First aid on the train 2

“Is the patient’s blood pressure within the normal range?” Lin Liqiong asked Aunt Fang.

“Yes.”

“There will be no problem then.”

“Exactly! Dr. Lin stated it is nothing! My husband is fine, according to Dr. Lin. You people are all bad! Dare to talk gibberish just to curse my husband.” Aunt Fang stomped her big feet and yelled at the same time.

Sun Rongfang gulped, but sensed that her daughter had changed today.  She didn’t understand what she had just said.

The remarks of Aunt Fang and Lin Liqiong’s mother and daughter were heard by the other passengers.

“What’s going on here?”

“According to the two , one is a doctor and the other is a medical student.”

“What is a medical student?”

“A student who is studying medicine. In the future, that student will be a doctor.”

“Then medical students should listen to the doctor?”

“That should be the case.”

“But both of them are medical students, right?”

The surrounding crowd was confused as they were listening.

Mother Lin, although hearing these people speak gibberish, held a proud posture and said, “You may not be aware, but within the medical students itself, they are classified into various levels. Higher level is equivalent to a doctor, whereas a lower level is equivalent to non-doctors. The higher ones exercise authority over the lesser ones.”

After hearing  Mother Lin’s tone, everyone thought the woman was angry, so they didn’t speak.

Sun Rongfang scratched her head and looked at her daughter with her eyes asking what to do.

Xie Wanying said, “Mom, we spoke what we needed to say and fulfilled our responsibilities.”

“What did you say? Say it again, my old man, you say—” Aunt Fang’s finger had just pointed to the tip of Xie Wanying’s nose when she was abruptly pulled by one hand. When she turned her head, she realized it was her husband who had grabbed her. She asked, “Old man, what’s the matter with you?”

“I’m in pain.” Uncle Fang exhibited a pained expression in front of his wife.

“Wife, it hurts.”

Aunt Fang caught her husband with both hands and urgently exclaimed, “Dr. Lin, aren’t you a doctor in the capital? Hurry up and help my old man, take a look, he said he has a common cold and feels pain everywhere.”

“How can a cold cause pain?” Mother Lin took a step ahead of her daughter to see the situation of Uncle Fang. She looked down and observed his expression, “It seems to be a high fever.”

Uncle Fang’s face broke out into a heavy sweat, which was a bit like a high fever.

The other passengers could see that they were tense.  One of the carriage’s passengers ran and hastened to tell the train attendant of the situation.

The train manager’s voice passed through the onboard loudspeaker and quickly spread throughout the entire train. “All passengers please pay attention. All passengers please pay attention! There is an old comrade on this train who has a sudden illness and urgently needs the help of medical workers. If you are a medical worker, please come to the second carriage and contact our train attendant for assistance-”

Hearing this reason, someone in the sleeping carriage who heard the announcement lifted his  face from his book and adjusted his glasses on his nose.

When Mother Lin heard the announcement, she instantly turned to face the other passengers and exclaimed, “Why are you looking for a doctor? My daughter is a doctor!”

“Your daughter is a doctor; go on then have her check my husband immediately.” Aunt Fang yelled at Mama Lin in a hurry.

Mother Lin turned back to her daughter.

Lin Liqiong walked over slowly.  She held her glasses, looked at the uncle’s mouth, which was open wide as if she was checking carefully.

“Maybe it’s a toothache? I saw multiple cavities. I think tooth decay and swelling of the gums caused his fever. Then, when we get to the capital, you can go to Xuanwu Hospital in the city. I’ll help him register this old man there.”
