The final message flashed on the screen and the whole thing disappeared, leaving Zoemi and the original personality in complete silence.

Now I understand why you didn't want to watch it until the end...

...

The black-haired boy thought, and his voice echoed through the murky darkness – the original personality said nothing, but Zomei could sense that he was nodding in confirmation.

Well then... nothing else is showing, so that means that Bellcephora should...

*RUBLE*

...?!

?!?!?!

The boy thought, and as if responding to him, the whole space trembled and...

--------------

*WHAM*

"GHUAGH...!"

The gold-haired second prince with his body shining brilliantly from the extreme enchantments that caused a tremendous air quake, launched himself at the imposing woman and delivered a devastating punch at her stomach, that forced her to bend in half and spat out blood.

"You bitch think that stopping time can affect me at my full power?! What the fuck do you think you are doing to Zoemi?!"

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

Despite everyone else being frozen in time, Horeo roared and unleashed a secondary attack that launched Bellcephora straight into the ceiling of the meeting room, breaking it apart in a massive explosion.

"!!!"

Zoemi shook his head like a dog who just got out of the bath, and stared at the fight in disbelief.

"DO NOT INTERFERE, YOU LOUSY DESCENDANT OF MINE!"

*####################*

Bellcephora growled, furious from embarrassment as she launched a beam of blinding light at the gold-haired young man in retaliation while she was falling back to the floor.

"Hmph!"

Horeo only scoffed and let the attack be blocked by the spheres of light orbiting his body.

"One of us here is lousy, but it's most definitely not me!"

*SLAM* *WHAM*

"!!!!!"

The gold-haired prince snickered mockingly and teleported next to the imposing woman, slapping her straight in the face with enough power to pummel her into the floor.

"...you... you are not supposed to be this strong...! You weren't that strong...!"

Bellcpehora groaned, glaring at her descendant from the floor level.

"I don't give a shit what some inferior trash thinks. You might have some plans, but I have mine too. Do not get in my way if you cherish your life."

Horeo glared down at her and scoffed, somehow managing to pour even more mana into his enchantments, causing the entire meeting room to look like a blur because of the ridiculously powerful air quake.

"Gh-ugh...!"

Unfortunately, so much mana concentrating in a confined space made the black-haired boy experience severe pain and he gasped for air, grabbing his stomach just as if he was the one getting punched in the gut.

"...huh...? Zoemi?!"

Horeo went wide-eyed, realizing that Zoemi wasn't affected by the time-stopping spell, and called out in worry seeing his friend crumbling down to the floor.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

Without wasting time on speaking with Bellcephora, the gold-haired young man stomped on her head, breaking the floor with it and nocking the woman out cold.

With her out of the picture at least for a moment, Horeo rushed to Zoemi's side, releasing his enchantments and leaving only the defensive spheres of light floating around him and the black-haired boy.

"Zoemi...! How bad is it...?!"

The gold-haired young man knew that his best friend would not fall over because of some insignificant injury, so he didn't ask something like – are you alright?

Zoemi clearly wasn't feeling good.

Your state is far worse than ever before... your body is at its limit when it comes to tolerating mana...

The voice of the original personality resounded in the black-haired boy's head, who could only grit his teeth in pain while holding on to his consciousness the best he could.

Unfortunately even it seems that even if you wanted to personally repeat some of the events from the timeline that we were shown and improve on them, you would die from the mana poisoning long before delivering the final blow.

The original personality breathed out in extreme disappointment.

"L-lady Bellcephora...?!"

just as Zoemi was concentrating on himself, and Horeo was concentrating on him, the spell that the imposing woman had cast on the outside world was released and its effects faded away, causing the other people to begin moving again.

And of course, one of the first things that they noticed was the destruction of the room and the unconscious body of the sage guarding the entire kingdom.

...that wasn't a good thing...

"Capture the former king and queen!"

"!!!"

The leader of the King's Guard roared, realizing the mistake, but it was too late – the man who was about to be assassinated by his own son, grabbed his wife and disappeared in the flash of a golden light fraction of a second faster than anyone could reach him.

"..."

That created a bit of an awkward situation.

The other high nobles were left in their place with their defensive spells active, nervously awaiting the next move.

Did the coup d'etat work or not...?

Will the treacherous first prince and the King's Guard attempt to kill them off to erase the uncomfortable witnesses?

"My king... I will be fine..."

Zoemi muttered through his teeth, trying to get up but he found himself unable to straighten his back...

*thump*

And would have fallen flat on the ground if not for the gold-haired young man's timely reaction.

