Sima Jiao didn’t let any of the puppets go. He scrapped all the puppets on Baili Mountain, and grabbed the big black snake that was still chasing the white deer in the mountains and stuffed it into the Fei pavilion in the sky.

The big black snake who was suddenly taken to the sky: “?”

Sima Jiao: “You just stay here.”

Was this confining company employees in turn? Liao Tingyan found that the ancestor seemed a bit strange.

After returning to Baili Mountain, Liao Tingyan glanced towards the sky and found that the black snake in the Fei Pavilion was a bit obvious. Sima Jiao took her to the outside of Baili Mountain with a high speed. Liao Tingyan felt the tremendous pressure brought by the acceleration, and her fur seemed to be blown out. The scenery in front of her became a grotesque.

His speed was extremely fast. Liao Tingyan was taken by her master Dong Yang flying in the past. But Sima Jiao’s speed was at least a thousand times faster than him.

For a moment, Liao Tingyan saw the brightly lit buildings, countless disciples in similar clothes gathered together, and people discussing on the cliffs.

The scenery passing by became a slideshow frame by frame.

Liao Tingyan somewhat understood why he had dealt with those puppets before. He was probably going to do something.

Sima Jiao finally stopped. There was a prosperous city in front of them. There was the emblem of Gengchen Xianfu on the city gate. This place should belong to the territory of Gengchen Xianfu, but it wasn’t the inner periphery, but the outer periphery.

Gengchen Xianfu was vast and boundless. Its inner circle was where the main families were located. It was a place for cultivation with ample spiritual energy, as well as the grounds of disciples. On the outside were the settlements of similar countries composed of small affiliated families. The former disciple family of Gengchen Xianfu had multiplied from generation to generation, and there were even many ordinary people who had moved to seek refuge.

The entire Gengchen Xianfu was like a giant tree, and the surrounding cities and ponds were the leaves growing on the tree.

Liao Tingyan once heard someone talk about it, but they didn’t know much, so she didn’t know much.

In a city of this size, there would be a Nascent Soul cultivator in town, but they usually didn’t appear, unless the city encountered a great danger, only then would they take action. Usually, there were only a few cultivators who practice Qi and build foundations to maintain public order in the city.

After all, the outer periphery wasn’t comparable to the grandeur of Nascent soul cultivators walking around in the inner circle. Everyone there was very low-level. So Sima Jiao entered this city without any worries. He walked directly over the wall of the city gate. No one in the city could find him.

Although the level of cultivators in this city was a little lower, the liveliness was unmatched by other places, and it could be called the most lively place Liao Tingyan had ever seen since she came to this world. And it was the kind of mortal life she knew very well. It reminded her of the scene of going home with colleagues after getting off work and eating dinner on the street when the night descended.

After Sima Jiao entered the city, he seemed to be wandering aimlessly. He walked on the street, and other people couldn’t see them, so they would avoid him subconsciously.

Liao Tingyan used to watch costume dramas and felt that the night was still like a modern day night, but now she had opened up new horizons. This fantasy world night was actually more lively than modern society, because there were not only human beings there.

There weren’t only ordinary lamps used for lighting on the street, but also all kinds of weird things that Liao Tingyan hadn’t seen, like the colorful lamps hanging on the flags of a shop on the roadside, which were made of shells. The light reflected by it was very bright and radiant; there were shiny orbs that looked like street lamps hanging on the street. Liao Tingyan discovered that they would open their mouths to eat the small bugs attracted by the light, and they were alive.

There was also a little fat kid playing in the doorway of a butcher shop, holding something that looked like an eye in his hand. The light came out from the ‘eye’ like a flashlight.

Sima Jiao walked up to the little fat child, picked up the “torch” in his hand and looked at it. He glanced at it, probably was a little interested, he held it calmly and continued to walk forward.

When the little fat child who had a good time found his toy flying in the air inexplicably, flying farther away, his eyes became round. He turned his head and cried into the store, “Father, my eye is flying! I don’t have it anymore!”

He started to cry. His father behind shouted at him from the room, “Why are you crying? I’ll buy another one for you next time!”

Liao Tingyan leaned on Sima Jiao’s shoulder, looked at his little white face, and said in her heart that the way the ancestor snatched the child’s toy really looked like a sand sculpture villain.

Miao:

sand sculpture (沙雕 shā diāo) This is a homophone and politer version of 傻屌 shǎ diǎo (stupid bird/dickhead) to refer to someone perceived to be stupid. Not offensive but jokingly.
