Staying in the Suo Kingdom for a few more days, there was a visit from a princess of another state, Princess Gu Yuelan and the prince, Prince Gu Nieyuan.

They were from the Kang Kingdom, a neighboring kingdom that was coming to sign a peace treaty.

Xiao Jun was just casually strolling around the palace while Yun Long was talking with Zhang Wei as both were generals and they exchanged some tactics.

Being bumped into, Xiao Jun took a few steps back as the maids by her side held her up.

"Hmph! Watch where you're going!" Yuelan exclaimed, she glared at Xiao Jun and held her head up high, acting all high and mighty.

It's a pity that she didn't know that Xiao Jun was one of the most precious people in the Suo Kingdom.

"Watch where I'm going? Hah! I think it should be you, Princess Gu Yuelan." Xiao Jun smiled, dusting her dress of. She rolled her eyes and placed a hand on her stomach as she walked away.

She didn't have time to deal with haughty people.

Yuelan frowned as she saw the reaction of the other woman and she stomped her feet angrily. "You're just a bedwarmer who happens to carry the Emperor's child!"

Oh would she regret letting her mouth spout nonsense.

Not long after that, Yun Long and Zhang Wei we're walking and they passed Yuelan. Yuelan being the spoiled princess she was, she looked at Yun Long and declared, "I'm going to marry you!"

[A: ... ㄱ.ㄱ uhh..is she that shameless...]

Zhang Wei just stared and shook his head, "Princess, I suggest that you go and rest before the meeting tonight."

Yuelan rolled her eyes at Zhang Wei, obviously not knowing that he was a prince of the Suo Kingdom.

[A: tsktsk...]

Yun Long just gave Yuelan a polite bow and walked off with Zhang Wei, not giving her a second glance.

Yuelan pouted at the man's reaction and threw her sleeves back before walking away to her guest quarters.

Once midday fell, Prince Nieyuan arrived with Princess Yuelan and noticed that there was an empty table next to the princes, noting that the last prince (princess) had not yet arrived.

"Greetings to the Emperor, the Empress." they curtsied, hand over their chest in greeting as they bowed.

Taking a seat, the Emperor smiled when he saw Yun Long enter along with Xiao Jun.

Yuelan smiled softly when she saw Yun Long and glared at Xiao Jun, wondering what a 'concubine' was doing at such an important meeting, especially one that did not involve outsiders. She was even more upset when she saw Xiao Jun sit next to Yun Long at the empty table.

Wang Wei had a maid take his little platter of grapes over to Xiao Jun and she smiled at the sight of the grapes.

Yun Long took one and handed it to her, earning a thankful smile from her as she took it and ate it. Yuelan to the side rolled her eyes and was cursing Xiao Jun inside, wondering what relationship a concubine and a prince would have.

As the talk about the peace treaty went on, Xiao Jun stood up to voice her opinion. "How long are you planning for this peace treaty to last with those conditions of yours?"

Yuelan scoffed, "Who are you to talk? You're just some concubine who happens to be close to a prince."

"Concubine? Who is a concubine?" the Emperor asked, looking at Yuelan. Yuelan then got up and curtsied, "Your Highness, this Princess is talking about her." she said, using the informal way of addressing Xiao Jun as 'her'.

The Empress then laughed out loud and stood up, walking down the steps and standing next to Xiao Jun. "Concubine? Why would my daughter, a princess, be a concubine?"

Yuelan's eyes widened, "That can't be! The Suo Kingdom doesn't have a princess! You're lying!"

Nieyuan quickly got up and kneeled next to Yuelan, hitting her arm in an attempt to silence her.

"Lying? What do I get out of lying to you, a princess of a small country? Just because it isn't well known to others about the princess of the Suo Kingdom doesn't mean we don't have one. The person you had called a concubine was indeed my daughter and indeed a princess. Also, I suggest you stop eyeing my daughter's husband, those who try and steal things that aren't theirs will eventually get their karma." the Empress smiled, watching as Yuelan's face changed from her initial look of disbelief to a look of fright.

"Prince Nieyuan, it looks like people of your country are unable to differentiate between what is true and what is not. This peace treaty between the Suo Kingdom and the Kangdom will no longer be valid, take your Princess and leave my kingdom!" the Emperor yelled, annoyed at the behavior that Yuelan had showed.

Leaving with a shocked face, Yuelan was held up by Nieyuan as they left, not saying a single word.

[A: Serves you right! Don't assume things!]

Xiao Jun was had a little smile on her face the whole time, knowing that Yuelan would say something against her if she spoke. She wasn't going to allow her father to have a peace treaty with a country who had a brainless princess, who knew what she would do in the future just because of their 'peace treaty'.