"Bullshit – we need to get you some help. I will get the healer girl here and..."

"My king – I only need my sentinels to regulate the amount of mana within my body... it really will be alright. You have a lot of damage control to do..."

Horeo scoffed and was helping Zoemi get up, but the black-haired boy grabbed his hand and looked at him with clear eyes, before glancing over at the aristocrats by the table.

"..."

The gold-haired youth closed his mouth and stared at his best friend for a few more seconds.

For Zoemi it was a monumental task to keep a straight face without showing off any pain that was currently ravaging his body – but he pulled it off.

"You are right. I always knew you would be best suited for my advisor."

Horeo ended up releasing a deep sigh and nodded, gently letting go of his friend and standing up to face the most influential people in the kingdom.

Instead of giving some grand speech, the gold-haired young man casually strolled towards the seat that his father left in such a hurry.

He grabbed the unconscious Bellcephora off the floor by the collar of her robe and dragged her with him, before seating himself on the king's place and propping her up on the other seat.

"..."

Before he started talking, Horeo ended up moving the woman's face in such a way that it was displayed better, so that everyone could see her clearly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I will assume that anyone who recognizes the person on my right is now willing to support my rapid ascension on the throne. Is that correct?"

"!!!!"

Only one or two people seemed clueless about the meaning of Horeo's words – most of the high nobles straightened their backs as their faces became pale as freshly washed sheets.

"The previous king had fled cowardly, leaving all of you here to save himself – which in my opinion can be counted as high treason and gives us the right to abolish him and elect a new one. Me."

The gold-haired young man smiled charmingly, but the overwhelming aura surrounding him was weighing down everyone in the room, clearing out any doubts that could arise in the hearts of the listeners.

That wasn't a suggestion, assumption, or opinion.

It was the next step in the history of the Kingdom of Bellcephora and Horeo would take it.

The choice that everyone else had in front of them, was to follow him or try to oppose him and perish.

How could anyone even think about picking up a fight with a man who easily knocked out the sage unanimously believed to be the strongest of them all?

"Let's see... how about we go with the story that the queen was being controlled by a mage from another country and by seducing the king she tried to bring our kingdom to ruin? You were all gathered here by them to be assassinated and replaced by traitors loyal to her, but thankfully the whole thing was discovered by me and the King's Guard. The tragedy was stopped ut the pair fled, most likely to the country that orchestrated it all. As the new king, I am calling for voting on the idea."

Horeo called out in a refreshing voice.

Not even the two aristocrats who didn't recognize lady Bellcephora dared to point out that appointing him the king required separate voting, as everyone could imagine the reaction that such a question could bring.

"Wh-what kingdom should we push the blame onto...?"

Lord Moyena raised his hand and asked in a trembling voice – after seeing the unconscious sage he lost every bit of confidence in his body, leaving him a horrified husk.

...which could be because he secretly changed sides and was going to support the queen and her bastard son's claim to the throne – which in the current situation sounded like a certain death sentence signed to his name if it was discovered...

"That we can leave a mystery for a while longer – for now, we should concentrate on making sure that everyone knows about the former royal couple's treason."

Horeo smiled, looking quite mysteriously at lord Moyena as if he knew something, which made the middle-aged man start sweating profusely.

"What should we do about the second prince?"

Lord Derizno managed to keep a dignified front and asked – but even he tried to not make his words sound as if he wanted to question Horeo's rights to the throne or suggest another candidate.

"He will be dealt with appropriately after accessing his stance."

Horeo shrugged his shoulders and tilted his head slightly, looking over at the head of the Derizno family – it was well known that originally, they all were standing firmly behind the second prince Surou, after all.

"I see. I agree with your majesty's idea about the former royal couple."

Lord Derizno nodded his head without changing his composed expression, and added, raising his hand for everyone to see.

"I also agree!"

Lord Moyena's hand hurriedly shot up too.

Soon, one by one every high noble raised their hands in unanimous agreement.

"..."

The young gold-haired king made eye contact with every single voting aristocrat - some of whom were fearful, some angry, and some actually content - before he glanced back to check on his best friend.

Surprisingly enough, Zoemi was no longer alone, and instead, he had two androgynous youngsters standing on both sides, holding their hands on his shoulders.

It seemed like the two were always there, and certainly judging by the confused faces of the members of the King's Guards, none of them realized when or how the two appeared.

"King Horeo Marets Bellcephora has the full support of the Banemor family."

Still, sensing the gold-haired young man's look on him, the black-haired boy smirked reassuringly and raised his hands, declaring in a calm voice.
