Roy's wife and subordinate were next to the portal, patiently waiting for him. He smiled, seeing her hanging from Tevenlor's shoulder like a rice bag.

The Formless Siren was too stubborn and didn't want to leave the ancestral land of the dragonkin without him. When she broke down into tears, Tevenlor gave up on dragging her out of this place without Roy. That cheered her up and seeing her husband overcome the evil hexes easily made her fall in love with him all over again.

"My husband's too strong!" She exclaimed, her heart going bathump bathump and her hands stretching towards Roy. She wanted to embrace him and would have jumped towards him if she wasn't being held captive by Tevenlor.

Strong men were what sirens liked, and she was no different, not to mention, he was her fated.

'I said the same thing about him. I told her we had nothing to worry about. He is too strong and can take care of them. But she refused to listen and forced us to wait for him.'

Tevenlor thought and, unable to help it, compared himself and his adoptive niece to Roy.

'He isn't a baby. Well, technically, he is a baby Dragon.' Tevenlor's eyes glistened. 'But he doesn't need our care. If there's someone who needs it, it's us.'

Suddenly, he and the Female Siren heard Roy's voice.

"Don't stop. Take her out of here!" Roy shouted to the people who were waiting for him next to the portal. "I will be right behind you."

He smiled at them confidently.

However, internally, he wasn't confident about leaving this place in one piece.

He has covered 2-3rd of the distance between him and the portal.

It was too close to him. He would reach it in 10-15 seconds. But he could feel immense energy fluctuations below him, and his sixth sense was tingling, continuously reminding him that immense danger, which could threaten his life, was approaching.

He didn't know what it was, but he at least wanted them to use this window to get out of there.

"Okay."

Completely unaware of his intention, Tevenlor agreed with him.

The Female Siren, too, didn't voice out any objection as she believed that nothing was going to stop him. After all, he was only 800 meters away from the portal and flying towards it very fast.

"See you on the other side."

They waved at him and stepped into the portal, getting teleported to the Ashen Mountain.

『Ding! Congratulations. Tevenlor and the Female Siren have successfully escaped from Voss. They have been teleported to the Ashen Mountain.』

The system notified Roy.

By then, Roy, too, was close to escaping.

"Finally, I will be getting out of this hellhole," Roy said after he had brought himself extremely close to the portal by rapidly flapping his wings.

"Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

The many parts of the evil hexes' carcasses that were scattered throughout the cave suddenly hovered above the ground and instantly gathered at one spot in mid-air, magically transforming into an avatar of Voss in the blink of an eye.

This avatar of Voss looked similar to a skull with an eerie glow in its eyes socket, and two 10-meter-long hands floated beside it. If one were to look closely at it, one would realize that the hands were connected to the sides of the skull by thin strands of white flesh and countless veins.

"Now that I am here, just give up your life obediently!" Voss glared at Roy, cursing him. "Stay!"

Roy broke down in cold sweat as, with just a word, Voss forcefully halted him in the middle of the flight.

"I knew he was strong. But isn't this just too ridiculous?"

Roy's eyes widened, sweat trickling down the sides of his face.

Of all the power one could have, Voss has the power to make whatever he said become true at a certain cost.

If it were something else, Roy would have long flown away.

But now, he was like a rat trapped in a cage, unable to move or budge and at the mercy of his captor.

"Just like a rat..."

Voss smiled, seeing him struggling to break free.

"A mortal can't defy a god. I don't know what gave you the guts to pick a fight with me, but you messed up big time. You aren't Yulran, and even if you were, I wouldn't have backed down. There's only one path left for you. You will be that bitch substitute."

"Your bloodline is the second best I have seen in the past 500 years. You know what? I am not even angry anymore after taking a good look at you. I desire nothing more than corrupting your soul and breaking down your mind in order to become your God."

"Once you become my puppet, it will be easy to withdraw your blood and feed you. A few thousand cups of your blood will upgrade me to the point where I would be able to escape the seal. After that, I will destroy your mortal body and confine your soul. You will be tormented for eternity. Isn't that a fitting punishment for one such as you who have offended a God?!"

Voss spoke, his voice ringing in Roy's mind like bells in a temple.

By then, by using all the strength he could muster, Roy had regained control over his arms. Hearing his words, Roy felt disgusted, and he could feel his scorching gaze on him.

"The only thing you are getting from me is this!"

Roy extended a middle finger toward Voss, angering him even further to the point where his eyes twitched continuously.

"Fall!"

Voss opened his palm and cursed Roy again.

VROOOM!

Voss's second curse came into play immediately. A miniature black hole appeared in the center of his palm. It released an immense suction force, which acted on Roy, pulling him downward.

He was like a man jumping down from a skyscraper and straight towards his death as he dropped toward Voss against his will.
