CHAPTER 128: POSITION REVERSAL

~3rd Person Perspective~

“Graf!” (Aaron)

“Roger!” (Graf)

Aaron and Graf noticed Lily’s change and immediately began to move.

Aaron slashed at Amy with all his strength. Even if he cut off her limbs, as long as her life is safe, it is fine.

Even if it means cutting off her limbs, she will pay for her crime while she is still alive.

Aaron swung his sword and cut off Amy’s arm. Graf strikes Amy in the face with his iron fist.

 –Bam!

 Graf’s attack shook the air.

Amy’s body danced in the air.

She spun three times in the air before falling.

It rolled five more times and stopped.

“Graf… you didn’t kill her, right?” (Aaron)

“Uh… Ma-maybe.” (Graf)

It seems that Graf went a little too far, probably because he had quite a strong feeling for the culprit.

If Aaron didn’t have his position, he too might have gone too far, as Graf did. Even now, he wants to let his anger roar and cut her up. However, if the killer dies, the case cannot be solved.

Was she working alone, was there an organization behind her, and why did she want to destroy Finlis? There are so many questions they need to ask.

“I’m going to look for someone who can use recovery techniques. Graf, please keep an eye on things.” (Aaron)

“I-I’m sorry. Understood.” (Graf)

Just as Aron was about to turn on his heel, he heard a voice saying,

“Oh dear, how terrible. Two old men teaming up and roughing up a pretty young lady.” (Amy)

Aaron’s spine shuddered when he heard the same tension-free voice as before.

Aaron dropped Amy’s arm. Graf hit her in the face as hard as he could. For both humans and monsters, the damage inflicted is fatal. And yet, Amy’s voice was the same as ever.

 Fearfully, Aaron looked back.

“… what!?” (Aaron)

When he looked back, he saw Amy, who was exactly the same as before. The arm that was cut off, the face that was beaten, not a scratch on it.

“A full recovery… impossible!” (Aaron)

Aaron was shocked to his core.

The Bloody Saint Luka was an adventurer who could use the healing arts. Naturally, she was also able to use a high-level technique to attach a severed arm to a body.

In other words, Amy used Luka’s ability to completely heal herself.

(But it is not a technique that can be used that many times.) (Aaron)

The high-level restorative arts can restore amputated limbs, but the amount of magic power used is enormous. A normal person would run out of magic power after using it two or three times.

(If we keep attacking, we will see a chance of winning.) (Aaron)

It’s okay. They can keep going. Aaron signaled to Graf with his eyes.

They synchronized their breathing and both jumped at the same time. Aaron raised his sword and slash at Amy.

“Shaaa!!” (Aaron)

“Aaah!” (Graf)

The attack was just barely avoided this time. However, he immediately swung his sword at her flank.

 That’s when it happened.

“—What!?” (Aaron)

When Aaron tried to slash back, his sword slipped out of my hand.

It was the worst mistake he ever made. As a former A-rank adventurer, this is unthinkable. Aaron was stunned by this mistake, as if he were a beginner in swordsmanship. While he was stunned, Amy struck back.

“I’m here to return the favor.” (Luka)

“—gah!!” (Aaron)

Aaron’s shoulder is hit by the rapier.

 He immediately backsteps.

The tip of the rapier slightly pierced his shoulder, but fortunately it did not penetrate.

“Ahh, I thought it went completely in. Is my rapier skill too low?” (Amy)

“–raaaah!” (Graf)

Graf attacked Amy from behind, as she was in a defenseless-looking stance as she had swung her sword.

 Graf’s fist was stopped.

“How slow. You’re making me sleepy.” (Amy)

“What the—!?” (Graf)

Stopped by Amy’s hand. Astonishment appears on Graf’s face.

“Now, let me return what I owe.” (Amy)

“Gaa!!” (Graf)

Amy kicked him in the head that was sent flying backward.

Graf is okay. He was sent flying by the recoil of the kick, but he quickly adjusted his stance.

Earlier, Aaron and the others had completely overwhelmed Amy. Despite this, this time they are the ones overwhelmed.

(Perhaps she was hiding her strength?) (Aaron)

Aaron thought about the possibility for a moment and denied it. Amy’s movements were no different from before. She is not quicker, nor has her power increased.

Aaron managed to avoid Amy’s attack, and Graf, who was hit hard by the attack, did not suffer much damage. If she had the power to overwhelm both of them, there was no way that Aaron’s team would have suffered only this much damage.

(What the hell is going on?) (Aaron)

Aaron racked his brain frantically. But Amy did not wait for him until he had an answer.

“Well, well, well. Until ‘he’ comes back, I’m going to have to ask you to help me improve my skills with the ‘Rapier’.” (Amy)

“……he?” (Aaron)

“Here I go.” (Amy)

Without answering Aaron’s question, Amy raised her sword.
