Fake 8: The Power Of Faker

Yamaoki Rin
Survivor – Lv3
Skill – [Faker] <<Wave Blade 2>> <<Fireball 3>> << – >>

“Ooohhhhh~it’s as I thought. As the level rises, the skill column of [Faker] increases. Moreover, the skill usage per day has also increased.”

I didn’t have any convictions when I was at level 2, but now that I have become level 3, it confirmed my assumptions.
It seems my [Faker] skill can increase the number of skills I can access as my level rises.
Furthermore, the number of skill usage for the skills, which I just used in the earlier battle, has increased by one.
Apparently, if I level up, even the limit of skill usage per day will increase. (T/N: Yeah, the author likes to repeat a lot.)
It might be because [Faker] is a rare skill that I haven’t seen any other survivors who have the same skill as mine even to this day. That’s why I didn’t realize its true abilities.

Because of my skill’s exceptionally awful performance, I’d spent my time without telling anyone about it except when I was joining temporary parties. So, there is virtually no one even in school who is aware of my skill’s abilities.

Of course, I think the Survivor association knew, but nothing was said about my skill. So it might be that they don’t have any particular interest in the skills of the lowest-rank survivors.
However, with this, I have become able to use three skills.

“Haha……Me, triple skill holder? It is just like a lie.”

Although imitated skills were fairly degraded versions of the 'originals', it still felt like a ridiculous thing.
Two skills were sufficient enough to face the goblins as opponents, but depending on the other skill, I might be able to aim for higher levels.
Because of this unimaginable situation, I was very excited so that I became out of character.

It’s been four days since I became level 3 and could imitate three skills; however, I have no choice but to keep using only two skills. Even today, I attained another victory against the goblin opponent using [Fireball] and [Wave Blade].

Skills that can be imitated by [Faker] are only the ones that I’d seen up close. However, I was moving solo recently, so I haven’t met any survivors even once.
As for me, I wanted to fight after imitating the third skill as soon as possible, but I’ve rarely seen the skills except for the ones my party members use.

It’s not that I don’t have a method.
I also feel it is possible to create a situation where I encounter another survivor's battle scene if I purposely ignore the request that came to me and head to the location a little later by assuming that another survivor will accept the request.

However, as one would expect, that method is detestable.
Supposing I ignored the request intentionally, the monster subjugation would delay. Furthermore, if the damage resulting from it were to be magnified, that kind of thing wouldn’t be tolerated.
I would not put other people in danger just because I wanted to imitate some skills.
For that reason, I haven’t imitated any skills for four days, arriving today.

“If it is like that, how about I go around all over the town by bicycle?”

On my way home after defeating the goblin, I came up with a good idea that seemed to be the only way. But I have already used my skills today, so it is dangerous to get involved in another battle.
I’m going to do it tomorrow.
Using skills seemed to be quite tiring since I could sleep better than usual after defeating monsters.
The next day, while I was returning from school, the terminal rang with a different sound than usual.

“Beee~bee~ep” (T/N: Yes, the author just wrote ‘beep beep’ longer than usual lol.)

When I checked the notification that came with a different sound, it was about the appearance of a monster in the vicinity and an evacuation order for me.
