Chapter 205: The Male Lead Raises a Cat (21)

But he didn't immediately prepare lunch for Shen Mubai, instead, he went to make today's meal.

Shen Mubai meowed, "Meow meow meow?" Hey, human litter box, where's my food?

When a familiar fragrance spread throughout the living room, her eyes widened and she carefully sniffed with her nose before running towards it with excitement.

After circling around the boy's legs a few times, Shen Mubai sat on the ground and lifted her head, "meow~"

No cat can resist fish, and Shen Mubai, who already had a weak spot for food, was even more susceptible now that she was in this body that had become somewhat assimilated to her.

Shen Mubai drooled while staring at the pot that was being cooked, her saliva almost dripping down.

However, Jiang Yiran remained indifferent and silently focused on his cooking.

Unable to resist, Shen Mubai wandered around him and rubbed against his legs, occasionally letting out a soft, sweet meow.

Jiang Yiran paused slightly while slicing ginger, then looked down at the cat who was staring at him with big eyes, before resuming his cooking without acknowledging her.

Shen Mubai went away, dejected.

She sat on the tatami and rolled around, feeling disappointed and muttering to herself, "Jiang Yiran, you big jerk!"

Any servant who doesn't feed their cat fish is unqualified!

The scent of the fish grew stronger and stronger, and Shen Mubai could only watch as the man brought out the fish and served himself a bowl of rice.

Unable to resist, she turned her back towards Jiang Yiran and rested her head on the edge of the tatami, staring sadly at the grass outside the French window.

"Let's eat." A icy and cold voice rang out, very pleasant to the ears.

Shen Mubai turned around and met those deep eyes, still cold and indifferent. After Jiang Yiran finished speaking, he turned and walked away.

She lifted her head and saw a plate of white rice on the other end of the dining table.

Shen Mubai widened her eyes and her furry ears trembled involuntarily as she remembered what he said earlier today. She understood what he meant and quickly jumped off the tatami mat, running towards the dining table.

Jiang Yiran replaced her chair with a better one that was just the right height and comfort. Shen Mubai sat on it, easily able to reach the white rice on the plate.

Huh? White rice?

Wait a minute, Shen Mubai lowered her head and looked at the plate. Yes, there was only white rice in front of her.

Staring at the other end of the table with round eyes, she asked, "Meow meow meow?" Where is my food?

Jiang Yiran lowered his eyes slightly and elegantly used his chopsticks to pick up the fish meat, carefully removing the fish bones.

Shen Mubai almost burst into tears, feeling both wronged and angry, as she ate the plain white rice.

After what felt like an eternity, another plate appeared in front of her, with pieces of fish meat. She quickly raised her head and saw Jiang Yiran standing beside her. Their eyes met for just a few seconds, then he returned to his original position, elegantly and unhurriedly eating his own lunch.

Shen Mubai looked down at the white meat with no visible fish bones and was moved to tears.

The fish had no seasoning, but it unexpectedly tasted delicious. Shen Mubai thought regretfully in her heart that it would have been even better with some chili peppers.
