Jian Shiwu stood up and said respectfully, "Teacher, I can't see the blackboard from the back. There is no one sitting in the front two rows. Can I sit there?"

There was indeed a place in the front, and because none of the students were transferred to their class, it was left vacated.

Huang Jia was taken aback: "In front?"

The other classmates were also a little surprised, they all thought that Jian Shiwu wanted to sit next to Shen Cheng.

Jian Shiwu said, "Teacher, is it alright?"

"...It’s okay, you can move."

Jian Shiwu said obediently, "Thank you, teacher."

He was frank, and the reasons given were very normal, the seat was in the fourth row, and it was far away from Shen Cheng. No matter how one looked at it, no one could see any ambiguous reasons.

But…just because it looks normal, doesn’t mean it's not normal, right?!

Who is that? That's Jian Shiwu who doesn't know how to do anything, is the last one through the door. The troublemaker who was named and criticized at every morning meeting, actually wants to learn?

There was a lot of discussion:

"what the hell?"

"What is he planing to do?"

"Maybe he thought of a new way to harass classmate Shen."

"Toad wants to eat a swan."

"Hahaha, keep your voice down."

Voice sounded through the classroom.

Huang Jia patted the table: "Quiet!"

For a moment, the classroom was silent.

"There was an accident at the cram school in front of our school." Huang Jia cleared her throat: "During the winter vacation, a child was almost abducted by traffickers. Although the traffickers have been arrested, it is difficult to guarantee that there are no accomplices left, so, for the safety of everyone, and also to assist the police uncles in their work, the school stipulates that from this month to the end of the month, all day students must be picked up by their parents.”

When the words fell, there was an uproar in the classroom.

Huang Jia said: "That's it, class monitor, arrange for self study. I’m going back to the office, and we’ll start normal classes in the afternoon."

As soon as the class teacher left, the class exploded. Many children were discussing how to tell their parents about the school's new regulation of being picked up and dropped off in the future. This matter concerns everyone, so everyone is talking about it, even Liu Heng is hooked. He shook his head and said, "I won't be free after school in the future."

Jian Shiwu is checking the newly released book for self study: "Why is there no freedom?"

"If my mother comes to pick me up, I won't be able to play after school. She will tell me to go back back to do my homework." Liu Heng pouted: "It's annoying."

Jian Shiwu vaguely responded and continued to flip through the book.

Liu Heng poked his fat arm: "Were you serious?"

"What?"

"Do you really want to study hard?" Liu Heng couldn't believe it.

"I feel like you have been possessed by something since the winter vacation, and your mind is not clear!"

Jian Shiwu's ears hurt because of his exclamation: "Don't shout."

Because of the loudness to Liu Heng’s voice, many people looked over at them.

Jian Shiwu took a deep breath, and the chubby boy’s fleshy face was filled with seriousness as he said to Liu Heng, "I'm very awake, and I've never been more awake than now."

Liu Heng was stunned.

"You..." He looked at Jian Shiwu: "Is it for Shen Cheng?"

Jian Shi didn’t react.

The answer to this question could be yes or no.

In the end, he could only answer, "I'm studying for myself now."

Liu Heng stared blankly at the little fat boy in front of him, their eyes met. Just when Jian Shiwu thought that Liu Heng would applaud and be moved by his current self-consciousness, he saw Liu Heng wipe his face, and saY:

"It's over. It's over, you were really rebuked into a fool that you even started talking nonsense."

"..."

Jian Shiwu clenched his fists and decided to ignore him.

It was clear that the sun was shining and it was a little hot in the morning, but by the time school was over, it started to rain heavily.

The rain did not stop, and it was accompanied by heavy lightning and thunder which was nerve wrecking. Fortunately, parents had long been notified that they were supposed to come pick up their children, so they all came with umbrellas.

The school organized the children to wait downstairs in an orderly manner and wait for the parents to come over with umbrellas. Because of the new regulations, the students were not allowed to leave the school without permission, and they had to be picked up by their parents before they could leave.

Jian Shiwu and Liu Heng stood at the innermost part of the building.

Liu Heng said, "My driver said that there is traffic jam, and it will take half an hour to arrive. Where are your parents?"

Many parents had picked up their children. There are fifty or sixty people in the whole class, but there are now less than twenty people standing in front of the class, scattered in places.

Jian Shiwu said, "My dad said I wait for a bit."

Jian Shiwu felt a little strange. In the past life, his father was the first to pick him up, and he was among the first to leave, but now he is late.

Something that deviated from memory made him feel weird, lest something went wrong.

Liu Heng patted him on the shoulder: "Look over there."

The two of them are at a slightly elevated place, and from there, one can see everyone infront of the class at a glance including Shen Cheng.

There were many people there and it with therain, the place became humid and hot, the crowd was bustling, making the area noisy and chaotic.

Not far away, the young man standing under the eaves by the flower bed leaned against the wall silently. He is wearing a blue and white school uniform, clean and had a cold look. There is no superfluous expression on his face, and he does not say a word.

