Her head began to ache slightly, and the bell rang.

Su Yue’s lips couldn’t help but curl up.

“Get up!” Jiang Ci’s face was expressionless, and his tone was cold. Su Yue was not only unafraid, but also overjoyed.

She hugged his waist and suppressed a smile. “Okay, okay, I’ll stand up now. Don’t be angry, it’s already late.” Su Yue relaxed her grip on Jiang Ci’s waist.

“Your clothes are wet; I’ll find you some dry clothes.” Su Yue set the cup aside, then went to the closet side to quickly find another pair of black pajamas for Jiang Ci, as well as running to the bathroom to get a dry towel.

Su Yue could still hear the bell ringing in her head, and she knew Jiang Ci hadn’t calmed down yet.

“Your hair is wet; let me dry it.” Su Yue walked over to Jiang Yi, placed the towel on his head, and gently wiped his hair. “Jiang Ci, I didn’t mean to, don’t be angry, okay?”

Jiang Ci’s fingers that buttoned his pajamas were slender, with distinct joints, and the fair and beautiful fingers stood out against his face. “I’m not angry,” he said coldly, pulling the corner of his mouth back.

Liar!

Behind him, Su Yue cursed quietly.

She took out the hair dryer, plugged it in, and began blow drying Jiang Ci’s hair. Su Yue blew back and forth patiently, her fingertips intertwined with soft hair. She dashed to the water dispenser and poured him another cup of warm water when his hair was almost dry. The service attitude was not very good.

“The water is ready for you. It’s not hot.” Jiang CI received it from Su Yue. “Jiang Ci, don’t be angry for the sake of my dedication,” she said quietly.

It’s simple to make people angry, but it’s not so simple to calm them down.

Jiang Ci sat back and rested his hands on the bed. “You poured water on me and crushed me,” he said, his brows slightly raised with coldness, and his dark eyes were like bottomless black holes, making people tremble inexplicably. “Isn’t it time to fix it now?”

He sipped some water. Despite the scar on his face and the hemostatic patch, his pale lips were stained with water, and he was very attractive.

Su Yue hurriedly retracted her gaze, trembling her eyelashes a few times, and whispered: “I’m sorry; I shouldn’t have annoyed you. Punish me by making you mango cake tomorrow, okay?”

Jiang Ci did not respond; instead, he lay down on the bed, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

“Angry value: 0.”

Su Yue couldn’t help but laugh secretly as she looked at the man on the bed, lying flat with his hands vertical on the side of his legs, against the seam of his pants, in an upright sleeping position, for a more upright man.

Easy to coax!

Su Yue turned around, hurried to get the scale out, stood up, but the number shown above was still 140 pounds the next second. But it didn’t matter because she remembered that the previous times there had been changes in the next day, so she was prepared to wait until tomorrow morning to weigh again.

Su Yue went to the bathroom to apply some skin care products before returning to her bed. She sat on the bed, as far away from Jiang Ci as possible but still uneasy, and rolled the sheet into a strip shape in the middle of the two, dividing the boundary, because she didn’t want to anger him again the next day.

Su Yue awoke early the following morning. She sat up quickly after realizing that half of her body had already crossed the line. Jiang Ci, fortunately, was blind and didn’t notice anything.

She didn’t have time to put her shoes on, she jumped out of bed and went to find the scale.

135 pounds!

Lost another five pounds!

God, she got it right. She coaxed Jiang Ci well after he became angry, and she would lose five pounds! When he looked at her arms again, her complexion became a little paler.

Su Yue’s lips were pursed and her face was filled with satisfaction. She loved this lovely golden finger. Jiang Ci is angry and she’s suffering, but if she is rewarded with beauty, she is willing!

Su Yue examined her face from left to right while standing in front of the mirror. Although her cheeks remained fleshy on both sides, her chin became a little sharper, her eyes were no longer squeezed into gaps and were a lot bigger, black and bright, and even her skin color was paler, not black, but yellow.

She was still wearing the original owner’s loose and wide clothes at the time, and she appeared thinner overall.

Su Yue was in a good mood when she finished washing up and carefully applied her skin care products. She has worked in the entertainment industry and understands the value of a beautiful face. She used to be stunning and had to be meticulously cared for. Of course, now that she looks like this, she needs to take better care of herself.

Su Yue no longer purposefully made Jiang Ci angry during breakfast. After all, she lost five pounds today, and losing too much weight all of a sudden would inevitably raise suspicions. She intended to irritate him every now and then in order to lose weight while remaining unnoticeable.

