Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 376 - Unsealed Power

Even if he wanted to give up right now, there was no way for him to leave the combat arena at all.

However, that was not what Shane planned to do, to begin with.

His current situation might make him look helpless, but was that really the case?

Shane could barely take a deep breath before he exerted and overclocked the [Light steps] movement technique increasing his speed tremendously.

Before that, he had ordered Umbra to return to the Hidden Paradise which his tamed beast reluctantly did.

Cosmo could stay by his side because he was small, but Umbra's body was way too large to evade attacks of multiple Overlord beasts.

As such, ignoring Cosmo's shallow combat prowess, the fight had turned into three combat forces versus one.

Only Cosmo's spatial affinity was crucial to help Shane in this seemingly helpless fight.

Out of the three overlords he was facing, one was already bleeding heavily due to the injury Shane had inflicted.

This was great and helped him to survive for the next two minutes.

Unfortunately, this didn't mean that his situation had improved.

The two unscathed overlords that had received several enhancements were much stronger than Shane, and at par with his speed that had almost doubled.

Shane noticed that he couldn't overclock his movement technique for longer, which made him change in his strategy. Thus, he advanced straight towards the injured overlord, instead of evading the three beasts' attacks.

This came as an unexpected move but even more so that Cosmo opened three spatial portals next to him with each leading to the backside of one beast.

Only Shane and Cosmo knew which portal was leading to whom, distracting the Tamer opposite Shane.

His tamed beasts were also distracted for a moment which was however not enough to attack them off-guard.

Yet, Shane could only smile as he instructed Cosmo to do something.

A moment later Shane exerted the [Slaughterer's Path] technique, overclocking it while halting his exertion of the [Light steps] movement technique.

Distinct bloodlust leaked from his body as Shane thought about the possibility of his death, and the consequences this would have for his tamed beasts and every single living being inside the Hidden Paradise.

With that, he released his killing intent too, intertwining it to create a dense bloodlust-killing intent that enveloped his body and the Invincible Scimitar in his hand.

Not wasting any time he inserted a ginormous amount of mana, in addition to half of the stored mana from the [Endless accumulation] ability that his Scimitar had, into it, enhancing the weapon drastically.

While Shane had focused on powering up, Cosmo hadn't remained idle.

He had used his [Space Jump] ability to create a spatial portal right in front of Shane with its twin a meter behind his opponent, who had a Taming occupation at the [Diamond] quality.

This might be extremely beneficial, but Shane knew the weakness almost every Tamer with a high-quality occupation had!

They relied too much on their tamed beasts without thinking about their own defense, or the possibility of being attacked.

Most tamers would change their combat style once they survived an ambush or sudden attack from their opponents, but it looked like the Tamer in front of him never had to face something like this.

Because of that, Shane emerged behind him only a quarter of a second after Cosmo had utilized the [Space Jump] ability.

Brandishing the Invincible Scimitar in front of his opponent, Shane cut through the air creating faint swishing sounds.

Unbeknownst to Shane, the Tamer had expected him to move exactly as he had done.

When he sensed something, he immediately activated one of his least used occupational skills that could only be used thrice a day with a tremendous consumption of mana.

[Tamed switch] switch your position with one of your tamed beasts.

With that skill activated, the Tamer switched his position with that of one of his tamed beasts.

Even though Shane noticed that something was going on, he didn't stop his swing at the faintly glowing Tamer in front of him.

Without a warning, he enlarged, only to be switched with the thousand layer shield tortoise that was one of the unscathed Overlord beasts he had.

The Tamer was confident that his tamed beast's shield was more than enough to deflect Shane's attack which was the reason for him to switch to that beast.

However, Shane could only smile faintly.

To him, it didn't matter whether he attacked the Tamer directly, or one of his tamed beasts, killing one opponent meant that he had to fight one less!

As such, he exerted every ounce of strength within his body to continue brandishing the Invincible Scimitar at the thousand layer shield tortoise.

It stared at him in fear sensing the Invincible Scimitar's dangers, only to curl up inside its shell.

Unfortunately, this was to no avail because Shane hadn't aimed at one of the tortoise's soft spots, to begin with.

Severing through the thick shell of the tortoise, Shane's Scimitar didn't even make a sound, and just consumed the mana it had been enhanced with, to issue one lethal blow!

The shell broke apart and a huge fountain of warm crimson-red blood spurted out of the deep wound he had inflicted.

Within the next few seconds, the tortoise was bound to die, and Shane was about to finish it off for sure, as several notifications popped up in his mind.

However, before he could take a look at them, Shane sensed death approaching him.

At that moment, he wanted to activate his [Berserk(F)] Skill from the [Berserk Hunter] title he had just switched to, in order to save his life. Meanwhile, his entire body bulged with massive amounts of strength pumping through his veins.

Every single cell of his body ached and it was as if he was refining his body without enough nutrition, only to cultivate at the exact time without enough mana.

Instinctively, he transferred more mana from the Hidden Paradise to his mana pool, only to sense that his mana pool had enlarged.

'What is going on?' He wondered as the lightly injured Orcan Panther and unscathed Titan Gorilla emerged right next to him.

Their moves seemed to have slowed down a lot since their fight had begun because Shane could see every single of their moves!

As such, he simply pushed his feet from the ground to evade the other Orcan Panther's razor-sharp claws that were further accelerated by strong wind currents.

The ground below him cracked, and Shane noticed that his speed had increased drastically. He hadn't even utilized the [Berserk] skill, but his strength and speed seemed to have changed by a large margin, while his mana pool had enlarged!

At that moment, he threw a quick glance at the notification he had received which caused his eyes to widen in disbelief.

'That's possible??'

In fact, Shane had just seen a total of four words, but that had already been enough for him to feel excitement course through him.

[amplify the master's strength]

He hadn't known that an Innate Skill could do something like this, and Shane was unable to think of another reason but his upgrade missions to make this possible.

'Was the thousand layer shield tortoise the 20th Overlord I defeated?? But how come I unsealed such a terrific kind of power? It's just too amazing!!'
