Lady Spring

Chapter 3.1

When she opened her eyes in the morning, her entire body ached as if she was beaten. She felt terribly cold except for her back for some reason. Did the blanket get bunched up behind her? With a frown, Saeun reached behind her in search of her blanket, but instead, she felt something large and hard.

What is this?

It felt like a long hard can wrapped in fabric…

“Hey, hey! Looking for ‘that’ first thing in the morning… That’s risky.”

A man’s voice made her eyes widen. What… What was going on? A man in her bed…

Oh no… It was Min Wooyoung.

Saeun blushed as she began to remember. The sun shined brightly through the curtains as she suddenly yelled, “Oh no! What time is it?”

She stood up quickly, but as soon as she realized she was naked, she grabbed the blanket to cover herself. Unfortunately, most of the blanket was trapped underneath Wooyoung. The most she could cover were between her legs while using her arms to hide her breasts.

In the broad daylight, Wooyoung looked much better. One of his eyes was bruising black and blue while his lips were swollen and scabbed, but the overall swelling has improved since last night. But he had bed hair and his bare chest showed several bruises. It looked like there was even a stab wound on his rib area.

“That wound…”

Oh no. She should’ve focused on his upper body wounds, but her eyes betrayed her and looked lower. The ill-fitting sweatpants were pushed down, and she could see a glimpse of his…

She couldn’t stop herself from blushing. She covered her face with her hands, but when she realized her breasts were now bare, Saeun looked around in panic. Wooyoung chuckled.

“You’re the one who made me hard this morning, so why are you blushing? Just give me some time and it will calm down. Don’t make me feel so bad about it, okay?”

“I… The thing is… W…what time is it now? I need to get to work. My work…”

“It’s 8:30 a.m.”

Saeun gasped in shock. Omg. There was no way she could get to work in 30 minutes, especially since she still needed to shower, get dressed, and put on her makeup. But more importantly now, how was she  going to get to the bathroom? He was lying on top of the blanket…

In the end, Saeun used all of her strength to pull the blanket from underneath him. Wooyoung rolled down the bed with a loud groan, but she kept herself busy wrapping her naked body with the blanket. Wooyoung glared at her.

“I slaved myself for you, yet this is how you treat me? This isn’t fair. My waist still hurts and my shoulders are aching…”

Without answering, Saeun began to run to the bathroom before hastily returning to get a change of clothes. She could hear Wooyoung laughing behind her.

After closing the bathroom door, she leaned against it and sighed deeply. Dammit… The area between her legs still stung. The memories of last night were all coming back to her too clearly. Her face refused to cool down. What has she done? She couldn’t understand how it had all happened.

Even more shocking, Saeun couldn’t figure out why she didn’t stop him.

“I must’ve lost my mind. Oh gosh… What will I do now?”

She didn’t feel like she could leave the bathroom. She sat down on the floor for a long time before folding and placing the blanket on top of the toilet cover. After pushing away the shower curtain, she began to wash herself. Her skin still felt too sensitive so every time she rubbed it, her lower belly flinched. She didn’t even dare to wash between her legs. Just the stream of water in that area made her moan.

After managing to wash herself clean and put on new clothes, Saeun hesitated for another five minutes before finally leaving the bathroom. But as soon as she spotted the back of the large figure doing something in her tiny kitchen, she froze.

“You took long enough. Here, hurry up and have some breakfast. I made it for you.”

Saeun’s eyes darted to her dining table. There was a plate filled with four pieces of toast, strawberry jam, and a fried egg.

“Umm… You didn’t have to do that. I could’ve…”

“But you said you were late.”

Oh. Saeun looked at the clock and sighed. She was already late, so what did it matter? There was no avoiding being reprimanded at work today, so another 10 minutes wasn’t going to make a difference. She chewed on a piece of toast for a minute, before putting it back down. Wooyoung watched her cautiously and asked,

“What’s wrong? You don’t like it?”

“Hmm? No, it’s not that. I think I need to put on my makeup and get going. I’m really late already.”

She began to walk towards her room when suddenly, she stopped and turned around. Wooyoung was putting a generous amount of strawberry jam on his toast.

“Umm, hey… What are your plans today?”

Wooyoung glanced up at her. Because of the wounds on his face, it was unlikely anyone was going to recognize him, but one never knew. However, he didn’t go home last night, so there must’ve been people who were worried about him. Shouldn’t he go back now?

To her surprise, Wooyoung shrugged and took a bite of his toast. He murmured,

“Can’t I stay here a while longer? If I get caught by a reporter looking like this, I’m gonna be in trouble.”

That made sense, but shouldn’t he have thought of that before getting into a fight yesterday? She thought about pointing this out, but sighed instead. She supposed it wasn’t a big deal for him to stay a few hours longer if he wanted.

“Alright, then when you leave, you can use this spare key to lock behind you, okay? And you can drop it in my mailbox afterward.”

“I won’t be leaving today. I don’t have any money.”

Wooyoung smirked, making Saeun frown.

“You don’t have any money?”

“I think I dropped my wallet during the fight yesterday. I have absolutely no money. Not a single dollar.”

“Then you should call someone to pick you up here. Or do you want some money for the cab? I can…”

“It’s alright. I won’t be going anywhere until you return today, so have a nice day at work.”
