My Dragon

Chapter 39

Chapter 39: To me, you are the most special being in this world, bar none.

It was a dream-like kiss, and the most romantic moment of Nan HuaiLin’s life. If you ignored the huge thing that was on top of him. After the kiss, Fei Cheng held Nan HuaiLin out of the water, stood still, wiped a handful of water from his face, smiled and asked, “Is your husband handsome?”

Nan HuaiLin nodded, “Super handsome!”

Also super scary.

Fei Cheng’s smile deepened, “You’re indirectly admitting that I’m your husband?”

Nan HuaiLin nodded gently, “Yes.”

Fei Cheng moved closer, took his earlobe and sucked it, and said in a husky voice, “Hubby is already so hard it hurts, do you want it here…”

“No, no, no!” Nan HuaiLin refused in a panic, “Your brother is still outside!”

Fei Cheng laughed, pinched his cheek and said with a smile, “Just kidding, I have to take you to my brother and ask him how to hatch the eggs.”

Nan HuaiLin put his arm around his waist, “Before I meet your brother, I have a question first.”

Fei Cheng carried him towards the pool, “Ask.”

Nan HuaiLin strolled through his thoughts and said, “I see that your original form looks like the little white dragon in Journey to the West, but also has wings like Smaug in The Hobbit. Are you a Chinese dragon or a foreign dragon? Or are you a hybrid dragon?”

Fei Cheng grabbed him by the waist and put him to sit at the edge of the pool, while he was still standing in the water, with his hand on Nan HuaiLin’s side, smiling and saying, “Have you heard of YingLong?”

The water in the pool was so clear that Nan HuaiLin could see Fei Cheng’s naked body as soon as he lowered his head. He forced himself to stare at Fei Cheng’s face, thought about it with his almost-competent brain, and said, “I think I’ve heard of it.”

Fei Cheng said, “YingLong is a kind of dragon with wings, but it’s ugly. I’m an evolved version of YingLong, and my face is 800 blocks ahead of the ancient version, but I’m still a Chinese dragon.”

Nan HuaiLin nodded and asked a second question, “Since dragons can make people conceive dragon eggs, and a single pregnancy creates a nest, it means that dragons must be very good at reproduction. So the number of your dragon family must be very large, right?”

Fei Cheng shook his head, “On the contrary, my brother and I are the last two dragons in this world.”

“Huh?” Nan HuaiLin was surprised, “How can…”

“There may not be one person in a million who can breed dragon eggs, let alone meet in a sea of people.” Fei Cheng looked at him tenderly, “So it’s a great blessing that I met you and fell in love with you.”

Nan HuaiLin couldn’t believe it, “Am I… Am I such a special being?”

Fei Cheng smiled and nodded, “To me, you’re the most special being in this world, bar none.”

Nan HuaiLin’s whole heart was softened beyond words as his chest overflowed with a different kind of emotion. He had been ordinary for twenty-three years, and suddenly he became someone’s most special, being cherished and treasured, being pampered in his heart, and the intense happiness came over him like a tsunami, almost overwhelming him.

Fei Cheng propped himself up and gave him a kiss, smiling, “What else do you want to ask?”

Nan HuaiLin originally wanted to ask if dragons live much longer than people, but he suddenly felt that that wasn’t important at all, so he smiled and shook his head, “Not for now, I’ll ask later when I think of it. Let’s go find your brother and ask him how to hatch the eggs.”

Fei Cheng jumped out of the water and said with a smile, “My brother will be surprised.”

The two of them went to change out of their wet clothes, and Fei Cheng told Nan HuaiLin to wait in the living room before calling his brother.

“Brother,” Fei Cheng said gleefully as he pushed open the door to the study, “come out for a moment, I have some explosively good news for you.”

After that, Fei Cheng went to the living room, sat next to Nan HuaiLin, and asked him close to his ear, “Who do you think is more handsome, me or my brother?”

This was a trick question, so Nan HuaiLin also whispered in his ear, “You’re the most handsome.”

Fei Cheng held his face and kissed him one, two, three, four, five, six times. When Nan HuaiLin saw Fei Zheng approaching, he hurriedly pushed Fei Cheng away and sat upright.

Not waiting for Fei Zheng to sit down, Fei Cheng put his arm around Nan HuaiLin’s shoulder and said, “Brother, let me introduce you. This is your brother’s wife.”

Fei Zheng sat across from them, his usual expressionless face, his eyes coldly looking at Nan HuaiLin, “Nan HuaiLin, right?”

