One Night Bride

Chapter 2: A Glimpse

The sunset sinks to the bottom of the sea.

And the boat docks at the beach.

In the sky, there are large pale brown clouds, moving slowly, set in a circle of gold, too beautiful to illuminate the great evil on this beach.

This is a village built on the peninsula, the peninsula extends to the middle of the sea, the village built along the island’s hillside trend is Qin Shang Cheng and other people’s hideout. 

There are also many fishermen on the island, who have to pay protection fees to Qin Shang Cheng and others for the right to live. However, they all live on the other side of the island facing the sea, all of which are cliffs, thus forming a natural separation which minimizes the harassment of their wives and daughters by the pirates. However, they look forward to the heavens to give the greatest punishment to this group of pirates, such that they return to the peaceful life of the fishermen.

But the heavens have not heard their request, the pirates are still arrogant.

The women that have been abducted by the impatient robbers run away while the men are left behind, the two men in charge of them are of lower rank and have not been assigned beautiful women, their eyes are red , they occasionally whip those abducted to release their anger. 

Qin Shang Cheng puts his hands around a plump woman, he slowly looks back, only to see these men on the ground  being beaten, their shoes have fallen off and are being dragged down like dogs, it is very cold to step barefoot on the beach.

He spits on the ground and suddenly his eyes land on a pair of feet.

The toes are long and slender, the back of the foot is crystal clear and each toenail is light pink, glittering and pleasant.

This is actually a pair of a woman’s feet , they look heavenly and have not been entangled.

At the moment, these smooth and healthy feet are stepping on the beach, it is very difficult to move,looking up a little higher at a pair of lower legs wearing pants, which are slightly rolled up a little to reveal a small section of the lower legs. 

Qin Shang Cheng suddenly feels a little breathless, as if the sun has returned from the western sky, and is once again hanging over his head, sweating a lot.

He unconsciously throws away the plump woman he is holding , runs a few steps and grabs the “man” who is lying face down on the ground. with thin,sweaty  hair on most of his face..

He stretches out a palm and wipes the dirty face, immediately revealing a snow-white color, like a sky that has suddenly broken through the dark clouds of the sky, clean and dazzling.

He smiles and holds the young girl under his armpit, feels her body shaking slightly, he then whispers: ” Do not fear ……”

People like him, even if they speak  in a low voice, it’s like thunder, and the girl’s body is shaking even more, and almost completely paralyzed on Qin Shang Cheng. At this time, several of his subordinates have already come over, and they also see that this “man” has turned out to be a young girl, but when they see the actions of Qin Shang Cheng, they feel a little strange.

At this moment, the young girl suddenly quickly pulls out a dagger from her pants. You can see that this dagger has been extraordinarily sharpened, she does not hesitate for a moment, she immediately stabs Qin Shang Cheng in the chest. 

Qin Shang Cheng does not expect this young girl who has been paralyzed to have such a swift movement, he tries to dodge but the dagger stabs him in the chest.

The young girl is happy, but immediately finds out that his chest is like steel, there is no way to penetrate it. only a little skin has been cut.

The young girl misses a blow, but does not panic, she bends down and quickly picks up the dagger which has fallen on the ground, she screams angrily , and stabs his heart. 

These series of actions happen in a blink of an eye, a few pirates have not yet reached, but they see Qin Shang Cheng roar, he reaches out to grab the dagger, the dagger has sunk into an inch and is stained with blood.

He grabs the dagger, staring at this strange girl, the girl has been tortured for so long, and she is wounded. She is already dying but not unconscious yet, she fiercely stares at him with wide eyes, with stubbornness and resentment in her eyes, she screams in despair. He doesn’t know how much grievance and anger she has suppressed in her heart to make such a gruesome sound.

Qin Shang Cheng who has done a lot of evil, also feels a little shudder.

He suddenly says something very strange: “What is your name?”

His voice is like a bell, giving the impression of a loud roar.

The young girl does not answer, she is still staring at him fiercely, and gradually, her eyes lose strength, she sadly looks at the night sky as black clouds press on the sea, a flock of seabirds flying so low, sinking, like it’s the end of the world.

Qin Shang Cheng lowers his eyebrows, looks at the woman in his arms, and sends someone to take good care of her.

The night is already late, unlike the heat of the day, the cool breeze at night is a bit disturbing.

There is a big fire burning, dozens of empty wine jars, pirates drunk, a large chunk of hunted meat from the island and grilled fish.

Next to a row of tree trunks are more than a dozen robbed women, naked and tied in a very ugly position, which is perfect for these group of bandits at any time to “get up” and fulfill their needs.

At first, there are screams all the time from the abused women, these women are heartbroken and struggling frantically, gradually those screams turn into wails and finally they become numb, their bodies are bruised and turn purple looking like a group of living corpses.

For a long time the pirates have lost kindness and are used to this kind of scene. When they are tired of this group of women, they push  them out and give them a small raft, and let them live on their own. Then they find news ones . 

Qin Shang Cheng with sweat gets up from the plump woman’s body who is lying on the floor on a huge dark carpet, almost dead.

He is still not satisfied, he suddenly remembers the young girl he captured today.

A servant brings him a jar of wine, he lifts it, raises his neck and drinks a few large sips, the wine is finished, he touches his mouth, throws the jar aside, turns around and walks to the house where the girl is.

This huge wooden house is Qin Shang Cheng’s “palace”. There are four thick living trees at the four corners which are 3 feet high, a huge pulled up tent  and it’s paved with wooden planks. The new people often can not tell whether this is a tent or a wooden house.
