Cade blurted out a plan that he hadn’t expected to present until long after.

“You’re hesitating. If we combine our bedrooms all together, there won’t be this much trouble.”

“Bedrooms?”

“We can talk about our daily routines before going to bed. You can ask me everything you’re curious about, and I can ask you about your day. What do you think?”

Cherryl’s gaze couldn’t stay in one place for they wandered in all directions.

“I don’t think you’re suggestion is bad but——”

“All right. After the wedding, let’s bring our bedrooms close to each other as soon as possible. Lastly, there is an empty master’s bedroom on the same floor as the office, so we can use it as a couple’s bedroom. We’ll call a designer from the city, so you can decorate it as you like. What do you think?”

Like a man who had planned this for a very long time, Cade offered without tripping over his words.

Blinking fast, Cherryl suddenly recalled her new bedroom in the main castle.

That bedroom was warm and cozy and it didn’t match Carlsvik’s vibe at all.

She hadn’t even slept there yet for the two weeks she had been living here.

“What should I do with my new bedroom?”

“You can keep the room as it is, but use it as a place for storing your luggage. If you want, you can do your morning grooming there.”

Cherryl rolled her head again, recalling the beautiful bedroom that might turn into a warehouse.

She wasn’t just reluctant to share a bedroom with him, but her unprepared mind was naturally looking for excuses.

She remembered the morning when she had almost been kicked out of Cade’s bedroom.

“What if you kick me out like last time, Your Grace? I’d be in trouble every morning and if something happened like that again, I’d rather——-”

Unable to say that it was better to use each of their own rooms, Cherryl fiddled with her earlobes as her fluffy white cheeks were tinged with a nice flush.

Even though he knew she was searching for excuses just to avoid bringing their bedrooms together, Cade carried out his own will.

“I will not disrespect you like that anymore.”

To control his lust, he would have plenty of anti-aphrodisiac potions in a few weeks so he planned to double his doses.

His proposal about combining their bedrooms as soon as the wedding was over had stemmed from annoyance but enough preparation had been made.

“If you want to, you can touch me as much as you want.”

“What did you just say?”

“You said that yourself, Cherryl. You furiously asked me if you could only touch me if permitted. Now, I have given you that permission to touch me as much as you want.”

“No. I-I didn’t m-mean it like that at the time!” Cherryl stuttered as shame caused both of her cheeks to heat up.

Cade himself stroked Cherryl’s arms with his hands whenever he felt like it and she only fired back at him out of disappointment for daring to nag when her mere fingertips touched him.

She didn’t mean to do anything more than that.

“Boss!”

Suddenly, she heard someone shouting downstairs and she looked reflexively under the railing.

It wasn’t possible to check the face of the person who just shouted, but she knew it was Cade’s subordinate.

“You should read this!”

The husky voice from the first floor was so loud it reached the third floor.

An important letter that needed immediate confirmation seemed to have arrived.

“Something must have happened. I have to get going.”

Cade stood up and beckoned to Cherryl.

“Come here.”

Cherryl pushed the chair along and got up to approach him.

Cade stretched out his arms and wrapped them around Cherryl’s waist, pulling him toward her.

Her slender body, trapped in his left arm, slightly reeled.

Before she realized that the distance between them had narrowed, Cade bent his upper body to press his lips on Cherryl’s cheek.

There was an abrupt, frictional sound when it touched and fell on her smooth skin.

He stroked Cherryl’s chin with his thumb before raising her head high to meet her gaze.

“I unintentionally interrupted your research, Lady Cherryl. The intruder and I will go now, so finish your quest of the human body.”

“What do you mean? You didn’t interrupt anything. And I’m not going to research about the human body anymore——”

“Well, you won’t really have to study it because I’m here.” Cade added and kissed her cheek again.

Twice.

Three times.

The gentle kisses along with his warm body temperature made her flush.

As he hugged her, Cade didn’t withdraw immediately and continued to leave brief, wet kisses like a bird pecking at her with its beak.

Cherryl’s hands leaped on his broad shoulders when she received another kiss on the cheek and chin.

“What do you mean by that, Your Grace?”

From earlier on, what Cade was saying about the book in question seemed to be exquisitely cryptic when he only saw the back cover of a book turned upside-down.

If it wasn’t for its explicit title, it was simply a book of ordinary appearance that Cherryl couldn’t find anything unusual.

No matter how long Cade spent time in this magnificent library, he couldn’t have grasped the appearance of countless books.

Therefore, his comment had to be useless.

Cherryl grabbed him by the collar without realizing it and a low laugh spread through her ear.

“I want to stay a little longer, but I have to go now.”

Cade, who said it playfully, pulled away from her.

“Ah.”

“You don’t have to follow me.”

Cade stopped Cherryl, who often followed his steps to see him off.

Cherryl smiled awkwardly and waved her hand.

“See you later.”

He kissed her like a man who was sad and regretful to say goodbye before he went down the stairs without looking back.

Cherryl, who was chasing his afterimage disappearing like the wind, suddenly felt a sign of activity.

Lucy, who was embracing a book on the opposite stairs, stood far away and watched her with a blush.

When she came downstairs, she seemed to have thoughtlessly witnessed two people suddenly expressing their love.

Lucy, who was blinking like a carp, stuttered as her feet moved downstairs.

“Oh. Hahaha. Please continue doing what you’re doing, My Lady. I didn’t see anything.”