He's the kind of guy who never gets overwhelmed and he doesn't show off.

Liu Heng leaned over and said, "Look at those girls over there, they all came to see Shen Cheng."

Jian Shiwu looked over, and sure enough, he saw a few girls not far away shyly and secretly glancing at him, looking eager to make a conversation, but unfortunately Shen Cheng was ruthless, and he didn't give them a glance from beginning to end. But it is precisely because of his aloofness, because of his indifference, that he is more attractive.

"Tsk."

Liu Heng said, "Aren't you going to go?"

Jian Shiwu was shocked: "And what am I going to go do there?!"

He wants to live a few more years, okay?

"Ask if you want to give him a ride." Liu Heng smiled and said, "You know, no one in his family will come to pick him up. His mother is busy playing mahjong and gambling all day and doesn't care about Shen Cheng, his father is a cripple so it is strenuous to walk, and in this weather, I don’t think he is going anywhere."

Jian Shiwu frowned subconsciously, his feet moved slightly, but in the next second, his whole body trembled slightly and froze in place.

Liu Heng said, "What's wrong?"

Jian Shiwu's eyes looked at Shen Cheng for a moment, his heart seemed to be seizing up, and his throat was a little dry: "It's nothing."

It was just this morning that he said to stop entangling and pestering him, and now he almost forgot about his promise.

In his previous life, because he left early, Liu Heng didn't get to ask him this question at all, and he didn't know the rain became so heavy. So how did Shen Cheng go back, what happened, and why did it change?

Jian Shiwu raised his eyes unexpectedly, and looked Shen Cheng who was not far away.

It was misty, the young man's face was slightly looking sideways, there was no unnecessary emotion on that handsome face, his dark eyes were unfathomable, his back was straight, and slowly, through the mist, it seemed that Jian Shiwu was seeing the him of more than a dozen Years later, Shen Cheng, the decisive overlord of a business empire, the ruthless and fearless wolf, although now he is only a 14-year-old child, alone and no one to care about him.

"Anshi!"

A familiar call came from not far away.

Father Jian came over with an umbrella, and he found his little fat son in the crowd: "Dad is sorry he is late."

Holding the child's little hand, Jian's father smiled kindly when he saw Liu Heng: "Is it Liu Heng, uncle came by car, do you want to go back together?"

Liu Heng quickly said, "Thank you, uncle, but my driver will be here shortly."

Only then did Father Jian pull Jian Shiwu to leave. The path they were going to take would bypass by Shen Cheng. More parents came in and were looking  around for their children, while some children were on the phone because their parents hadn't come yet. Notifications were constantly playing with the back to back communication.

All of this didn’t concern Shen Cheng.

The waiting child wouldn’t look around and he was just standing there quietly, not waiting for anyone, not expecting anyone to come.

The thunder boomed, but the boy remained motionless, letting the rain be blown into the square by the wind, making his clothes half-wet.

"Shen...cheng..."

Jian Shiwu turned back quietly, unable to see his face through the rain curtain.

Jian's father dragged his little chubby son and walked quickly to the car, not leaving Jian Shiwu more time to stop, the rain was hitting the umbrella and the sound was deafening. Jian's father started driving, but with the traffic jam,it took another half an hour to reach home.

Jian Shiwu went to the bathroom to take a shower. When he came out, his face looked very bad, and his father was startled: "Son, have you caught a cold?"

Jian Shiwu shook his head: "No."

Zhen Meili went out shopping today. After she came back, she cooked a simple meal. It was still raining continuously outside, and it didn’t look like it will rest. The family gathered around the dining table to eat.

While eating, Zhen Meili asked Jian's father, "Do you know what I saw on the drive home.” His father asked softly what was it.

Jian's mother lamented sadly: "When I came over from Hongxi Road, I actually saw a child in their school uniform walking in the rain without even an umbrella."

The school is five or six kilometers away from Hongxi Road, and it takes more than an hour to walk. The journey is long, and it is still raining heavily today.

Jian Shiwu who was eating quietly suddenly widened his eyes, and in a trance, with a splitting headache, a figure flashed in his mind.

"Mom."

Putting down his rice bowl, Jian Shiwu's blood coagulated a little: "Is that student wearing a light blue striped school uniform?"

Jian's mother was taken aback: "It seems... yes."

The air in the room was warm, but in an instant, Jian Shiwu felt cold all over his body, and even for a moment, he felt that the world had gone dark. Everyone else bought new school uniforms last semester, only Shen Cheng still wore the old one.

Zhen Meili said to herself, "Now you know how lucky you are. With how much rain there is today, where is that child's house, hey, when you were young, didn’t you know him?"

A muffled thunder sounded just outside the window, the majestic rain poured down more heavily, the world was noisy and chaotic but Jian Shiwu couldn’t utter a word.

The weather was cold and the torrential rain was freezing to the bone.

Shen Cheng walked from dawn to dusk alone in the heavy rain, and no one offered him a ride from beginning to end.
