Supporting High School Student is Late

With the weekdays behind me, I woke up at the usual time on Saturday which is the day for my shooting session and the first day of summer vacation. The shooting planned today will take place outside for the first time in a while.

Looking out the window, I saw the sky covered in clouds and it looked like it was about to rain. The clothes I’m going to wear today are not going to be swimsuits but those casual clothes that would look comfortable to wear when you go to the sea. Because of that, it shouldn’t be a problem even if it rains a little today.

For the time being, I have instant miso soup and a fried egg for breakfast then watch the news with a cup of coffee.

“Ahh…..it might rain in the afternoon huh. Should I bring an umbrella to the shoot today……”

In general, I hate rainy days. Rain on a shooting day is one thing but what I especially hate is when my long hair sticks into my eyes when I get wet.

Well, it’s normal to get wet when it rains on weekdays since I would have to leave my place early to head to school and I can’t check the weather forecast before leaving my house. With that being the case, I rarely get wet on Saturdays and Sundays where I can get up late like this.

Still, the weather forecast can sometimes be unreliable. Besides, if it looks like it’s going to rain on weekdays, I usually carry my umbrella with me.

When I was watching TV, a message came through on my phone. Wondering what it is, I checked the phone and found out that the message came from my manager.

“Nn? Let’s see? About today’s shoot huh. Ah, ‘we have to move up the schedule’—wait! I’ve to go now!”

I hurriedly changed my clothes and started preparing myself. I don’t really have to bring many things to the shoot but I have to set my hair first.

I stood in front of the mirror and set my hair in a hurry. If it’s an indoor shooting then I can go without setting my hair first but if it’s outdoor then it’s definitely a necessity.

I don’t know how they got the information but every time I have to shoot outdoors, there are always fans waiting at the venue before the shooting itself even starts. Also, I don’t know if they share it on SNS but the onlookers would just keep increasing as the shoot went on.

I can’t let anyone know that Kamishiro Kousei is Hiura Seiya. That’s why I have to get there with my hair properly set just in case.

It’s a little rougher than usual but it will have to do. I left my place after I set my hair and head straight to the shooting location as fast as possible.

Still, it seems that I was a little late and Suzuka along with the staff were already waiting for me at the site.

“Sorry, I’m late!”

“Oh, Kousei-kun, you finally came. Well, I’ve been late to contact you so I guess that can’t be helped.”

“You’re late Seiya-kun! I’m all ready, you know!”

“My bad! I will go change my clothes! Wait a minute!”

I immediately headed to the make-up artist. I still haven’t changed into the clothes for today’s shoot yet and although I did set my hair, I can’t say that my hair’s done well at all.

In my current state, I look somewhere between Hiura Seiya and Kamishiro Kousei but thanks to the fact that my hair was done up and doesn’t block my eyes, I could still be seen as Kamishiro Kousei for the time being.

“Hello. Excuse me.”

“Oh, Kousei-kun, come on in! It seems that the other staff saw the rain forecast so they moved up the schedule today.”

“That’s the reason after all? I came in a hurry because I got the message that the schedule was moved up while I was having my breakfast you know.”

“That being said…..since it’s about 10 am already, you sure have a late breakfast today don’t you. Are you sure that you get enough sleep? Lack of sleep is the number one enemy of healthy skin you know.”

“Please don’t worry. I always have plenty of sleep time.”

My lifestyle is one where I am always up early on weekdays but late on holidays. That being said, I always go to bed at the same time.

During winter, it always so cold that I don’t want to leave my futon so I usually get up late but I also like spending my time in bed in summer so I get up late on holidays during summer too.

The moment where you can’t separate the dream world from reality is my favorite so I often just fall back to sleep in that state.

“Then let’s get changed, shall we. The theme today is the sea right?”

“Yes. It seems that they design the clothes today to be worn on top of swimsuits.

“I see, I see………then I will set the hair for you later. For the time being, go change your clothes okay.”

I entered the fitting room. The outfit today was designed for sea and pool outings so it has a zipper in front so you can take it off easily.

With this design, it should prevent your body from getting cold after you got into the water and you should be able to easily change into it as well.

Apparently, they designed it to be worn with swimsuits but it seems that wearing short sleeves clothes inside should be fine as well. 

After I finished changing, I left the fitting room.

“Alright, I’m going to straighten your hair so stay still okay.”

“Yes, please.”

“You looked weird today because you only applied the wax on the surface you know. You must have come here in a hurry.”

“Y, yes…..”

Certainly, I was in a hurry this morning but I didn’t think that it would look obvious. Next time I should make sure that I can get to the shoot with time to spare.

“Alright! All set. You are good to go.”

“Thank you very much, I’m off.”

When I went outside, Suzuka was already waiting for me in front of the camera.
