Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 201 - Change

Shane had heard of 'gradeless and qualityless' skills and also about domains that had unique traits.  Both were unique and extremely rare characteristics that one could only obtain by solving [Universal (Mythic)] missions.

At least that was what his aunt Kia had told him once. However, she didn't even know what these missions were because they were not listed in the common mission segment.

Other than completing missions, one might be able to receive such a weird gradeless and qualityless domain skill directly through the system awakening like Shane had received [Artemis' Blessing] and his Innate Skill [Taming].

It must be the latter option because Shane doubted that someone like Ilya would have been able to solve a Universal mission.

He might as well be completely wrong and Ilya could be a powerhouse in the Advanced Dimensions and was hiding within the Basic-Dimensions after finding a way to trick the system.

This thought was only a joke, but Shane began to wonder if there was a way to trick the system somehow.

'Is it possible for someone with liquefied mana to enter the Basic-Dimensions? Normally it shouldn't be and the system will automatically lock Basic Dimensions for everyone who has liquefied their mana...but what if there is something wrong?

I doubt that the system doesn't make mistakes while continuously monitoring an uncountable number of living beings every single second…'

Shane had always been suspicious of the system, after reading a few novels on earth that also had a system.

In the grand scheme of things, most systems were either constructed to help or do something vicious.

Shane hoped that it was the former because the latter would be extremely bad, not only for him but for every being that had awoken the system within them.

Shaking his head, he told himself that it was useless to be overly cautious against the system for now.

Once he became stronger, Shane would be able to think about it more intently, but not now.

As he walked towards the Emperor and Empress with shaky legs, Ilya rushed past him as if she hadn't even participated let alone fought. While the medic team rushed towards the knocked-out elementals that couldn't even sustain their most natural form anymore.

'Was I too harsh to them?' He started to wonder before he told himself that he had barely punched them with his bare hands.

Normally, he wouldn't hesitate to use his weapons to demonstrate his whole strength and it was only because the Elementals didn't have a physical body that he held back.

It would have been much easier for Shane to defeat the Elementals with a weapon because he could have stabbed their mana core, but that would also mean that he would have killed them.

As he stood in front of the Emperor and Empress limply, Shane could only ask,

"I'm sorry if I sound rude now, but am I done for today? I can't fight anymore…."

Shane noticed that he sounded pitiful but that was not something he could avoid for now.

He was already astonished that his legs hadn't buckled under his weight and were still able to help him to walk the last few meters.

Emperor Kidar pondered for a moment, asking himself if there was something else Shane could do as Empress Idral suddenly said,

"You look exhausted. I hope your body won't have any subsequent damage because of the large amount of mana you unleashed at once. Take a good rest!"

Shane was only able to give her a faint smile upon hearing Empress Idral's last words before his sight blurred as he collapsed to the ground.

**

An unknown amount of time had passed before Shane regained his senses. passed but Shane felt full of energy when he regained his senses.

He found himself lying on a comfortable and cozy bed that seemed to envelop him in warmth and he could barely open his drowsy eyes to take a look around.

The room Shane was currently inside had an XXL king-sized bed in which he currently laid while the furniture looked extremely expensive.

'Is that the guest room for ambassador's?' Shane began to wonder as he tried to get out of the large bed.

Straightening his back, Shane immediately noticed that his body had recuperated and he didn't feel pain, cramps or anything like that.

Not even his mana veins seemed to be burning again, instead, it felt like they were stronger than before which caused Shane to circulate mana through them to test his assumption.

'It's much faster?' He was extremely confused about this, but before he could look out for anyone to explain what had happened to him, Shane washed up in the bathroom that was connected to his room.

He then changed into a clean set of clothes that was suitable for an ambassador or noble person but couldn't help thinking that he looked better in combat clothes.

Leaving the room after he had figured out that he slept for more than a day, he took a stroll to see where he was currently.

Based on what he saw around him, Shane concluded that he was inside the palace because he was inside the highest building on Caere, the floating crystal island. As he observed his surroundings, a sudden thought emerged in his mind,

'I had told everyone that I'll be back in...8 days? If the Emperor and Empress don't need to use me for more lectures to their people, I should be able to gather more information about the Lesser Starlet foxes habitat, what kind of Awakened beasts I have to take care of, and how exactly I will be able to find and catch one without injuring it.'

There were many unknown factors Shane had to figure out and only around 8 days before he would return to Igra where his family would help him blossom the world seed.

Right now, he noticed that his world seed's mana absorption and demand for mana had increased by a large margin. This told him that his world seed desired even more mana than before.

'It won't demand that much when it blooms, right?' Shane asked himself, hoping that his world seed would continue to absorb as much mana as it was currently doing.

This would allow him to store the surplus mana and he hoped that after the blooming of his world, its demand wouldn't increase more than it was currently!

There were several possibilities about soul-bound worlds which Shane could think of, and the most likely was that the world would require a certain amount of mana to sustain itself according to its size.

The surplus mana might be used to enlarge the world's size which would increase the required amount of mana it needed to sustain its life, or the extra mana could be stored inside the world's mana storage.

He had to be careful about enlarging his world using either of the ways. It was crucial to sustain the world continuously without missing out on a single day which would most likely be the doom for the world.

Other than that, Shane was unsure how high the bloomed world seed's mana absorption would be but it was pretty evident that it would be less than it currently was.

Otherwise, he might turn into a walking mana storage due to the Hidden Paradise, i.e. his soul-bound world.

The system would probably restrict this and Shane would have to accept it if that were to be the case.

Either way, his strength was incomparable to the time before he was able to use the world seed's stored mana. Shane was confident to even defeat low-Awakened beasts if he were to go all out!

He figured that out after fighting against Cedir whom he overwhelmed pretty easily and the other Greater Elementals that he defeated with Ilya.

As he walked through the hallway, Shane saw a few Elementals and walked past them. But to his utter bewilderment, they halted in their tracks and bowed slightly towards him.

'What is going on?' He asked himself.

In the beginning, Shane thought that it might only have been a few Elementals who had suddenly turned docile and submissive. However, this thought held no ground when he noticed that every single Elemental bowed slightly to him, showing him their respect.

'Was that because of the sparring?'

Shane was dumbfounded as to how two spars could drastically change the Elementals' behavior because it was not like he had defeated someone with a strong cultivation background.

His opponents had merely been at the Basic-Dimension which was not something special for Greater Elementals who were born with a strong foundation.

As such his opponents in the brawl should have been young Elementals and not experienced fighters.
