Chapter 39 Wanted to Take His Money

“Boss, I’m not trying to obstruct your business. It’s you who’s pushing business away.” Xiao Yun was not angry as he continued to stand in front of the stall.

Hearing this, the seller finally took a proper look at Xiao Yun, but he was still not happy. Instead, he snorted with disdain, judged Xiao Yun, and said, “Business? Are you referring to yourself?”

Xiao Yun nodded silently, then spread his hands as if to say, “Is there a problem?”

Unexpectedly, the seller simply sneered even more. “Kid, don’t make a scene. Do you have money? Just scram. Don’t bother me, or I’ll teach you a lesson.”

As he spoke, the seller stepped on the table.

Xiao Yun took out a hundred-dollar bill from his pocket and used his middle finger and index finger to hold it. He waved it in front of the seller without saying anything.

The boss did not expect Xiao Yun to even have such money, so he was stunned for a while. When he had judged Xiao Yun earlier, he could tell that there wasn’t a single branded item on him despite his clean look. The clothes on him were obviously from a street stall. That was why the seller was so quick to determine that Xiao Yun didn’t have money, but was here to cause trouble instead.

But now that Xiao Yun had already taken out the money, there was no reason for doubt any longer.

He slowly put his feet down from the table, but his eyes were still staring at Xiao Yun unkindly.

It seemed like he still wanted to intimidate Xiao Yun. After all, Xiao Yun had been acting too indifferently ever since he stopped by his stall. And this pissed the seller off.

The boss took the object that Xiao Yun had just mentioned and handed it to Xiao Yun without wiping it off.

But Xiao Yun didn’t mind. After taking it, he rubbed it twice on his body and the gem was instantly cleaned.

Xiao Yun silently apologized to Xiao He. After all, Xiao He usually washed the clothes at home but here his son was conveniently using the clothes as a rage. He just hoped that Xiao He would not fly into a rage when he saw his shirt.

Xiao Yun moved the gem closer to the light and carefully observed it.

The seller saw how serious Xiao Yun looked, as if he was a real expert. And yet, the boss maintained his look of disdain towards the boy.

He had only one word in his thoughts: faker.

Xiao Yun kept recalling what the appraiser in his previous life had said about what a real gem looked like.

To be honest, Xiao Yun wasn’t too sure, but the gem did feel cold.

Since he wasn’t in a hurry, he continued to hold it in his hand again, closed his eyes, and felt the weight.

The seller could no longer stand seeing him like this, so he impatiently said, “You little brat, don’t pretend to understand if you don’t. Hurry up and go home.”

Xiao Yun ignored him. After a while, Xiao Yun opened his eyes which now shone with determination.

Although he couldn’t be 100% sure that this gem was real, he was at least 80-90% sure. That was enough.

If he also tested the third property mentioned by the appraiser master, then Xiao Yun would be 100% sure.

However, the seller’s current facial expression convinced Xiao Yun that he would probably be knocked to the ground before he could even get his hands on a knife.

So Xiao Yun decided not to test the third property and to take a gamble instead. He felt that his luck had been pretty good since he was reborn, so this time, based on his intuition, this gem should be the real deal.

“Boss, how much are you selling this for?” asked Xiao Yun as he handed over the gem.

The seller thought to himself, ‘This kid is really stupid. I don’t know how long I’ve been betting on this thing, but this stupid kid actually took a fancy to it.’

Xiao Yun looked at the micro-expression on the seller’s face and could roughly guess what he was thinking about, but that wasn’t important.

What was important was to get the gem and find someone to confirm the authenticity of the gem, then sell it.

“Give me five hundred yuan for this.” The seller had already been making some losses, so he wanted more money to test his bottom line.

Besides, it was always good to make more money.

But Xiao Yun knew that the seller was ripping him off. He was not a spendthrift, so he could definitely not spend money that he should not spend.

Xiao Yun shook his head and said, “Boss, you are too dishonest. I sincerely want to buy it. If you are sincere to sell it too, then it should be more affordable.”

The seller had expected Xiao Yun to not have that much money, but he did not expect this kid to bargain with him. Moreover, he said it in such a mature tone.

This could not help but make the seller take a second look at the kid.

“Then how much would you say?” asked the seller in a bossy manner.

“Just a hundred yuan,” said Xiao Yun.

The seller straightened his neck and said, “That won’t do. At least three hundred yuan.”

“Seventy yuan,” said Xiao Yun. The seller: “250 yuan.”

Xiao Yun: “Fifty yuan.”

The boss: “Two hundred yuan.”

Xiao Yun: “Deal!”

Only then did the seller realize that Xiao Yun had defeated him.

Yes, Xiao Yun had originally planned to get this for two hundred yuan, which was already a pretty good price for him. If it wasn’t for him, the gem would have been left there for God knows how long.

The seller had thought about it and felt that two hundred yuan would be fine. After all, no one would buy it here. This way, he could earn at least another two hundred yuan. Xiao Yun felt that if he spent two hundred yuan, even if he had made a mistake and bought a fake, it wouldn’t be to the extent of going bankrupt. If he took his father into consideration, this would make him rich enough to be a rich second-generation kid.

With this thought in mind, Xiao Yun started to plan how to spend his money.

Xiao Yun had brought out all 1,200 yuan today, but he had divided them into two pockets. One pocket had a thousand yuan while the other pocket had two hundred yuan.

But when he was buying ice cream just now, he had used a hundred out of the two hundred yuan.

So now he needed to pull out some portion of the thousand yuan in the other pocket to make up the total amount before giving it to the seller.

Xiao Yun carefully tried to pull out one hundred yuan from his pocket. After all, he couldn’t show off his wealth in a place like this. He might be targeted by someone at any time.

But even though Xiao Yun was careful, he still couldn’t escape.

Just as he paid the bill and walked out, someone grabbed his arm.

Xiao Yun turned around and saw a person he didn’t know. He was as thin as a pole and his cheekbones were particularly prominent on both sides, but he was also particularly tall. His movement seemed a little uncoordinated.

Xiao Yun tried to pull his arm away twice, but he couldn’t. This man had a pretty big advantage over him.

“Please let go,” said Xiao Yun, suppressing his temper.
