden, his heart suddenly didn’t feel so empty anymore.  A simple smile is carved on his lips, resembling the beautiful aura of moonlight.  Seeing his master smiling, Feng Ye is very pleased.  It’s been so many years since he last saw him smile.  He quickly flies out of the pavilion to tell the housekeeper the good news.

“Xiao Ru, I am too tired.  Let’s rest first.”  I really don’t get how Xiao Ru still has the energy to run.  So tired!

“Xiao Ru is so tired as well.”

I lie on the grass delightedly.  The gentle sunlight is so warm.  A shadow suddenly blocks that sunlight; I open my eyes and squint.

Ah!  Long Zi Xuan!  Why is he so close to me?  I quickly gets up and my mouth bumps into something. Ah!  Somebody save me!  Ah!  Oh God!  My mouth actually bumped into his lips, my first kiss ah!

I gets up with a red face.  “Long Zi Xuan, why didn’t you dodge me?  It’s not my fault, don’t blame me!  I did not do it on purpose.  Just take it as being bitten in the lips by an ant!”

Long Zi Xuan laughs, remembering her warm lips and seeing that warm face, how can he have the heart to blame her?

Seeing Long Zi Xuan not having the desire to blame me, I pull his hand, “Wangye, this servant is ready.  Let’s go, don’t let the housekeeper wait too long!”  Hearing her address herself as ‘this servant’ and calling him ‘wangye’, he feels a little unhappy.

When the housekeeper arrives, he sees the two holding hands.  His old face shows an extremely pleased expression.  Seeing his wangye so happy, his heart carries tremendous gratitude towards the wangfei.  Guoshi is indeed not a mortal, his prediction is so accurate.  Ye told him that their wangye even smiled!

I look at the housekeeper who is stroking his beard while pondering cutely, I can’t stop myself from laughing.

Long Zi Xuan looks a little puzzled.

“Nothing.  I just thought that the housekeeper’s beard is so cute!”  I lie to him as I quickly climb into the carriage.  The cushion inside is made of brocade while the window is a purple silk.  There is even a small table inside.

Long Zi Xuan sits next to me.  As the carriage leaves the prince’s manor, I push aside the curtain and studies the bustling main street outside.  There are so many people, I really want to jump off this carriage.

“Stop looking.  I will take you out some other day.” Long Zi Xuan pulls my head away.  I would’ve gotten upset, but hearing what he said, I decide to let it go.  “Long Zi Xuan, do you have any girlfriend?”

“Girlfriend?”

“A female friend, something like that.”

“No, I don’t.”

I knew it.  Who can put up with him?

“Then, I’ll be your girlfriend.  Strolling around together, eating food together, play together.  If I encounter danger, you will have to protect me.  What do you think, Xuan?” I clings onto him.  I don’t believe he will refuse me!

Long Zi Xuan looks at that cute expression of her’s.  That warm feeling of her against his chest, and that luscious lips….  He has no idea what to think.

“What’s in for me?” He asks, wanting to tease her a little.

This ice block actually wants a benefit?  Looking at his lips and then his handsome face, kissing him a little wouldn’t make me suffer from anything.  In fact, he is the one to suffer a loss.  I lean in and kiss his lips.

What is this woman doing?  Long Zi Xuan didn’t know what to say.
