I Reincarnated as a Shinai

Stasis looked at the Dark Elf Assassin in front of him. 

Although the Assassin doesn't have a huge build, Stasis somehow felt that he was facing the four Sword Instructors of their Master Reiji when they were still at Bhibra Village.

This is why he had to take this seriously or he wouldn't know how he lost his head. 

"Vinete, stay behind me for now and support me if needed. I'd like to face this guy alone." Stasis spoke as held his sword.

"Alright, however, I will surely help you if I think that you're losing."

"Well, that's reassuring…"

Stasis smiled while slowly stepping forward.

Ayumi-Ashi.

This is the basic footwork of Kendo and he's doing this while not breaking his stance. 

Right now, his Zangetsu no Kamae or Crescent Moon Stance of Nitouryuu is very stable as he readies himself from being attacked.

Apparently, he felt that this person is faster than him so he decided to use this Defensive Stance for now. However, he's confident that as long as the opponent is within his range, he would be able to surprise him. 

He no longer relies on just his Kendo Techniques after all. His Epic Arcana contains a total of 6 skills and with a few of them, he's confident that he would be able to harm this First-Class Dark Elf.

"Hahaha! I like that confidence! Make sure to entertain me!" The Dark Elf seems to be very happy seeing how his opponent didn't get scared of him. 

Clang!

A clash of dagger and sword was heard within the room and created a shockwave!

The Assassin just vanished in their sight and reappeared in front of Stasis! It happened so fast but the latter was prepared! 

Aside from defending from that strike, Stasis activated one of the skills of the Sword called Echo Slash!

This ability helps him destroy the opponent's weapon a lot faster so Stasis really likes this skill when dealing against another weapon user.

Aside from that, it doesn't consume a lot of energy as well and he could repeatedly use Arcana's ability. 

Boom!

The clash of sword and dagger happened several times as the two's attacks became faster and faster. Even Luoyang, the Taichi Sword was impressed by the scene. 

'To think that such a great swordsman was taught by a Sentient Arcana… This Reiji really deserves to be a blessed Arcana. I wonder which Deity does he serve…' 

Luoyang mused as he readied himself in case he needed to interfere. After all, he can feel the great difference between the two's Spiritual Energy. 

It can be said Stasis' Spiritual Energy is not even half of this Dark Elf Assassin. The Elf may not have an explosive technique that could one-hit kill Stasis, he greatly compensated it with incredible and stable speed. 

If Stasis even made even a single miscalculation, it wouldn't end well for him so Luoyang needed to support him at all costs.

While this is all happening, Vinete started looking around as she thought that she might be able to use the surroundings to their advantage. 

The room is actually quite dark but because of their imp bloodline, they had no issues at this as she could see the large room clearly. 

Aside from their Master Reiji that is bounded by a mysterious chain, She realized that there are actually several humans gagged and chained as well!

'Wait… Isn't that the robe of the Kingdom's Arcanist Tower?'

Vinete froze as soon as she saw 10 or so Arcanists from the Tower. Although she has been living in this chaotic land all her life, she had mentors and elders in the village teaching them about the outside world.

She knows that one of the major power in the Chodora Kingdom is the Arcanist Tower. She recognized their Arcanist Robes since they are people that they should be avoiding since they have great malice against their half-breeds like them. 

Boom!

Her thoughts were interrupted as a huge shockwave suddenly occurred within the room.

Apparently, Luoyang decided to join the battle after Stasis activated his Sword Aura and Bloodlust.

It appears that Stasis' Sword Aura resonated perfectly with the Taichi Sword and it made the Sentient Arcana a lot stronger. 

Because of that, it appears that Stasis suddenly has three swords filling a huge gap between their strength…

"Gahaha! This is much better! You guys are good! Entertain me more! If you can injure me even a little bit, I will replace one of those guys and I'll gladly turn you into a Sentient Arcana!"

The Dark Elf laughed seeing how Stasis is resisting him. Stasis didn't understand his words but Vinete had a bad feeling as soon as she heard him. 

"Turn into a Sentient Arcana?"

Vinete muttered as she looked at the Dark Elf then at the human Arcanists.  She then noticed that the chained Arcanists at the corner of the room actually had Arcana, or perhaps objects that appear to be Arcana, tied beside them.

She immediately had an idea but she shook her head thinking that it shouldn't be like that all. 

"What do you mean turning me into Sentient Arcana? Are you crazy?"

Stasis suddenly said as he backed away. He wanted to activate the Ice and Fire Burst but it requires 5 to 10 seconds of casting time so he had to buy some time. 

Luckily, the Dark Elf didn't mind it at all and answered.

"Haha… Look around you. You see, we just received a batch of elite Arcanists from the Tower and we're about to turn them into a Sentient Arcana but here you are, trying to stop us. Are you not here to save these people? Unfortunately, not only will you be able to save them… You will be joining them… Hahaha!"

The Dark Elf laughed as he suddenly turned into a shadow. 

"Be careful…" Luoyang interrupted as the sentient sword suddenly struck the shadow on the ground.

Clank!

"Too late!"

The Dark Elf assassin suddenly reappeared behind Stasis. However, instead of striking his body, the Dark Elf targeted Stasis' shadow!
