Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 174 - Blood Aura

*[19 Days later]*

Frer was unable to avert her gaze from Shane whose entire body was drenched in blood as he walked out of the mess he had created.

His radiant smile was the biggest contrast to the bloody massacre behind him that Frer had ever seen in her whole life.

Only 19 days had passed since he had started establishing his bloodlust and he had already completed the whole process.

She would have accepted it if that was the only case. But, Shane went one step further and even started to assimilate his dominant and profound bloodlust with the similar dominant but distinct and complex killing intent. It would most likely take some time before it would be completed.

However, according to her understanding, Shane was very close to crossing the threshold to learn the Slaughterer's Path technique, if he hadn't reached it yet.

'Maybe he has to enter the Dimension-sphere once again?' Frer asked herself, waiting for Shane to arrive in front of her.

Lifting his hand, he showed her a peace sign before he said,

"I'll collect the corpses and absorb the ferocious blood antelopes' blood aura before we leave for Igra, okay?"

Nodding her head faintly, Frer just agreed to whatever Shane said.

After spending almost three weeks with him, she was not as shy around him as before. She could talk with him normally without the need to use her unique ability.

This was a great achievement for her and she was also able to sound confident in front of Shane which was a feat in itself that made her feel proud of herself!

Shane rushed back to the small battlefield that was littered with corpses, coloring the ground blood red as the air was permeated by a thin red hue.

This was the blood aura he talked about before.

The ferocious blood antelopes released it innately and when he and Frer found a large herd, Shane couldn't help but pick them as his target.

Absorbing it would not only enhance his blood circulation and strengthen his blood but it might even be helpful to reinforce his bloodlust by a small margin.

Even if that was not the case, the blood aura's enhancement to his blood was more than enough for him to be satisfied with his hunt.

After he stored the corpses away, Shane absorbed the blood aura for several hours before he and Frer left the Giant Fluare-plain dimension for the time being.

When he looked at the system's calendar, he noticed that it was time for the second monthly ranking. It caused Shane to ponder about the different rankings he could enter for now.

But, then he decided that the [Wealth] ranking was the only important ranking for him.

If he were to compare his strength to a peak-Apprentice rank with an occupation, he had to acknowledge that his strength was not at par.

Furthermore, if he were to attend the Apprentice combat ranking, he would have to leave the Dimensions for several days which was not feasible at the moment.

Right now, his world seed's mana consumption was exponentially higher compared to what it had been three weeks ago. Shane also knew that it would continue to increase drastically over the next few days as well.

Roughly calculating the percentage increase in the world seed's mana consumption soured Shane's mood. He knew that he had to store an astronomical amount of mana if he wanted to fulfill his world seed's high demand for mana which it would have in the near future before it would finally blossom.

He had been well aware of the fact that his world seed would demand a lot of mana but it seemed like he still had grossly underestimated the sheer amount of required mana.

Even if he were to store mana for several weeks, Shane was unsure if he was able to allow his world seed to blossom with that, which frustrated him.

It was only one week ago that Aunt Kia had called him, sounding almost desperate, when she explained to him that they had made a huge mistake by shortening the period for the world seed to blossom.

She had heard from another race, mankind had an alliance with, that the required mana for his world seed to blossom would be manifold higher compared to that required under normal circumstances.

Somehow, this was logical because they had forcefully reduced the period for the world seed to blossom by roughly 4000 times.

This was not a small difference and a world seed required the same amount of mana, regardless of the period required to blossom!

The only fact that allowed his aunt to keep her calm was that the required amount of mana to let a world seed blossom was adjusted if a lower-ranked individual were to purchase it from his self-earned funds.

Nobody knew to what degree the adjustment was for sure, but it was definitely better than supplying enough mana for a whole world to blossom!

In the end, they only had to let the world seed blossom without creating grand landscapes and so on.

It would probably only be a pebble-sized world in the beginning. But Shane would soon have to figure out how much mana it required to stay alive and how exactly the mana consumption would change if he were to let the blossomed world grow.

After hearing this, Kia sighed in relief and couldn't help but call Shane almost immediately, and explain everything.

[(...) Once you notice that the Basic-Dimensions can't provide you with enough mana anymore, call us! All of us will help you!!]

In the end, Shane was not scared about his world seed withering because he could simply enter a relatively secure Advanced-Dimension to absorb the mana there.

Though it might be extremely expensive and even dangerous. He could attract unwanted attention due to his world seed's mana absorption that would have to increase temporarily.

Other than that, Aunt Kia said that all of them would help, which meant that his other aunts and uncles would most likely supply him with enough mana stones for his world seed to blossom.

After that everything would be less stressful. Shane could only shake his head because he was sometimes way too impatient.

'Should I have prolonged the period for the world seed to blossom?' He asked himself.

However, there was nothing he could change about it anymore.

As such, he had to accept everything for what it was right now or let his world seed wither, wasting all of his efforts immediately.

Shane knew that the world seed was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was his luck that had allowed him to find and purchase it with his self-earned funds which was the reason for the system's huge discount.

As Shane walked through the bloody battlefield, a faint trail of his bloodlust followed him, greedily absorbing the blood splattered on the ground.

The last three weeks had quickly flown by and to Shane it felt that he had barely spent a few hours there. He would rather spend more time inside the Primordial Dimensions.

However, there were other things he had to take care of first.

One of them was to stay in the Dimension-Sphere for as long as possible for him to learn the Slaughterer's Path technique on the manaless Igra. He had to rely on his world seed's stored mana to supply it outside the Primordial Dimensions while also ensuring that the seed wouldn't wither.

If he were to leave Igra too late, his world seed would have to face a mana deficit, an unwanted outcome that Shane had already imagined too often.

After everything else was done, he and Frer walked towards their shelter to enter Igra through the Dimension Portal.

While Shane didn't care about the onlookers that eyed him weirdly due to his bloody clothes, Frer utilized her unique ability to switch off her shyness and other uncomfortable emotions emerging within her.
