Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 366 - Nirvana

Under normal circumstances, only skills were able to manifest domains.

Shane was not even sure what stage one had to reach to be able to cope with the strain of manifesting a domain by oneself, but advancing to the Main dimension was the bare minimum!!

With that being said, Miriam was currently doing nothing good to her. On the contrary, she was killing herself!

Right now, it looked like she had comprehended something important for the future, but it was extremely dangerous.

Shane stared at her with a conflicted expression, but instead of attacking her, he decided to prepare himself for the worst possible case.

He had more than enough mana after all!

It was not advantageous for him that Miriam learned something new, but for herself and those she wanted to protect, there couldn't be anything better.

The phoenix's illusion was slowly moving around the small area enveloped by Miriam's phoenix flames.

Neither did the phoenix attack or do anything else but flew around and released a dangerous aura.

It was suffocating, and everyone around them had to retreat several steps to make breathing more bearable.

Based on what Shane perceived, Miriam's mana was being consumed at a rapid pace. After evaporating the hundreds of spears of darkness Umbra had conjured earlier, Miriam was now left with less than a quarter of her mana.

However, now that Miriam's mana was mostly consumed and the domain required a huge amount of it, she struggled to control it, she had to replenish it at the same time.

Yet, Igra's naturally generated mana was not even close to be enough for her high mana consumption.

As such she had to take a different path.

Unfortunately, Miriam was unable to move properly, let alone access her spatial ring to take out a bulk of mana stones.

Both Aisha and Shane noticed this, and they decided to help her as much as possible.

Aisha threw a large bulk of mana stones in the combat arena, right below Miriam, enabling her to freely absorb the surrounding mana.

Shane didn't have many mana stones because he didn't need them right now, but Aisha seemed to be prepared for every possible scenario.

Time seemed to have slowed down and without knowing how much of it had passed already, both Shane and Aisha could only wait.

The sparring had already lost its meaning and it was unlikely that they could continue.

At least, that was what Shane thought, only to hear Aisha mumbling something that caused him to frown.

"Why is something like that always happening during a spar...this will be ugly again…"

Aisha didn't notice that Shane had heard her, let alone realise that she had said these words out loud.

Despite frowning, and being unsure what was going on, Shane couldn't help but feel a seed of excitement blooming within him.

As such, he entered a defensive combat stance, while telling Umbra to go behind him. Meanwhile, Cosmo was standing on top of Umbra's head, observing everything intently.

If the Phoenix domain, which was the name Shane gave Miriam's domain, would hit Umbra or Cosmo, they would be severely injured, or in the worst-case scenario, die!

This was something Shane would never accept.

The flames around Miriam were distinct and slowly heating up, while the domain began to enlarge.

However, at the exact same time, both Shane and Aisha noticed that Miriam's body was writhing in pain.

She was suppressing her pain and enduring everything without letting even the faintest whimper escape her lips.

Maybe she didn't want to unleash the mana within the phoenix domain in fear of hurting someone or didn't want to lose her comprehension.

It was as if she had entered a state of complete enlightenment. Suddenly, without anyone except Miriam noticing, something essential about her body began to change.

Somehow, Miriam felt as if she was physically dying, only to perceive the Phoenix fire within her reawakening the cells in her body that had died.

This process repeated itself thousands of times causing immense pain.

At the same time, it enhanced her entire body, strengthening Miriam tremendously.

Only a few minutes later, she was overflowing with the mana she had absorbed. However, Miriam also knew that she couldn't continue to supply more mana to the Phoenix domain she was trying to figure out.

Her body was already on the brink of breaking apart, and there was no way for her to continue fighting, let alone control her domain anymore.

As such, she barely mustered the energy to warn Shane as a pained smile emerged on her face.

"Survive this and I'll gladly keep my promise!"

With these words, Shane knew that the fight was nearing its end. They wouldn't fight anymore, and he was correct in his assumption that Miriam had lost control over her domain.

It looked like she was about to stop supplying more mana to the Phoenix domain, forcing the Phoenix's illusion to search for the biggest source of mana in the surrounding area.

Everyone knew that this was Shane which was also the reason for Miriam to give him a warning.

He quickly opened a portal to the Hidden Paradise in which both Umbra and Cosmo disappeared.

After that, Shane transferred mana, worth several times what he could normally store, towards him.

His veins were bulging, and Shane had to release the mana transferred to him within an instant, otherwise, his body would break apart.

The Invincible Scimitar was the perfect destination for the transferred mana, which was why he led it towards the scimitar before activating the [Infinite enhancement] ability.

After adding the mana that had already been stored inside the Invincible Scimitar through its passive [Endless accumulation] ability, Shane didn't worry about it breaking apart.

Instead, he could only see a faint bluish membrane enveloping the Scimitar as he retracted it, and was ready to brandish his weapon at the Phoenix illusion that shot towards him with a loud screech.

When he unleashed his bloodlust-killing-intent that enveloped him tightly, it enhanced his strength. Shane also exerted the [Light steps] movement technique in order to shoot towards the Phoenix that wanted to leech on his mana.

At the same time, Shane transferred more mana into his body, circulating it until every cell in his body began to ache.

Only a moment later, he and the Phoenix clashed against each other, allowing Shane to feel the blazing heat surrounding the illusion.

This caused him to frown deeply, as his hair was singed, and the heat was about to burn his skin.

Yet, rather than allowing this, Shane transferred another batch of mana worth several times the mana he could store, only to supply every single trace of it into the [Mana membrane(Lesser)] skill he activated.

A thick layer of mana enveloped Shane in an instant protecting him from everything.

It was only because of the ginormous amount of mana the Hidden Paradise had stored that he was able to face the Phoenix illusion head-on.

And even then, it was not enough for him to come out unscathed.

Shane brandished the Invincible Scimitar, launching one lethal blow that severed through the Phoenix illusion and the mana holding it together.

This caused the mana that was tightly held together to explode, devastating the entire combat room.

The impact affected Shane the most as he had been in the center of the explosion.

He was thrown a few meters away before he fell to the ground with a sickening thud, where he remained unmoving.