Fei Zheng actually knew his name!

Nan HuaiLin was so surprised that he said “Hello, Mr. Fei” in a formal manner.

“It’s not nice to call him Mr. Fei,” Fei Cheng said, “Just call him ‘brother’.”

“Don’t you have good news to tell me?” Fei Zheng looked at Fei Cheng and asked indifferently, “What is it?”

Fei Cheng laughed out loud three times before announcing excitedly, “Brother, I’m a father! You’re an uncle now!”

Even Fei Zheng, who was as cool as cucumber, couldn’t help but show some surprise at this moment. After a brief moment of silence, he asked Nan HuaiLin directly, “You gave birth to a dragon egg?”

“Yes.” Nan HuaiLin nodded her head, still feeling ashamed of being asked that question.

“How many?” Fei Zheng asked again.

“Five!” Fei Cheng exclaimed, “Amazing, right?!”

“Where are the dragon eggs?” Fei Zheng stood up with a start, “Show me immediately.”

Nan HuaiLin said, “In my home… in the cupboard.”

“Let’s go.” Fei Zheng said.

Fei Cheng drove his brother and his wife to the house in Baiziwan as fast as he could. When they entered the house, Nan HuaiLin went straight to the kitchen, opened the door of the cupboard, carefully brought out the bowl, carried it to the living room, and put it on the table.

There were five eggs in the bowl, no more, no less.

Fei Cheng was a little embarrassed, “I’ve never seen what dragon eggs look like. When he first showed them to me, I thought they were hard-boiled eggs, but luckily I didn’t just grab them and break them.”

Fei Zheng picked up the eggs one by one, put them in his ear and listened to them for a while before putting them down carefully.

Nan HuaiLin and Fei Cheng had no idea what he was doing, so they watched with nervous faces.

After listening to the five eggs, Fei Zheng breathed an imperceptible sigh of relief and said, “All five eggs are alive, thank goodness.”

Fei Cheng asked, “Brother, you know how to hatch eggs, right? How long does it take to incubate?”

“It takes at least six months, maybe more.” Fei Zheng said in a deep voice, “You and I will fly to the United States tomorrow, and go to Atlantic City.”

Fei Cheng nodded without hesitation, “Okay.”

Fei Cheng had always obeyed his brother in matters of great importance.

Fei Zheng added, “I’m going to get ready and come back in the morning, so you guys keep an eye on the dragon eggs and make sure nothing goes wrong.”

Fei Cheng nodded, “Don’t worry.”

Without further ado, Fei Zheng turned around and left. When he reached the door, he suddenly stopped, looked back at Nan HuaiLin, and said solemnly, “Thank you.”

Nan HuaiLin froze, but Fei Zheng had already opened the door and walked out.

Fei Cheng hugged Nan HuaiLin and looked into his eyes, “I also want to say thank you.”

Nan HuaiLin asked, “Thank me for what?”

Fei Cheng said, “Thank you for being born in this world.”

Nan HuaiLin smiled faintly, “You’re welcome.”

After a long night of tossing and turning, Nan HuaiLin now felt tired after finally settling down.

Fei Cheng noticed, and without saying a word, he picked him up and walked straight to the bedroom.

“Wait a minute,” Nan HuaiLin patted his shoulder, “is it okay to leave the eggs like this? It’s so hot, should we put them in the fridge?”

Fei Cheng laughed, “Do you want to freeze them to death? Just leave them there, they’ll be fine.”

Nan HuaiLin gave an “ooh” and smiled shyly.

When he got into the bedroom, Fei Cheng put Nan HuaiLin on the bed, then lay down next to him, stretched out an arm, and said with a smile, “Baby, come into your husband’s arms.”

Nan HuaiLin rolled over and lay in his arms.

Fei Cheng picked up his chin and kissed him tenderly, “If you hadn’t just laid our eggs, I’d eat you right now.”

Nan HuaiLin said seriously, “Didn’t we agree you wouldn’t eat people?”

Fei Cheng smiled and said, “Don’t interrupt, you know what I mean.”

Nan HuaiLin buried his face into his neck like an ostrich and didn’t say a word.

Fei Cheng kissed him on the cheek, his voice so gentle it could wring water out, “Do you like me?”

Nan HuaiLin said in a jarring voice, “You’ve already asked this question.”

Fei Cheng said, “I just want to ask it again, answer me.”

Nan HuaiLin pressed his lips to his pulsating artery and whispered, “Yes, Nan HuaiLin likes Fei Cheng, very, very, very much.”