“Jiang Ci, this is the mango cake I made for you this morning when I went to the kitchen. You can taste it. I changed a few ingredients so that it doesn’t taste sweet or greasy.” Su Yue’s voice was originally very nice, but she had purposefully softened it, making it so gentle that it could drip out of water.

Jiang Ci thought Su Yue had apologized for what had happened the night before, so he raised his eyebrows and ate the cake.

“Hao Hao wants to eat as well.”

Jiang Haoyan spoke in a babyish tone. Jiang Haoyan’s fear and disgust for Su Yue had greatly decreased after yesterday’s swinging. He opened his big eyes and looked at Su Yue.

“This is yours. Children can’t eat too many sweets or it will cause their teeth to decay.” Su Yue handed him the one that had already been prepared for the little guy. It was only a small piece, but it was very delicate and beautiful. The cake was not only covered with thick mango sauce, but also two small red strawberries. It was very cute.

Jiang Haoyan’s eyes brightened, and his chubby hand couldn’t wait to grab the cake in front of him, and he began to eat breakfast with happiness.

Su Yue had previously requested that all of the flowers in the back garden be removed and bamboo be planted in their place. The workers are extremely efficient at their jobs. A small artificial bamboo forest appeared in just three days. It’s early summer, so the sun won’t be too hot. It’s most relaxing to sit in the bamboo forest and listen to the wind blowing the bamboo leaves.

Su Yue stopped Jiang Ci, who wanted to sit in the dark study room, after breakfast.

“Jiang Ci, I asked everyone to get rid of all the flowers in the back garden. You don’t have to stay inside all day; you can go for a walk.” Su Yue smiled as she said this.

There was a pause at Jiang Yi’s feet, and he looked surprised, “You plucked all the flowers?”

Su Yue nodded; she had spent so much time for him; was he moved now?

In the next split second, she only saw Jiang Ci’s thin lips lift up, gleefully smiling “Do you know who planted those flowers? Song Xiaoqing. Do you think she’ll be angry with you if she finds out you plucked all her flowers?” He knows Su Yue has always tried to please Song Xiaoqing, and now that she knows she did such a stupid thing, she’ll jump, right?

Su Yue was taken aback; she had no idea. However, the expression on this man’s face, as if he’s watching a good show, is far too hateful.

Wasn’t it for him that she did it?

Su Yue glared at him angrily, her cheeks slightly bulging “I have no idea! You’re happy that I’ll get scolded?”

“It’s okay,” Jiang Ci said cheerfully.

“It’s too late to say anything now that the flowers have been removed.” Even if she was aware, she continued to do it. Su Yue extended her hand directly, and instead of grabbing Jiang Ci’s hand, she grabbed his arm and pulled him out. “Anyway, I’ll be scolded, and I can’t do meaningless work.”

Jiang Ci is a big and tall man, but he was caught off guard by Su Yue and staggered for a moment, his voice irritated. “Let go!”

“Jiang Ci, you’re afraid of scaring others with your appearance, so you hide in your house all day, don’t you?” Su Yue continued walking, dragging Jiang Yi down the stairs, unconcerned that he would be angry.

“Hmph, don’t use aggressive approach on me; they’re pointless and will only make you look stupid.” Jiang Ci’s words were bitter.

Su Yue was so furious that she threw his hand away; she shouldn’t get involved in his personal affairs.

Jiang Ci raised his lips and smiled, sensing Su Yue’s annoyance, and said, “However, I want to go out for a walk again.” Following that, he held the stairwell’s handrail and walked down one step at a time.

Su Yue bit her lower lip, thinking, such a gloomy guy, she shouldn’t bother with him.

Jiang Haoyan was swinging Xiang Cai in front of the Western building when he saw Jiang Ci come out of the house, the little one’s eyes widening, “Daddy.” He carried Xiang Cai down and then ran up to Jiang Ci, pulling at the hem of his shirt, “Daddy?”

“Hmm.”

“Little Hao Hao, I’ll take your father out to get some air. ”

Su Yue also grabbed Jiang Ci’s coat hem and dragged him under the pavilion. Inside, there are two long reclining chairs made of emerald green bamboo that are topped with two net-colored pillows. A round table made of emerald bamboo was placed next to the long reclining chairs. The workers were skilled at their business and created both the chairs and the table in a stylish manner.

Listening to the sound of bamboo while reclining in a chair is extremely relaxing.

Su Yue sat Jiang Ci down on the bench and intimately adjusted the pillow for him. “Wait a second.” She dashed back into the room, and not long after that, she was holding a tray.

There was a pot of tea, a plate of fruit, and a book on it.

