"Why are you smiling to yourself? If you have good news, then share it." Han Lili walks into the office and takes a seat right in front of her brother. "Get ready because we're going out for brunch in about half an hour."

Han Yuan raises a brow. "When did I agree to have brunch with you?"

Hearing his rebuttal, Han Lili's expression turns sour. "You think I want to eat with a boring person like you? Mom and dad are the ones arranging this. They have important things to discuss with us."

Han Yuan pauses for a moment before nodding his head. "Good, I have things I need to tell them too."

.....

Inside a private room in a grand restaurant, Liu Yumei stares at her phone while sitting next to her husband.

"Look, just look how cute my grandson is." She says while shoving the phone in Han Haoran's face.

"I can't wait to squeeze his cheeks. Lili, that goat only sent me two pictures of him and she didn't even bring him over."

Han Haoran pats his wife's back. "It's alright darling, you will get to meet him eventually."

She pouts in response. "I want to meet him now. It's all your son's fault. Why didn't he propose to the girl four years ago?"

"She was nineteen."

Liu Yumei turns furious at his reply. "So he can sleep with her, but not put a ring on her? What dog logic! If they were engaged, do you think she would have left her fiance?"

Han Haoran shrinks back while she continues to mutter angry words under her breath.

About thirty minutes later, Han Lili and Han Yuan walk into the private room. Liu Yumei is fuming while texting on her phone and Han Haoran is sitting meekly in a corner.

"What happened to you two?"

"Nothing dear, just have a seat."

Han Haoran puts away his previously humbled appearance. "We called you both here to discuss the future of our Han Group."

Liu Yumei nods her head while he continues. "Yuan, your mother and I have set an ultimatum. If you don't get engaged within a year, then you will no longer be the heir."

Han Yuan pauses for a while before replying to them. "I already have a woman that I want to get married to."

"So then why don't you bring her over. Let's meet her."

"I will, but I need you to know that it will be her or no one else. I don't care if you agree, she's the woman I want to marry."

"Why are you warning us? What makes you think we won't agree?"

"She has a child."
