Master of Myths

In the nameless desert once home to the Zarselos the parasite, which YuJu finally decided to name Abaddon in reference to its bottomless stomach and status as a calamity, was flying at breakneck speed, eating everything before it be they of flesh and bones, or sand and rocks, as long as they moved they were prey

This mass genocide was going unsupervised as YuJu, the creator of this calamity, was in his mansion in Hortus, laughing at Ellis's way of dealing with the envois of the eighth floor

"You do take after me indeed Ellis, that's even better than what I told you to do"

"I thought I should improvise"

"It's good that you did, they shouldn't be bothering us for quite a bit"

He sipped the rinea provided by the pale looking maids, it seems that horrible experience did a number on them, hearing that he got some brain eating parasite out of their brains however made them feel a lot less aggravated, and a tiny bit grateful 

"Are we to return to the human world then Master?"

"Not for the time being, first we shall go on a vacation"

"Vacation, I see, then I shall pack some things"

Ellis nodded getting up to go prepare for a long journey probably filled with struggle and deadly foes

'I didn't think she would be so eager to have some fun with that personality of hers'

Missenterpiting her actions after she misinterpreted his words lead to a lack of explanation on what the trip would be, which is why one could imagine the shock of Ellis when, four days later, the two along with Anput arrived at a massive beach teeming with all manners of ocean life 

"...Master"

"Yes?"

Out of his gloomy outfit and now in beach trunks YuJu looked back at her with a pair of sunglasses

"We were really just going on a vacation?"

"Yup, what did you think we were doing?"

"...."

Seeing her stiff face his smile turned the same

"What did you pack in your storage Ellis?"

"I…swords, spears, axes, some explosive reagents too"

"Hahaha"

Instead of feeling at a loss YuJu merely laughed, now that was more like the feisty redhead he knew

"Well relax, we deserve a little time off right about now so don't worry about anything and enjoy the beach, oh and take everything you sea with a grain of salt, things can get pretty weird out in the ocean world after all"

Leaving her to her own YuJu went ahead with Anput to bomb dive into the big sea, swimming out of sight with their ridiculous strength in moments

Ellis just stood there in silence, unsure of what to actually do

'Well, since I'm all the way here it won't hurt to rest'

The human race was all safe and sound under the vampire's care, Hortus's turmoil is in a deadlock and her strength was stagnating, a day or two of vacation couldn't hurt could it

"Let's do it"

She decided, using the hairpin to change to a dark red bikini before stepping onto the white sands with a smile finally dawning her face

That said the place was anything but familiar, bar the sand and water she couldn't tell heads from tail of everything else, there were walking fish, some bird folk playing ball on top of a half docked whale, and even a few land sharks stuffing themselves in a food contest

"Hibak ha ba bibi"

A voice sounded close to her promoting the redhead to turn toward a human sized krill looking at her with its black beady eyes 

"Excuse me?"

"Oh, you come from the big tree newcomer?"

"Newcomer?"

"Well what else could you be, we haven't seen any of your race around here before"

"Oh, well, yes, we don't visit these parts"

"I can tell, by the way what are you if you don't mind me asking? Your friend there looked like a vampire but he was not, and you resemble them even less, I can associate you with nothing else"

"Human"

"Hue man? You don't look colourful to me sweetie"

"No Human is one word, just the name of the race, nothing deeper beyond it"

"Oh, that so?"

She nodded and looked about once more

"Say sweetie do you want to hang out with me and the girls down under? We got a party going in a dead clam just under that wale off in the distance"

"Umm, can you tell a little more about this place first?"

"Well its nothing much, just a place where fish folk party and hang out, nothin with a name or fancy things like those"

"I see"

She guessed as much seeing as everything was messy, and since she knew practically no one else in here or was sure they spoke the same language she took the krill upon their request

"Oh goodie, let's go so I could brag to those see through girls how I made a new friend"

Ellis followed, withholding herself from telling the apparently female krill that she was see through as well

The two climbed up one of the docked fish bodies who somehow survived normally on the surface and jumped dived into the water

The krill's speed was quite fast but Ellis caught up rather quickly with her own, arriving inside a bubble containing air in a huge shell of a clam

'Everything here looks like something out of a fantasy land'

Dancing krills, crabs beating drums, and big lobsters on the dining table, it certainly looked nothing like the miserable Infidome she knew but more like some kid's dreams of the wonderful sea

"Ei ei Ki! Ei ei Ki!"

Toward them came a conga line, or in this case, a krill line, who upon spotting the two had some of them split up

"Hey girls" "Kika we have been waiting for you" "Yah it isn't so fun without our proudest member"

'Kika? A krill named Kika?'

