29. Crack

“Healer?”

Kim Jae-Hyung reached out to Ye-Hyeon. However, just before his big and rugged hands grabbed Ye-Hyeon’s shoulder, someone had already grabbed him by the neck.

“Cough…”

The shock of the robe hood pulling hard made him choke for a moment. Ye-Hyeon opened his mouth to breathe.

The person who grabbed the back of his neck soon grabbed and squeezed the cold glass bottle entrance cruelly through Ye-Hyeon’s lips.

“Cough…….”

The slippery liquid flowed down his throat. Ye-Hyeon swallowed the liquid desperately while coughing.

As soon as the liquid was swallowed forcibly, the terrible headache immediately subsided.

Ye-Hyeon blinked quickly. Physiologically, tears rolled down the corners of his eyes.

As the view of the street brightened, Ye-Hyeon was finally able to recognize the person who grabbed him. It was Shin Do-Gyeom.

Shin Do-Gyeom looked down at Ye-Hyeon with an expressionless face and threw an empty Mana potion bottle on the floor.

“Hey, get out of the way.”

Yoon Seung-Jae ran in a hurry and pushed Shin Do-Gyeom with his shoulder. He hugged Ye-Hyeon.

Shin Do-Gyeom took a few steps backward after being hit. He glared at Yoon Seung-Jae

“Hey, are you okay? What’s wrong with you all of a sudden?”

Yoon Seung-Jae carefully wiped Ye-Hyeon’s wet lips and examined his complexion.

“What did you do?”

“It’s not like that. Hunter Kim Jae-Hyung is not at fault…….”

Ye-Hyeon leaned on his arm and Yoon Seung-Jae stopped looking suspiciously at Kim Jae-Hyung.

Fortunately, his dizziness vanished and his condition quickly got better. Ye-Hyeon checked the status window. His mana obviously half full a few seconds ago, was crawling on the floor.

He saw an empty Mana potion bottle on the floor. Ye-Hyeon felt like his condition seemed to have deteriorated due to the sudden depletion of mana.

Even though the method was rough, it was like overcoming the crisis thanks to Shin Do-Hyeom. Ye-Hyeon was going to say thank you, but Shin Do-Gyeom was already far away.

“Well, are you all right, Mr. Healer?”

Kim Jae-Hyung was at a loss about what to do with the sudden situation.

“Yes, well…”

Ye-Hyeon smiled awkwardly and nodded. Perhaps because of the incorrect swallowing of the potion, the cough broke out again belatedly.

“Did you treat any old wounds?”

Baek Hae-Won poked his head out from behind Yoon Seung-Jae and examined Ye-Hyeon’s condition.

“Yes, yes. That’s right.”

Kim Jae-Hyung answered instead of Ye-Hyeon, who was busy coughing. Baek Hae-Won narrowed his eyes as he scanned Ye-Hyeon up and down.

“The longer the wound gets, the more mana and healer use. It’s more burden to the body. I don’t know the exact details because I’ve only heard about it.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Healer. Because of me….”

At Baek Hae-Won’s words, Kim Jae-Hyung quickly turned pale.

Ye-Hyeon shook his head in a hurry.

“……I didn’t know because it was my first time.”

Ye-Hyeon narrowed his brows slightly. Anyway, even if the rich used their money to get rid of the scars, the healer’s fees are still expensive.

“I’ll finish your treatment.”

“That’s enough.”

Kim Jae-Hyung muttered, hiding his half-improved wound behind his back.

“How can I end it halfway? I said I’d do it.”

“Hyung, don’t overdo it.”

Yoon Seung-Jae grabbed Ye-Hyeon’s wrist discontentedly. Ye-Hyeon patted the back of his hand. “I was just shocked for a moment because my mana suddenly decreased. It’ll be okay if I do it while drinking a potion.” Kwon Joo-Ho was listening in silence and suddenly held out a potion.

“……Thank you.”

Ye-Hyeon slowly held out his hand. Kwon Joo-Ho handed the potion to Ye-Hyeon’s palm as if throwing it.

He is trying to take care of Ye-Hyeon, but he doesn’t feel good.

‘Does he want me to drink a potion because vomiting would be unsightly?’Jen asked with a slight curl of her lips. Kwon Joo-ho’s behavior was interpreted sharply for no reason.

Ye-Hyeon slowly drank with one hand and healed with the other while watching his status window. His mana repeatedly shrank and suddenly disappeared in droves.

“Oh, this is the problem.”

Ye-Hyeon quickly swallowed a mana potion as he saw Mana half of his mana disappear.

“Does it hurt? Do you want more potions?”

Yoon Seung-Jae was restless and circled around Ye-Hyeon with mana potions in both hands.

“It’s all right.”

Ye-Hyeon replied in a slightly suppressed voice. He is controlling his mana, so there should be no problem now, and the nausea was much better than suddenly hitting him without any preparation. Tears welled up around his eyes because he was holding back his nausea.

“Take a break.”

Despite Yoon Seung-Jae’s worries, Ye-Hyeon held his breath and shook his head. He thought it would be better to finish it at once.

“……it’s over.”

After a while, Ye-Hyeon sighed. His finger didn’t grow back, but the injury has become smooth enough not to be so gross.

“Thank you, thank you.”

Kim Jae-Hyung almost cried holding Ye-Hyeon’s hand.