Su Yue sat in another chair as well. “Shall we study for your father?” she coaxed softly as she picked up Jiang Haoyan and sat on her lap.

Jiang Haoyan didn’t want to be hugged by Su Yue. He struggled with his chubby body but calmed down after hearing Su Yue’s words. His small ears were crimson. He couldn’t recall being a baby but seems that he has not been hugged by adults, and even his father has not hugged him.

Su Yue looked at the little guy’s pouting mouth, twisted tangled brows, and his hesitant, but obedient expression. “When you’re done eating, take another yourself,” she said, taking a piece of iced watermelon and placing it in his chubby hand.

Jiang Haoyan obediently nestled in Su Yue’s arms, biting the watermelon with his big eyes lit up.

Su Yue took a book from Jiang Ci’s study and opened it casually. She cast a glance at Jiang Ci, who was leaning against a chair. The sunlight filtered through the bamboo and hit his face. The scars on his face became more visible in the bright light.

Su Yue didn’t think it was ugly in the least. She’d met a lot of beautiful people, but underneath their skin and bones were ugly and evil faces.

“I didn’t expect you to read such a book, Jiang Ci.” Su Yue smiled as she looked at the book’s title.

“These are not my books.” Jiang Ci’s eyelids were shut, and his voice was sluggish. Perhaps it’s been too long since he’s soaked up the rays, resulting in a very pale complexion on his face.

That’s right, Jiang Ci moved to the Western building after going blind. Su Yue casually opened a page and began reading the book’s contents.

Su Yue’s voice is lovely, soft and spoken in undertones, and it is especially clear in the bamboo forest, where the breeze blows quietly. She was also an actress, and her public speaking skills are excellent. She gets very emotional when she reads a book.

The breeze blew lightly, sending her low, soft voice into Jiang Ci’s ears, almost as if she were whispering to him.

Jiang Haoyan, the little guy, couldn’t understand what Su Yue read, but that didn’t stop him from listening. His white cheeks were bulging as he bit into a watermelon. He smiled happily glancing at Jiang Ci and Su Yue, his big eyes squinting.

Jiang Mu Hang took a step onto the bamboo forest trail. He’d also heard Su Yue, the woman, was planning to remove the famous flowers from the back garden and replace them with bamboo. He frowned, thinking she had no idea what she was doing. When he was about to approach the Western building, he was interrupted by a woman’s clear and soft voice reading aloud, and he paused and looked towards the pavilion.

He noticed his eldest brother lying on the bamboo chair, the corners of his lips hooked slightly. Su Yue was reading next to him, holding the child and a book.

For a brief moment, Jiang Mu Hang was stunned; such a scene made him feel incredible. He walked towards the pavilion, his eyes narrowed.

“Big brother.”

Su Yue’s reading was interrupted by Jiang Mu Hang’s low voice. He moved away after looking down at Su Yue. He wondered if it was a trick of the light, but he thought this woman was slimmer.

“Grandpa has asked me to ask you how you want to celebrate your birthday next month?”

“Do you really want to help me celebrate?” Jiang Ci asked, opening his eyes and twitching the corners of his mouth.

Something flashed across Jiang Mu Hang’s eyes. “Of course,” she says.

“You’re not afraid to let strangers laugh because I look like this?” Jiang Ci’s face was cold and drained of energy “Forget it, I am not a fool, disgusted with me for losing face. There is no need to pretend. I’m too lazy to interact with others.”

“I know what big brother means.” Jiang Mu Hang didn’t mind Jiang Ci’s indifference; he looked at the humble small western-style building, then at the fat and ugly Su Yue, and continued to speak: “If you need anything, please let me know, big brother.” He then walked away.

“Continue reading! Jiang Mu Hang was here, are you fascinated?” Jiang Ci waited for Su Yue’s voice but couldn’t hear it. “Does Jiang Mu Hang look as good as I do?” he sneered.

The next second, Jiang Ci realized his face was ruined, and he snorted disdainfully, becoming irritated.

Su Yue stared at Jiang Ci in disbelief, and when the bell rang in her head, she immediately coaxed, “Jiang Mu Hang isn’t as good-looking as you.”

Jiang Ci wanted to criticise her, don’t think he hadn’t heard her praise Jiang Mu Hang for being handsome, but Su Yue said seriously the next second: “His nose is not as straight as yours, his eyes are not as beautiful as yours, and his chin is not as perfect as yours.”

“Jiang Ci, you’re much more attractive than Jiang Mu Hang.”

“Dad looks good,” said little Hao Hao beside him.

“Angry value: 0.”

“Boring,” Jiang Ci grumbled coldly. But there was a glimmer of joy on his face.