Ellis almost burst out laughing, her poker face had become better after living with YuJu though so it withstood for the time being

"Girls let me show you my newest friend, a human!"

"She is only red and vanilla how is she hue man?"

"I'm more surprised she is a he with those big clams"

"No girls it's just one word, Human!"

"Oh, that makes more sense" "Yah yah"

Finding their interpretation of her grace's name somewhat comical Ellis giggled, earning herself a stare from all the grills

"So pretty" "Yah, you should laugh more sister"

"Umm, I'll try" 

"I know! Let's dance, maybe it will lighten her mood!"

All in agreement they dragged Ellis into the middle of the clam and started to wiggle in various weird ways, estranging Ellis but at the same time making her laugh her heart out at their funny appearances

"See I told you it would work" "Dance with us sweetie"

So she did, knowing that they probably wouldn't judge her moves since every race was different

After a few rounds of dancing they all sat down next to the food filled table, grabbing themselves a fin or two

"My girl, you were wild there" "You should have seen her moves, she was a killer whale" " We know, we were dancing with her remember?" "Oh ya!"

"Here, have a fin of these"

Kika offered to Ellis as she ate one herself, which the redhead accepted and munched on lightly, as she did she saw the clam's top coming down to close

"Oh, the show is about to start!"

"Show?"

"Yeah, the booty reveal of the year, its when we get to see the treasure that was made in this clam before it died, every year they close the clam to set the mood for the grand reveal"

"I see"

'I wonder if Master would be interested in it'

Ellis thought while watching as the calm finally shut them in, darkness filling her vision, one which she quickly adapted to given the nature of her latest purification

Sou!

A blade came stabbing in the dark, almost poking her eye out if not for the timely dodge

Sou!Sou!Sou!

But more attacks quickly followed in succession, every one of which she dodged gracefully before jumping out of the encirclement

"Oh? You can still move after eating that?" "Maybe she has some poison resistance, it won't be long before her strength fails her"

The krills gathered around her with amused eyes, so did the other creatures, all waiting for her to drop dead

"...A trap?"

"What else human? Did you think I brought you here to freeload on me or to make some friends? Of course not"

Ellis's face reverted to her aloof demeanor hearing those words, truly nothing in this miserable world was worth trusting

"Let me guess, you want something I own?"

"Ha! How funny you say that after flaunting your spatial equipment"

'Spatial equipment?'

She asked herself, there was never a point where something was taken out of the storage since she arrived here however, in fact the only thing she did was change her clothes…

'Oh they think that is some sort of equipment, well, not that it isn't'

All this didn't matter now though, what mattered was only one thing

"Let me ask you something Kika"

"Your last words sweetie?"

"You could think of it like that"

She looked at the backstabbing krill with a serious gaze, almost scaring her into stepping back

"How come your standing after eating what I ate"

"Oh it's just that, I thought it was something important for a moment there, well you dumb land dweller never thought that I could have taken the antidote early on? In fact, just eating anything strangers offer you and believing every single thing they say is the dumbest thing to do in a world such as this"

"I see, it is my mistake then"

"Indeed, so when do you plan on dropping dead?"

"I should have been more careful"

"Hey, answer me"

"I must exercise caution no matter where I am or I would end up dead without even knowing it"

"Are you even listen-"

Kika didn't make it to the last word before her head went rolling, stiffening everyone present

"Thankfully I have that special title or I would have definitely fallen here"

Switching her outfit into a more battle fit one Ellis set her gaze on these deceptive folks, sword in hand and murderous aura out

"Ohhh we're fish meat"

And fish meat they were as angry woman started her massacre, slashing down every creature in the clam mercilessly, many tried to escape by opening the clam but none got further than it by a meter before being skewed with a spear sent their way

Storing her blade Ellis looked into the depths of the clam where she spotted something shiny earlier in the battle, picking it up to reveal a pearl necklace

"Hmm, I guess she wasn't lying about the treasure"

At least something the departed Kika said was true, she would take it as compensation for all the trouble

'Goodness I am thinking more and more like Master'

Thinking of the man she wondered if he would be mad about her ruining the vacation, after all, they were supposed to come here to relax and not cause a ruckus 

Booom!

"Ruuun Ellissss!!"

'....Thought too soon huh'

Like master like servant it seems

'Well, I guess that's the end of our short lived vacation'

It wasn't all that bad, she had some fun, fleeting as it may be, and she even got a glimpse of the weird world of sea creature

'Let's make a run for it then'

Blasting off from her place she exited the sea and followed after her master in escape of the huge sea serpent chasing behind for god knows what reason