When Ye-Hyeon barely soothed Kim Jae-Hyung and returned to his seat.

“How stupid.”

He could hear Shin Dong-gyeom’s sarcastic remarks behind his back.

Ye-Hyeon looked back slowly. Shin Do-Gyeom was looking at Ye-Hyeon with a sharp look enough to cut something.

“Shin Do-Gyeom, can you stop teasing hyung?”

Yoon Seung-Jae stepped up on behalf of Ye-Hyeon as usual.

If Ye-Hyeon just smiled awkwardly like this, it would have ended.

“……what did you just say?”

Ye-Hyeon knew it, but he couldn’t stay still. Ye-Hyeon asked again as calmly as possible. But the end of the sentence trembled slightly.

“Its stupid to go around without knowing your own capabilities.”

Shin Do-Gyeom replied.

Ye-Hyeon’s brown eyes shook unsteadily.

Ye-Hyeon was overwhelmed by just surviving each day and trying to interact with others. When he was in school, he pretended to hang out with his friends to not worry my sister, but in fact, it was a waste of time to laugh and chat leisurely.

The only thing Ye-Hyeon learned since he started his social life was to cover up everything, whether it was unfair or he was angry, he would laugh. Ye-Hyeon was always in the position of absolute inferiority in both the company and the dungeon.

Ye-Hyeon’s unilateral patience was not just nice or stupid. After spending a long time in a position where he couldn’t dare to say no even if he didn’t like it, he was bound to have a low self-esteem.

Even in a hopeless situation, Ye-Hyeon was doing his best. He doesn’t know how to get close to other people, but at least he wants to be seen.

Whatever harsh things he heard, Ye-Hyeon is used to holding it in and laughing recklessly, and at least on the surface, their relationship seemed smooth. That was enough when he was working as a supporter.

However, it didn’t even work for Shin Do-Gyeom. Shin Do-Gyeom was even more feisty when Ye-Hyeon smiled like that.

Everything Ye-Hyeon had been doing so far, believing it to be the answer, seemed to have been ruined.

No matter how much he is a believer and even if he is always arguing, Ye-Hyeon couldn’t have been in a good mood all the time. HE has reached its limit. It wasn’t all right anymore.

Does he really have a problem?’

Seeing that not only Shin Do-Gyeom but also Kwon Joo-Ho hated him for no reason, he thought he must have been the problem.

If Ye-Hyeon knew the reason, he would fix it, but he didn’t like Shin Do-Hyeom’s words and actions. He wanted to pick a fight.

“Why are you only doing this to me?”

Ye-Hyeon still wanted to get close to Shin Do-Gyeom. Is it because it was right after he saw Shin Do-Hyeom, who tries to grow further while bending his pride? The disappointment was much greater.

The accumulated injustice caused him to be upset, and the upset soon became anger. His eyes were turning red. Ye-Hyeon gritted his teeth with a smiley face and clenched his fists.

“Hey, Shin Do-Gyeom, you usually pick a fight over something weird. You know, just ignore it.”

Yoon Seung-Jae was surprised when Ye-Hyeon reacted differently. No matter what Shin Do-Gyeom was saying Ye-Hyeon would usually just accept it passively. Ye-Hyeon walked slowly to Shin Do-Gyeom. Not only Yoon Seung-Jae but also Baek Hae-Won and Kwon Joo-Ho, focused on them. “Did I cause any harm to you, Shin Dong-gyeom?””

For the first time, Ye-Hyeon talked back to Shin Do-Gyeom. Ye-Hyeon’s tone, which was quite sweet, although not gentle, was full of aggression.

“Yes, thank you for helping me earlier. But did I fail the treatment? Or did you get hurt? Is there a reason for me to be called stupid by you?”

The more he spoke, the more emotional he became. Ye-Hyeon tried to keep his composure, but his voice grew louder and louder.

“Hyung…”

Yoon Seung-Jae looked tearful and pulled Ye-Hyeon’s cuffs weakly.

Ye-Hyeon glared at Shin Do-Gyeom regardless. Shin Do-Gyeom only looked at Ye-Hyeon with a cool face.

Ye-Hyeon was momentarily choked up by Shin Dong-gyeom’s cold attitude, which seemed to be unaffected by whatever he said. He was the only one who was nervous and upset.

“Didn’t you also try to fight with a wounded hand? Isn’t that stupid?”

Ye-Hyeon know that it was not something to nitpick about, but he couldn’t stop talking. sharpened

It was very uncomfortable when he couldn’t control his emotions.

Ye-Hyeon is used to holding back his anger, far from expressing it. Ye-Hyeon hesitated because he didn’t know how to deal with unfamiliar emotions.

“Are you done venting your anger already? Why don’t you do more?”

Shin Do-Gyeom said sourly, looking down at Ye-Hyeon at an angle.

“I’m now……!”

Ye-Hyeon was angry at Shin Do-Gyeom, who only treated him as a way to vent. However, instead of protesting, Ye-Hyeon turned around, biting the soft flesh in his mouth. Even if he talked more now, it seemed that the fight would only grow.

Ye-Hyeon walked to the corner and nervously swept his hair up. His hands trembled.

Where did it go wrong? Is it over with Shin Do-Gyeom forever?’

There was a sense of shame. Ye-Hyeon felt like he ruined everything.

SDG wanted YH to express his feelings and gets annoyed by his fake smile, but his approach is kinda wrong for me.
